Works fine for me, just need to spawn in the item "PSDoorLock2" with admin commands. Couldn't find it inside of the wiring station for some reason.

Nevermind it only works in admin mode. The Blueprint is hidden from the normal player.

It's more to do with I didn't realize some data transfers over from one character to the next. Blueprints, I think, only have to be discovered once per universe . So, since it was "discovered" on my test char, it applies to all other chars on my system; even though they technically didn't discover that blueprint. Which means I thought it worked, cause I used a different char than the one I used when writing the mod. In reality it doesn't work, cause that char is on the same universe as the char I used during development.

Probably something wrong with the patching code. I'll have to cut the whole universe out for testing, instead of just using a different char.

Yeah, the recipe doesn't appear until after you actually have a lock console in your inventory

I'm not sure why the blueprint works for me, but it seems to be a problem with a lot of people. I'll look into it.

It is perhaps conflicting with another mod. Starbound hasn't updated in quite some time, so it should still work.

So I tried spawning it in to have it appear on the wiring craft list (as I read in a Reddit comment) and it still isn't showing up on the list of what you can craft. Ideas on what I could do?

this mod with another mod has made it imposible to brack in to somwons house/base on a server i played wich has stoped theving...... intill the server owner found rpg growth now we got people tping to homes and looting chests skiping the need for doors and key cards so i got to thinking what if there was a chest that can only open when you held a keycard would stop thieving all to geather.... unless they turn off the froce feild all house/base have right now but the mod with those you can hide it esaly somwon only found mine once before and lootied from me

The console should be available at the wiring station, under sensors (second tab). Otherwise the item ID is: PSDoorLock2. I haven't dug into how other mods might interact with the recipe, but there is some evidence FU might. If it becomes clear this is the case, I'll try and look into a fix.

Do you mean make generic items like iron or steel function as a keycard? I could, but I don't see the point. Either the door opens for anyone who happens to have the item (which makes the lock pointless), or it's just a re-skinned keycard. If you have a specific reason for this feature I'd be happy to consider it.

You are correct. If you want all the doors to open with one console, then wire all the doors to one console. If you want each door to be controlled individually, you'll need a console for each door.

ive read ur reddit article but im still curious about some things... :D

do i understand it correctly if i am saying that the function basicly like a scanner and at each door i would need one?

Or is it enough to have one for an rather large area if the defined scan radius is big enough?

add a console sized 3x2;1x2 or 1x1, that be neat for rooms structured in an uneven numerical count of blocks.

I thought about adding a lock-picking mini-game that could be enabled, but I couldn't come up with an original idea. If a bunch of people want the Admin to be auto-registered for every door I could add that, I suppose.
