Can confirm you always get 0 writer points... I looked at the functions in the lua and I think you are getting the unit IDs wrong somehow, but I'm not good enough at civ modding to tell how exactly

I love the ideas that went into this mod but I can't get the Great Writer Points for upgrading units to work.

Thanks for your reply. I removed the culturalOverview.lua from this mod (I did not find this file in JFD's mod). However, I still got the same issue with a different cause. After I disabled this mod, the culture overview worked well.

Assets\DLC\Expansion2\UI\InGame\Popups\CultureOverview.lua:560: attempt to index field 'ColumnImageControl' (a nil value)

That's an error that happens any time you have multiple active mods that replace the CultureOverview.lua file. Delete the file from either the Gaels or Russia (it doesn't matter which) and the error should resolve itself.

I got the following error in the Lua when I enable both JFD's Elisabeth Russia and this mod. As a result, the culture overview interface could not be open

TopHat's Gaels (v 1)\Lua\CultureOverview\CultureOverview.lua:642: attempt to perform arithmetic on field '?' (a nil value)

Besides the great writer point bug you also do not retain the special abilities of the special units that replace the swordsman when you upgrade. The pillage goes back to normal pillage after you upgrade them but the icon under the promotions is still there.

Need to fix you get no great writer points on upgrades like it says you get. You can see my stream on twitch I just did playing as these guys, and it said +0 great writer points every time I upgraded and I got nothing.

Very nice, but I personally would have chosen Brythons as the name for the old Celts.
