Just a little word to say that with my bro we just played this map for the first time. I have no idea why it's not more popular. It's one of the most gorgeous and well built level I have played. All props are legit, lightwork is beast, layout is interesting.
Dang dawg
You da real MVP down there!
KF-QuarantineBreach if someone wants to add it to a server
TUMBS UP
But maybe thats my problem with the map. Its not "new". It's a very good rearrangement of official stuff.
A really "new" map from someone which is working so long and detailed on maps could be best of the game.
Regarding your decision to stop working on KF2 maps. I truly understand this. But i would say not every uploaded map has to become official. Sometimes its just nice to play on sth new. If its a port from stalker or something weired or what ever.
Funding. It's all about funding, unfortunately. The map was originally developed with the idea of eventually including it into Killing Floor 2. That was my intent, anyway. But it isn't a decision i can make by myself. It's all up to Tripwire, not us creators. They didn't want it. The "last chapter" segment refers to the fact that i simply cannot keep creating quality content such as this without being paid for it. "Quarantine Breach" took 6-7 months from start to completion, "Spillway" took some 8-9 months total. So you see the dilemma. Projects like these require planning, testing, and a lot of trial and error in some aspects of them, like difficulty balancing. Not to mention they are absolute time vampires. Sure, i could make some amateurish 2-week maps, but what's the point? Making cherry product was the whole point. We're supposed to go up in standards, not down.
and rather add this and other workshop items.
The quality is amazing
