Before you comment guys, read the comments, mod likely dead if there is not someone else who picked it up. I check up on the comments every now and then to see if it gets updated.
The Bard of Hearts 23 Apr, 2024 @ 11:14pm
also hoping for a 1.5 update. Does anyone know if its still working at all in 1.5?
olaflex0306 14 Apr, 2024 @ 1:02pm
1.5?

pls
Enlonwhite 16 Dec, 2023 @ 3:42am
Definitely had fun with this on Ice sheet runs, sad that it no longer functions correctly. maybe some one may pick it up one day.
PGMP 2 Sep, 2023 @ 11:58am
It would be so cool that you could fuel it with clothes or burnable weapons
Vartarhoz 23 May, 2023 @ 9:53pm
You can build them but they produce no heat.
The Blind One 3 May, 2023 @ 7:31am
Works fine for me ...
J 2 May, 2023 @ 9:21am
It's a shame this doesn't work for 1.4, it looks great and is an obvious gap in vanilla.

To anyone looking for an alternative until this gets updated, the portable stove in 'Camping Stuff' seems to work:

Was thinking, maybe remove the tech from the vanilla tech tree and just assign heaters to the smithing tech itself?

Afterall ... what is a smithy if not just a slightly more elaborate heater with shaping tools? This saves clutter and prevents the tech from overlapping with other techs people add on the vanilla tech tab.

@Moving Target @nicorinpana @qqun @Valikdu @D'Car

Yeah, it seems so! Gonna search for a solution!
D'Car 1 Feb, 2023 @ 5:36pm
Looks like chemfuel heaters aren't working for me, either.
Valikdu 18 Jan, 2023 @ 6:07pm
Wood heaters don't seem to be generating heat in 1.4
tartar 16 Jan, 2023 @ 10:29am
not work
nicorinpana 25 Dec, 2022 @ 3:20am
not work for Me,too. heater power is low.
Moving Target 19 Nov, 2022 @ 4:12pm
Chemfuel heater does not work for me. I started a new game with no mods or DLC, main menu says it's version 1.4.3542. A campfire and wood heater heat up a room the same way, but the chemfuel heater just says power use low and does not.
Sand Dog  [author] 13 Nov, 2022 @ 6:22am
@lol
Omg. Thank you :)
lol 13 Nov, 2022 @ 1:17am
These guys look better than original. Should be vanilla lol
Sand Dog  [author] 13 Oct, 2022 @ 8:31am
Updated to 1.4!

Everything should work ok, but let me know if something doesn't!
Zetro 25 May, 2022 @ 5:13am
id like to suggest having a temp control on these like a normal heater does. as far as i know it doesnt have one and id like to use this without a accompanying cooler for ice sheet and sea ice. right now it heats a average sized room to 80F or higher.
Anon 3 Sep, 2021 @ 10:15am
Cute and sensible mod. I'd suggest merging the research projects to one and instead make the chemfuel one require both your research project and the vanilla chemfuel refining project.

Or remove them both because in vanilla the wood and chemfuel generators only require electricity

@MONKE
Hello!
I'm mostly concentrated on "pragmatic" mods, so no cosmetic ones are planned now.
You should check for mods that add new furniture like this one, maybe you find something interesting for yourself:

@The Blind One
Oh, thank you! :D
Really glad to hear that :)
The Blind One 27 Jul, 2021 @ 2:24pm
Okay I have a big big problem with this mod.

So I electrified my base and now I have to replace my awesome looking wood/chem powered heaters with shitty looking default heaters. This is an outrage!

Nah just kidding man, this is an awesome mod, I love these new heaters so much it makes me sad to see the default ones. That just means you did an awesome job.
LupineWitch 25 Jul, 2021 @ 1:30am
Hello, would you mind adding some kind of stone fireplace? You know, for something more cozy to put in the room?
Sand Dog  [author] 19 Jul, 2021 @ 12:19am
@The Blind One
Yeah.
The base game allows to build campfires right on the floor, but doesn't let to put one into a metal box. Weird :)
The Blind One 18 Jul, 2021 @ 11:09pm
Mad Science at its finest. Who could have thought of this?
Sand Dog  [author] 14 Jul, 2021 @ 12:32pm
Updated to 1.3!
Beanslinger 24 Jun, 2021 @ 11:37pm
some high quality business right here
Viper 20 Jan, 2021 @ 8:43pm
I *think* the compatibility for Proxy Heat will have to come from Logger @ Proxy Heat (not 100% sure tho). I'm asking him for that compatibility now :)
Lotus Elise 19 Jan, 2021 @ 1:37am
Can you make your mod compatible with Proxy Heat and Coal Extended?
Vertigo 9 Oct, 2020 @ 2:11pm
Any chance these heaters could support being "minified"? As a "balance" to it, you can lose the wood/fuel currently within the heater upon moving it.
21 Sep, 2020 @ 5:25am
Does this support coal from coal expanded too?
Kayedon 13 Sep, 2020 @ 11:17am
Chemfuel heater has the wrong description:
"Produces heat by consuming chemfuel. Must be periodically loaded with wood fuel by hand."
Voldrath 25 Aug, 2020 @ 10:55am
Moving chemfuel heaters to the electricity research seems to defeat their purpose as an alternate heat source. Especially for tribals for whom electricity is a huge research step.
Sand Dog  [author] 28 Feb, 2020 @ 2:05pm
The mod was updated to 1.1 version and should work correct with both 1.0 and 1.1 versions now!
Evennacht 6 Feb, 2020 @ 1:24am
This is called a wood fuel generator. Which makes heat and electricity. You can even use the electricity to fuel a heater!
Paladin 18 Jan, 2020 @ 2:51pm
Do you plan to add chemfuel lamps. And add compatibility for Rimefeller. Then you will get fully autonomous heat and light sources.
Sand Dog  [author] 12 Dec, 2019 @ 6:03am
@Nickdos
They do

"<li Class="CompProperties_HeatPusher">
<compClass>CompHeatPusherPowered</compClass>
<heatPerSecond>21</heatPerSecond>
<heatPushMaxTemperature>28</heatPushMaxTemperature>
</li>"
Anon 12 Dec, 2019 @ 5:11am
>They work absolutely same to the Vanilla campfires! Provide the same amount of heat and have +28*C limit
Vanilla campfires don't have a temperature limit though
Sand Dog  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 1:12pm
@scheeks
Yeah, I'm going to update the coal mod soon to make it compatible to the heaters

@Bleuhazenfurfle
Hmm... Interesting!
Ok, I should think about it then :)

@Alyx
Thank you :)

@drackalol
They work absolutely same to the Vanilla campfires! Provide the same amount of heat and have +28*C limit
drackalol 6 Dec, 2019 @ 8:07pm
Do these make the same amount of heat as normal heaters? Trying to heat my enclosed map made into a room to a deadly temperature
Acid 6 Dec, 2019 @ 7:41am
Love this mod 11/10 works great for my greenhouses in propane lakes(alpha biome mod)

@demondizzi if you're looking for a fueled freezer, there is a medieval mod on the workshop that gives you an ice box and a way to make ice from "hay" for some reason, that ice will "fuel" the ice box in a room though one round of fuel only lasts around 3.5 days so you need to stack ice into the freezer for easy refueling. or just live in a permanently frozen biome ;)
Bleuhazenfurfle 6 Dec, 2019 @ 2:21am
@Wemd, re: @Demondizzi: Google "gas powered freezer"… They're a thing, no electricity needed.
Fifty Nien 5 Dec, 2019 @ 10:46pm
honestly i dont use mods so i prolly wont use this. buuuuut this is super smart so i think the devs should add something similar to heat rooms like instead of having fires and stuff
scheeks 5 Dec, 2019 @ 10:32pm
The heaters don't seem to accept the coal from your Simple Coal mod. Is this as intended? If so, can we get a coal furnace as well?
Sand Dog  [author] 5 Dec, 2019 @ 1:09pm
@5katz
Not sure what you mean really. wood-fired one is already medieval

@JageriuS @Dasubur
Thank you :)

@Yolo$wagger
2 separated structures. It's already medieval ;)

@Demondizzi
I'm not sure really. Fuel burning can only make air around hotter. "fueled freezer" can only be an electric freezer with it's own steam generator, so it depends on electricity as well
Demondizzi 4 Dec, 2019 @ 4:23am
you should add fueled freezers too...
Yolo$wagger 2 Dec, 2019 @ 10:40pm
Mod sounds good! Didn't try it yet, so my question is:

Are the 2 heaters behind a right-click context menu of the vanilla heater? Or are they each seperate building to choose from?

Also, I agree with 5katz - wooden heaters into medieval tech please!
Dasubur 2 Dec, 2019 @ 12:51pm
wonderful little mod
JageriuS 2 Dec, 2019 @ 8:30am
Simple yet brilliant!
LoggerC4 30 Nov, 2019 @ 12:28pm
Awesome, thanks for this!
