To anyone looking for an alternative until this gets updated, the portable stove in 'Camping Stuff' seems to work:

Afterall ... what is a smithy if not just a slightly more elaborate heater with shaping tools? This saves clutter and prevents the tech from overlapping with other techs people add on the vanilla tech tab.
Yeah, it seems so! Gonna search for a solution!
Omg. Thank you :)
Everything should work ok, but let me know if something doesn't!
Or remove them both because in vanilla the wood and chemfuel generators only require electricity
Hello!
I'm mostly concentrated on "pragmatic" mods, so no cosmetic ones are planned now.
You should check for mods that add new furniture like this one, maybe you find something interesting for yourself:

@The Blind One
Oh, thank you! :D
Really glad to hear that :)
So I electrified my base and now I have to replace my awesome looking wood/chem powered heaters with shitty looking default heaters. This is an outrage!
Nah just kidding man, this is an awesome mod, I love these new heaters so much it makes me sad to see the default ones. That just means you did an awesome job.
Yeah.
The base game allows to build campfires right on the floor, but doesn't let to put one into a metal box. Weird :)
"Produces heat by consuming chemfuel. Must be periodically loaded with wood fuel by hand."
They do
"<li Class="CompProperties_HeatPusher">
<compClass>CompHeatPusherPowered</compClass>
<heatPerSecond>21</heatPerSecond>
<heatPushMaxTemperature>28</heatPushMaxTemperature>
</li>"
Vanilla campfires don't have a temperature limit though
Yeah, I'm going to update the coal mod soon to make it compatible to the heaters
@Bleuhazenfurfle
Hmm... Interesting!
Ok, I should think about it then :)
@Alyx
Thank you :)
@drackalol
They work absolutely same to the Vanilla campfires! Provide the same amount of heat and have +28*C limit
@demondizzi if you're looking for a fueled freezer, there is a medieval mod on the workshop that gives you an ice box and a way to make ice from "hay" for some reason, that ice will "fuel" the ice box in a room though one round of fuel only lasts around 3.5 days so you need to stack ice into the freezer for easy refueling. or just live in a permanently frozen biome ;)
Not sure what you mean really. wood-fired one is already medieval
@JageriuS @Dasubur
Thank you :)
@Yolo$wagger
2 separated structures. It's already medieval ;)
@Demondizzi
I'm not sure really. Fuel burning can only make air around hotter. "fueled freezer" can only be an electric freezer with it's own steam generator, so it depends on electricity as well
Are the 2 heaters behind a right-click context menu of the vanilla heater? Or are they each seperate building to choose from?
Also, I agree with 5katz - wooden heaters into medieval tech please!
