Hello, do you know if it hide the vanilla ck2 traits ? For exemple brave in vanilla doesn't give dragon taming chance etc

Works great because I'm not an imbecile who can't follow instructions. Thanks!
Crimson Eye Raven 21 Aug, 2022 @ 12:23pm
It's simple, everyone that doesn't get the instructions. Go to your computers Documents>Paradox Interactive>CKII>mod> Then find this mod's (.mod) file. Open it with Notepad.
Find the line starting with dependencies=.
At this point come back to OPs instructions and copy-paste it from dependencies= all the way to the } under "A Game of Thrones" "Ruler Designer Unlocked!".

Go back to the mod file you now have open in Notepad.
Find dependencies=, highlight everything past but including dependencies= all the way to the }.
Paste what you copied from OPs instructions.

Save.
Enjoy Mod.

I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW TO EDIT THIS
HpgOT!?!@efifixtO 30 Jun, 2022 @ 1:59pm
What the fuck are you talking about? I don't understand these instructions.
SilverMoonGaming (Tanya) 5 Mar, 2022 @ 10:21am
Ok my brain my be small here but i have no idea where the "" are suppose to go. Are they suppose to go in this Mods Folder? If so where cuz i only see (Common, Decisions, events, the PNG and the descriptor) or is it in one of those, or is it the Mods folder it self?
Masoninsicily  [author] 27 Aug, 2021 @ 8:52pm
When you go into your ck2 folder in your documents and go to mod, there is a file called "ruler designer unlocked! agot supplement.mod" that needs to be edited (it might show as "ruler designer unlocked! agot supplement.mod.mod" and that's ok). The whole file will look like this when you are done editing

name="Ruler Designer Unlocked! AGOT Supplement"
archive="mod/ruler designer unlocked! agot supplement.zip"
dependencies=
{
"A Game of Thrones" "Ruler Designer Unlocked!"
}
picture="2019-05-12.PNG"

You add the quotation marks around A Game of Thrones and Ruler Designer Unlocked! because when it downloads, it does not include them because of whatever reason the upload process wants to fight me on.
Conartist223 27 Aug, 2021 @ 10:55am
What I mean is, you say to add quotations to (A Game of Thrones), but the problem is there is both a mod-file and a .mod-file of that name, not including the folder containing data itself.

(“ruler designer unlocked!” agot supplement.mod) , and (“ruler_designer_unlocked!“.mod.mod) are much more self explanatory, but simply saying "A Game of Thrones" doesn't really arrow it down, since this mod has one dependency needing quotations, with a shared name across multiple files and folders.

In theory you could add quotations to each one until it works, but that seems like a lot of work vs just asking you for clarification.
Masoninsicily  [author] 26 Aug, 2021 @ 6:55pm
@Conartist223: You'll need all 3. The changes I make in my mod supplement the original "Ruler Designer Unlocked!" but doesn't replace it. And of course the GoT mod is needed for the GoT content, I just can't list it on this page since it's not on the steam store.

For the directions, you'll still need to go edit the "ruler designer unlocked! agot supplement.mod.mod" file that is included in my mod because the ck2 upload messed up the dependencies for whatever reason. Hope that helps.
Conartist223 26 Aug, 2021 @ 9:21am
So I'm not quite sure about the directions, but maybe I'm just dumb.

You say to edit the file, but do you also change kadet4's mod name too? Is it just A Game of Thrones and your mod, or all three?
Masoninsicily  [author] 12 Aug, 2021 @ 3:43pm
Haven't touched it in a while, but updated for compatibility with 2.2. The mod uploader insists on messing up the .mod file in the documents folder so that still has to be manually fixed before using the mod.
Oblivion 5 Jun, 2021 @ 11:51am
There are (litterally a couple) traits that have years on them, but the mod seems to work fine for me and i'm on 2.2.
Chaoscontroldds 9 Feb, 2021 @ 3:10am
nope
Kila 12 Oct, 2020 @ 5:58am
Compatible with 2.2?
Masoninsicily  [author] 19 May, 2020 @ 5:21pm
You remembered to include the "Ruler Designer Unlocked!" mod and the "Game of Thrones" mod as well? When you download from the workshop all you have to do is alter the "Ruler designer unlocked! agot supplement.mod.mod" file to look like the line included in the description. If you use the direct download, after you extract the files you just have to drop both the file and the folder directly into the mods folder and its good to go.
Shaxce 18 May, 2020 @ 11:11pm
I used your direct download and the only result is that it removes all of the characters on the map while also reverting to the normal time periods. I have checked and yes it is your mod.
Masoninsicily  [author] 5 May, 2020 @ 10:01pm
Did you follow the instructions in the description and adjust the mod file like it says?
czakora 5 May, 2020 @ 9:15pm
i have extracted the folder into the mod folder, but the traits still cost and theres no rdu options, what did i do wrong?
Masoninsicily  [author] 10 Feb, 2020 @ 7:54pm
Documents > Paradox Interactive > Crusader Kings II > mod
Pvl Mad Dog 9 Feb, 2020 @ 1:59pm
Where do i find the mod to change the dependencies?
Masoninsicily  [author] 9 Feb, 2020 @ 1:26pm
Check the description, there's a step you have to take due to the way CK2 handles dependencies when uploading mods.
Masoninsicily  [author] 8 Feb, 2020 @ 9:45pm
If installed correctly, no traits from base game or GoT should have cost. If you have any other mods that add traits, this mod will not change those.
FENRIR 22 Jan, 2020 @ 3:57pm
okay i did it it works now
Masoninsicily  [author] 20 Jan, 2020 @ 10:48am
Did you follow the instructions in the description to fix the dependencies?
FENRIR 19 Jan, 2020 @ 1:54pm
i dont think that the mod is working the trait costs are still there
WHOPPER WHOPPER WHOPPER 3 Jan, 2020 @ 1:11pm
You, my good sir or madam deserve the biggest hug available because your making dreams happen lol. Thank you good.
Masoninsicily  [author] 3 Jan, 2020 @ 7:47am
Aaand updated. Keep in mind there is an issue with out CK2 currently handles dependencies. Follow the instructions in the description or the mod will not work correctly.
Masoninsicily  [author] 3 Jan, 2020 @ 7:07am
I am currently working on the update, hang tight!
WHOPPER WHOPPER WHOPPER 3 Jan, 2020 @ 3:19am
Will this be updated to the 2.1 soon??? The dragon riders and egg are still 50 and 100. and other things are costed as well
Freddy King 20 Dec, 2019 @ 6:22pm
Meant to put it there
Masoninsicily  [author] 20 Dec, 2019 @ 6:46am
Any core functionality of RDU will need to be redirected to the author of "Ruler Designer Unlocked!" You can find the link in the sidebar. This mod simply bridges the gap between that mod and "A Game of Thrones" it doesn't add any new functionality.
Freddy King 19 Dec, 2019 @ 9:44pm
great work just one thing that would be useful is being able to become human again after becoming a beast
Khorne Flakes 17 Dec, 2019 @ 4:11am
Wow, just as I'm about to get back into this mod I find this! Thank you so freaking much for this, what an amazing christmas gift! :D
Masoninsicily  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 2:54pm
The best i can suggest if you cant find it is download "Everything" from https://www.voidtools.com/ it acts as a search indexer for your computer that works better than windows search. Install it, let it index your computer, and search for "Crusader Kings II" or "Paradox Interactive" to find the folders. If windows search doesn't work for you, that is.
Nikolajgs 8 Dec, 2019 @ 1:27pm
none of my mods.
Masoninsicily  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 12:45pm
You can always try to unsub and resub as well.
Masoninsicily  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 12:45pm
Are none of your mods there or this one specifically? If this one specifically, you can try the manual download and just extract into the mod folder. If none are there, I've no clue.
Nikolajgs 8 Dec, 2019 @ 7:12am
thanks but i tried looking there. it's why i came here. is there anywhere else it could have ended up?
Masoninsicily  [author] 7 Dec, 2019 @ 5:25pm
If you mean after you download it, it will be under Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod.
Nikolajgs 7 Dec, 2019 @ 4:55pm
dumb question. where do i find the mod? cause currently i can't find it.
Kubercik 6 Dec, 2019 @ 3:23am
