Any plans to add the expansion content to this mod?

@agodd Its a 4 player game.
Kazmund 16 Jan, 2022 @ 7:52am
Downloaded this a long time ago and hard experience with the Workshop has now shown me what a good adaptation it is. Thanks for making it.
Agodd 11 Sep, 2021 @ 1:19am
Thank you for this MOD!
I didn't understand if this game is for 4 or 5 players.
ChaosFloorTile 20 Mar, 2021 @ 6:53pm
Thank you for adding the expansion!

@[EMP] Alaska I do. Should be up this week or next.

Thanks for creating this mod, are you planning on adding the Dark Alliance DLC?
Anzelak🦑 3 Sep, 2020 @ 5:46am
@David C Sorry mate I never replied. It must have been server being weird as it eventually loaded the assets :)
lexules 20 Aug, 2020 @ 2:41pm
Thanks for the response. I'm happy that you tried and couldn't recreate the issue. :)
David C  [author] 14 Aug, 2020 @ 6:36am
@lexules I can't recreate the problem, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's an issue or bug with Hotseat. I have had many random problems like yours when trying Hotseat in the past.

One other possibility: is it the white player color that isn't showing up? There is a glare on the table edge that makes it difficult to see the white player color when selecting them.

Sorry I can't be much more help than that.
lexules 14 Aug, 2020 @ 12:38am
I don't know if anyone else has this issue. On hotseat, I put in four players but can only actually play with three. I tried with five players too and still the seat across from the start (player 3 in my game) doesn't ever come up. Am I doing summit wrong?

Created a fork of this mod to include a setup script for unique devout and opposed loyalties, picking first player, and adding the Dark Alliance DLC:

Thank you for updating the table with a Kickstarter notification! I wouldn't have known about it otherwise!

This fantastic game and a new expansion are live now on Kickstarter! Great opportunity to show some support for the real creators of the game!
wezza 16 May, 2020 @ 1:52pm
@HasturMain ah thanks, their suggestions actually seem like it could work really well. will definitely try that out
David C  [author] 16 May, 2020 @ 9:14am
@wezza Not officially, but if you enjoy messing with house rules and unofficial expansions, there is actually a fan-made 5th player expansion on boardgamegeek.com that has some really neat ideas; the designer himself chimed in and said he liked it. You'd have to upload everything and do some work with the mod to make it work, though.
wezza 16 May, 2020 @ 3:58am
Is there a way to make this game suitable for 5 players?
David C  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 9:33pm
@ThordanSsoa Glad you found an easier way. Have fun playing!
ThordanSsoa 6 May, 2020 @ 6:55pm
Unsubbing and deleting the mod apparently didn't clear all the local files. Deleted the local cached copy of the card faces seems to have fixed it. Finding it in the images file was a pain, but we got there.
David C  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 6:08pm
@ThordanSsoa Well, I have one more idea, but it'll be a little work on your end. You'd have to import your own custom deck using those card images.

Let me know if you don't know how, I'll help you out when I get the chance.
ThordanSsoa 6 May, 2020 @ 5:16pm
The link seems to lead to the right place. Opens up an image of all the different card faces. I verified my game files and that had no effect.
David C  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 4:56pm
@ThordanSsoa Hmm, I don't know then. I'm inclined to think it's a TTS issue. Masterclips had a texture loading problem and reinstalling helped him. Verifying game files is a safe bet first, or unsubscribing from the mod and resubscribing.

Next time you get a chance, right-click on one of those decks and click Customize. If you visit the URL listed under Top Image, does it load up an image of the card fronts?
ThordanSsoa 6 May, 2020 @ 4:44pm
That imgur link was a screenshot of my game. Those are the normal empire cards. The backs are still visible, but the faces appear as this weird yellow/black pattern. All 5 empire decks have this issue.
David C  [author] 5 May, 2020 @ 8:06am
@Masterclips thanks for following up and letting us know it's working now!

@ThordanSsoa I didn't use imgur links in the mod at all, so I don't know what that link is from. I've spent the last few minutes double checking all the components, but all of them are linking to Steam cloud. Which cards exactly aren't loading?
Masterclips 5 May, 2020 @ 12:40am
Quick update: Mine is working again. I think my TTS had an issue so i uninstalled. Removed the workshop files from the mods workshop folder. Then reinstalled TTS. All working again. Maybe i had some sort of corruption. I'm not sure. Anyway....i'm back playing again. Great job.
ThordanSsoa 4 May, 2020 @ 10:24pm
The normal cards don't seem to have textures on their faces any more? https://i.imgur.com/ScL3pyg.png Am I missing something or did this get broken by accident?
Masterclips 4 May, 2020 @ 12:06pm
I seem to have now lost all textures. Great so far bud!
pelimaanikko 25 Apr, 2020 @ 11:58pm
Great improvements lately! A player-specific (hidden) real-time score counter would ultimately be the greatest thing!
Sarcasm_Duelist  [author] 22 Apr, 2020 @ 12:33am
@HasturMain Hey Hastur, I sent you a friend request as I did some scripting that I'd love to add to your mod and can show you a test copy.
tracerterent 19 Apr, 2020 @ 6:55pm
So I played through a game last night. It was great. The change states of the cities/forts/farms was super helpful.

One issue that hilariously kept happening was that a few of those were not locked so when a player moved their armies they ended up picking up the cities as well. But that appears to be fixed as of the time of this comment.
David C  [author] 17 Apr, 2020 @ 2:37pm
@Sarcasm_Duelist I see what you mean, but if you're playing with cheaters you have bigger problems, I figure :) You can always shuffle your hand with R before arranging them.
Sarcasm_Duelist  [author] 17 Apr, 2020 @ 2:25pm
@HasturMain One of the reasons I suggested using a random bag to draw from at the beginning is I think if the loyalty tokens start in a static order in everyone's hand, you could technically watch your opponent rearrange them thus knowing what their loyalty tokens are ... I know, I know that's suuuuuuper fiddly but others seemed to worry about cheating a lot. Personally, I just wouldn't play the game with someone that would do that :)
David C  [author] 17 Apr, 2020 @ 7:27am
UPDATE:

- Deluxe Edition Empire cards now included + rulesheet! (Thanks to Sarcasm_Duelist for making it possible)
- Another suggestion from Sarcasm: I added a second set of Loyalty Tokens in everyone's hand. After completing the Loyalty step of setup, players can rearrange these tokens to match their player board and have a constant, visible reminder of their Devotion level to each Empire.
- Enlarged hand sizes to make reading cards/tokens easy, even with full hand.

Thanks again for the feedback!
David C  [author] 17 Apr, 2020 @ 7:11am
@Sarcasm_Duelist Thank you for the Deluxe Edition uploads! I'll get to adding them shortly. They will be in a separate pile for optional use.

As far as the loyalty token thing, I'm going to try that idea, see how people like it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Sarcasm_Duelist  [author] 16 Apr, 2020 @ 11:15pm
As for the previous comments on dealing with the loyalty tokens, my solution is to make a copy of each loyalty bag for each player. The players start by drawing the contents of one of the bags into their hand. Then, they pull the tokens randomly from the other bag, placing them on their sheet as normal. Finally, you peek at the loyalty tokens on the sheet so you can rearrange the copies of the tokens in your hand. Tokens in hand will always be visible, but invisible to other players.
Sarcasm_Duelist  [author] 16 Apr, 2020 @ 11:11pm
@HasturMain Changes look great! Sorry this took so long, but I lost access to my normal scanner given the pandemic.

Here [1drv.ms] a onedrive folder with images for the 11 new cards and the 2-pager instruction manual for the deluxe edition. There's also a .zip in there with the 12 files if you prefer.
David C  [author] 16 Apr, 2020 @ 6:09am
@Rudi Thank you for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it.
Rudi Berko 16 Apr, 2020 @ 3:27am
Had a ball yesterday playing your module, well implemented, well scripted, elegant and smooth, splendid !!
David C  [author] 15 Apr, 2020 @ 12:35am
UPDATE:
- All Forts, Farms, Cities are multi-state to make switching colors easier. Thanks goes to tracerterent for the suggestion.
- Added Empire Card guide
- Auto-randomizing Loyalty Token bag added
David C  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:25pm
@tracerterent no way to make them invisible unfortunately, but I can make the hidden areas separate areas and very small/short. I'll mess around with it because I like the idea of seeing them the whole time; my short term memory sucks.
tracerterent 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:22pm
Actually the more I think of it the more I agree with your original premise. The main issue is cheating.
tracerterent 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:20pm
If there is (and I am new at this so I have no idea) a way to create invisible hidden areas then that would fix the problem of it not looking good. You could just have one on each side of the board since this is a four player game.
The main issue though is cheating where people move things in their hidden area and pretend that they were that loyalty all the time. For this (and again I don't know how) it would be great to be able to duplicate your loyalty board in your own hidden area somehow and changes to that would be visible (moving chips around) to other players.
David C  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:16pm
@tracerterent Thanks for the feedback; if I hear more feedback in that regard I'll reconsider the hidden areas.
David C  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:13pm
@tracerterent I realized one of my sentences from earlier is a little misleading. To be clear: players will see that you are peeking, not the actual thing you're peeking at.
tracerterent 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:13pm
Sorry but that is not really a good option. It would be much better to have hidden player areas. Yes I am aware that players can create them themselves but it would be far more convenient for it to be there by default.
David C  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:11pm
@tracerterent that state idea is good one. I'll do that later tonight. Thanks.
David C  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:09pm
@tracerterent the simplest way to avoid the problem you bring up is to ALT+TAB over your loyalty token any time to view it without revealing it. That's the peek mechanic, and it will show other players when and what you're peeking at.

Alternatively, place a hidden area over your player board. I don't include that in the mod because it looks bad and isn't necessary.
tracerterent 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:08pm
Also changing color tint on the objects is frankly annoying. It would be more helpful if you could alter the state on it to change color somehow.
tracerterent 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:03pm
How does this work exactly? There are player hand zones but the loyalty tokens aren't enabled by default to use them.
I feel there needs to be a way to see your own loyalty tokens without moving them over and over again to check in case you forgot which is which.
Perhaps doubling up the loyalty track for each player will be more helpful so that there is one in their hand zone (which should also be hidden honestly by default).
