Probably a mod bug, this mod hasnt been adjusted for 4 years (and havent played as2 for a long time aswel) and its not unlikely that in the meatime there had been a few changes to the audiosurf engine which might have caused these issues. And at the same time, its also track dependant so i might have just been lucky with not witnessing this.

You need to get rid of the loops, they're self intersecting and makes avoiding greys unnecessarily difficult.

Thank you. The mod should be up soon, then.

thats fine. i havent been updating any of my as2 mods for ages anyway

Do you mind if I use your function for clearing grey blocks and keeping score for my own mod as long as I attribute them to you? The mod essentially makes ninja-mono from Audiosurf 1 much harder by speeding it up and adding more greys.

Does this have the original speed too?

Please include side-swipe functionality of colored blocks. I have no idea why this was taken out of the game by default in all modes, because it feels incredibly awkward.

actually would u like to make a iron mode for this ancient mode ?
It was really great and fresh my feeling back while i'm playing AS1
but without iron mode is a little bit uncomfortable.

I think both numbers have their merits, though it really depends on what you like. Taking away fewer points means that you can use the ability more often (which makes the game slightly easier), though in AS1 the time limit between uses kept you from just spamming it. On the other hand, taking away more points encourages you to wait until the board is filled more before using the ability.

Really either works, because the real penalty for hitting a grey is the loss of points you get from losing your combo, as well as the loss of the stealth bonus. Next to that, both 11 and 777 are nothing.

That screen IS Audiosurf 1, Freshly Reinstalled and as updated as it can be.

What ancient version are you using then (especialy since you were able to make the screen)? As i did play audiosurf a long time ago aswel yet for me it allways had been 777. Good to show the screen though as it shows that there are more variations than i expected at first.

Also, the name classic just refers to the as1 version that is currently active since as2 didnt have a gamemode equal to that. So im not sure if i should change that to 11 (it wouldnt make shuriken rewarding to use but would at least allow a bit more tactic play at chaining - where in as1 shuriken at 777 was something to avoid in the first place).

Actually, Bassclef is right, in the original Shuriken only took off 11 points per use:

You are remembering it wrong, it allways has been 777.

I really like this mod, it feels really true to the original. I was curious, though, I seem to recall in the original that using shuriken only took 11 points off your score, not 777. Any particular reason why you decided to change that, or am I just remembering wrong?

ironmod would be greate (no fins/shuriken, grays disappear from itself over time and all those stuff)

That is actualy a very good idea. Ill see what i can get

Yup, now works fine. By the way, I've got a little idea. I think it would be so awesome if the icons (uigraphic files) of these three classic mono modes was also similar to the original mono's icons (like ninja's one which's on my avatar). Just a thought. =]

Well spotted, 1 line was missing from the code that realy removed the points. I updated the mod already

Yay, my beloved Ninja Mono is back! =D Thanks for creating these, now I can use my skins with classic mechanics. Just one thing: is it just me, or does Shuriken really not take away 777 points?
