Well @attaru1 that's strange, as I've tested them many times in order to get them balanced to the game experience. Could you give more details on how they overpower? What the Ai actually do when it has them? In my gameplay, it used to keep them in a far shooting place, as a common marksman unit.

Greetings! By "gain", do you mean recruiting? In this version, they are a RoR, in the other one, there's no limit, you can have as much as you want.

did you make and then later delete a mod that added "colonial infantry" or something along those lines, with khaki/tan outfits and dark green armor to look like ww1/ww2 commonwealth infantry?

Hey guys, I disappeared from modding for a time, but now I got some time to polish my older mods and perhaps (let's hope) complete some other projects of mine. The unit limit was added again, but there's a new standalone (classic) version (link on the last sentence of the description). I made other changes too, so don't forget to comment on this :cozybethesda:.

hum but wouldn't it just be a submod? I don't really know the done thing but if it was an optional add on that requires the one its adding to, its just that Wolfhard expedition themselves have extra barriers to use them, like 60 turns or something of extra steps lol

Well, adding them to barracks 2 would be a little unbalancing, because they are a elite unit, and accordingly only a properly upgraded facility could be able to train such regiment. Anyway I will surely consider the idea.
And about adding them to the "Empire Navy", I would first need to contact its modders, because I can't edit it without their proper permission, if more people ask this I will make a submod!

Would you consider making them barracks 2... or a submod that does that? Why? well - they are out of reach if you aren't playing mad man easy mode on ME as specifically markus wolfhart of the expedition, and you'd be saving a coop game! XD You see his level 3 is locked behind his faction stuff, but I'm nomading it using the admiral mod - red admiral, these dudes.... I think you understand what I'm doing here lol.

@nelsonds012 thanks for your comment! I'll surely consider your ideas, the "amount of units per building" you mean like one specific structure tier increases a recruitment cap for them? And the mountain thing is not really connected to the Rorke's Drift (well actually the Zulus came from the mountains), but your idea is certainly welcome!

thank you for removing the unit limit, yes its extremely unbalance, yes is not lore friendly, but good god! its extremely fun! you can make entire doom stacks with a few boost and just spray army after army before they even get to you.
NOW to make more interesting and dynamic I have a two ideas that could make it a lot more fun and "lore realistic"
1. you could make a limited amount of units per building, like the imperial foot mod or the heroes
2. make them available only on buildings on the mountain climate since it say "down the mountains they come"

Thanks for the unit cap removal version can now do a role play campaign. nice of you to put out a ROR 1 cap ? = No fun version for the 1 scrub I know they will enjoy it in there own way but much appreciation for the No Cap Version.

Forget my last update comment, my modding tool was updated and now I discovered the outdated tables, and updated them!
The bad news is that the officer will use musket bullets on his pistol, as the function that could make it different from others does not exist anymore on the game...

Updated! My modding tool (PFM) does not indicate any changings on the structure tables, I just reuploaded it so it could flush any old parameters of the launcher on the mod.
Report if the mod isn't working, but I think I'll need to wait the next PFM update...

The bayonets were a thing i would love to have on my unit, unfortunally no models on the game have it, and there's no animation compatible with a bayonet melee attack, as no unit on the game uses the gun itself on melee...
I'm thinking on a new roster of musket infantry to the Empire...Line infantry could be a great addition!

Have you thought about using the muskets with the fixed bayonets? Like the fusiliers mod. Just a thought, more units like this would be badass maybe a weaker uniformed line infantry version. Great work, thank you.

@wm.j.olson, The rate of fire has been determined by the real history recharge time of the modern rifle british troops used as main infantry weapon on the African Colonial Wars (same as the Officer pistol), the model is from a musket because of the game model...Same to the uniform, i'm trying to make the unit more close to the real life history and more far away from the game lore itself.

Thanks. A fine addition. Still can't figure why no one has made such a unit type. Just a suggestion, but you also might want to consider scaling back the firing rate, which would answer for some of the concerns about being over powered, and mute the uniform colors slightly in line with the Empire.
