@McLaren - there should be no difference. We updated 2018/19 in line with 2020.
Not A 180NZ 27 Oct, 2020 @ 6:57am
I use both 2019 and 2020, i'm only using 2019 because i'm doing a VASC championship with my mates and they say the 2019 cars grip better than the 2020 ones, I don't see the difference
also cheers Flash
FVRfactor  [author] 27 Oct, 2020 @ 4:02am
@McLaren MCL35 - yes what a pain are the windows, surprised you haven't got the 2020 mod.

It's a bit confusing but for the Ford
Extra2="pitbox"
Extra3="helmet"
Extra4="grille"
Extra5="rims"
Extra6="rimpaint"
Extra7="dash"
Extra8="windowsout"
Extra9="windshieldin"
So you could call it your carnumberwindowsout for outside and inside carnumberwindshieldin - I think it can work as carnumberExtra8 and carnumberExtra9.

The Holden is different
Extra2="pitbox"
Extra3="helmet"
Extra4="grille"
Extra5="rims"
Extra6="RIMPAINT"
Extra7="dash"
Extra8="windowsout"
Extra9="windshieldout"

The Nissan
Extra2="pitbox"
Extra3="helmet"
Extra4="grille"
Extra5="rims"
Extra6="RIMPAINT"
Extra7="dash"
Extra8="exWindow"
Extra9="inWindow"

This is because the cars were made over several years. 2020 mod we tightened it up.

Aye Flash, what's the naming convention when it comes to making a livery, I can't seem to get my window .dds to apply to the car, the body .dds works fine
dan.42 24 Oct, 2020 @ 5:46am
anyone know how to remover certain teams ?
Damo 9 May, 2020 @ 6:17am
Awesome Mod keep up the good work! Definetly 5 rating i would give this mod.
Insomnia74 29 Apr, 2020 @ 5:12pm
Thx Flash and the FVR team once again
FVRfactor  [author] 28 Apr, 2020 @ 4:27am
@Craig - it became 9.06E - usually reflected in the graphic above of what car is which update. when 2020 cars come out the version numebr will be 20.0 or something like that.
Craig Stoddard 24 Apr, 2020 @ 2:59am
You are a legend Flash thanks, really appreciate it
FVRfactor  [author] 23 Apr, 2020 @ 12:50pm
@Craig Stoddard - sorry about the confusion mate. An update to fix that issue is being uploaded right now and it will be Mustang 9.06D
Craig Stoddard 22 Apr, 2020 @ 11:52pm
No it was the no.5 Bottle'o Mustang sorry turns out when in single player its the 9.06c which is awesome, then on the server i race on i noticed they are using the 9.06 witch is why i was confused. Could you please look at the collision values for the mustang im sticking to other cars like a magnet even on the slightest bump. Cheers Flash
FVRfactor  [author] 5 Apr, 2020 @ 1:12am
Sorry everyone I screwed up a file - I will upload a file tomorrow morning. I've actually broken the Fords except for the DJR. So the dash displays don't work.
FVRfactor  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:47pm
@Bjoern - yes thankyou - I'll get that sorted today.
Bjoern 4 Apr, 2020 @ 1:36pm
issue hands/steeringwheel in my VRview also occurs in car no 5,6, 23 and 55 car, so all Mustangs without the Penske´s I think.
FVRfactor  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 7:45pm
ISR also has a heap of tracks
RCRacing 3 Apr, 2020 @ 4:44pm
Tx Flash
FVRfactor  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 5:40am
Sorry I meant 23 car not 18
FVRfactor  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 5:36am
@Bjoern - could you confirm is it all Mustangs or just the 18 car
FVRfactor  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 5:34am
@Craig Stoddard - is this in the Milwaukee car?
FVRfactor  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 3:55am
@Craig Stoddard - I've had a look using my VR and I'm sitting with my head near the B Pillar of the car. If I look down I can see the driver shoulders and I can adjust that out on both the ZB and Mustang. What can you see?
FVRfactor  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 2:02am
Is there a track list? Not from us. We have tried to setup the mod to cater for all the tracks around, I think if you search rF2 and each Aussie track you will find them here there and everywhere , we have a beta version of Newcastle on Steam under FVR.
RCRacing 1 Apr, 2020 @ 4:14pm
There a track list for this mod. I have been out of the loop for awhile. With situation the country is in I am finding myself back into simracing. Thanks
FVRfactor  [author] 31 Mar, 2020 @ 4:49am
@Craig Stoddar - yes I had a report on that today from our Facebook site. Strange because we didn't change anything related. I'll get the VR headset on tomorrow and see what I can find and why. I hope it doesn't somehow grab my settings and export them out. Anyway rest assured we're going to get that sorted quickly.
Craig Stoddard 31 Mar, 2020 @ 3:55am
In addition to Bjoern's comment on the Mustang cockpit view, the VR positioning is incorrect. Driver is sitting too far back and all the seat adjustment in the world doesnt get you close enough. only changed in the last update. Apart from that i love the Mod
FVRfactor  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 1:52am
@Bjoern - will check it out.
Bjoern 29 Mar, 2020 @ 1:10am
Would be nice, if you could take a short look at the mustang cockpitview in 9.04v of this beautiful mod (tyrewear is perfect in my eyes), seems drivers hands are off / in front of steeringwheel now !?
Feralarri  [author] 27 Mar, 2020 @ 3:20pm
David for that amount of wear IMO you must be sliding or under steering the car a lot to cause the excessive heat and tyre wear. Lap time you mentioned is way under what a supercar does at Melbourne (1.54 laps). These tyres are S397 tyres altered to suit our cars. If the real life car were to slide around this much it too would have 10% wear per lap and tyre would overheat and become useless. These cars are 1400kgs on a very small tyre and the cars have to be driven with some respect off that. V8supercsr drivers are very good at minimising the sliding of the tyre to control this. Our mod is based on this series hence why the tyres are like the way they are. At this stage we will not be changing the tyre and we have other leagues who are using the mod and are
Ok with the tyres.
nipzon 27 Mar, 2020 @ 2:31pm
We’re running tyre wear @x4 and can easily do 10laps at a good racing pace. For us, rf2dus, it’s a great equalizer between the top guys and the rest of the field. Remember even the RL drivers know you cannot treat tires in race at qualifying pace.
David LESPES 27 Mar, 2020 @ 7:27am
I totally agree with Mathieu.
Problem is that the thermal degradation is way too high, because the tyres take easily more than 100°C as soon as you put charge on it. They cool down quickly, but if overheat starts, it's impossible to manage.

According to Carstat, thermal degradation begins at 69°C. The problem are these peaks temperatures wich really kill the tyres super quickly. In SuperSoft tyres on Melbourne, in a qualification lap, I have nearly 10% of tyre wear in a single lap. FYI, pole laps were in 1.47.5...

Some drivers in our league can't manage 15mn with the soft tyres. Myself, wich i'm very cautious, it's difficult to have a 30mn run in Soft tyres. There's a gap of maybe 3-4s per lap

This is really a shame because this mod is so much fun to drive, but most of our pilots are very disapointed with this problem.
Feralarri  [author] 27 Mar, 2020 @ 2:35am
Mathieu I ran 8 laps on Melbourne tonight running 1m 55s laps on SuperSofts and my worst tyre wear was 13% on LR. Track temp was 29C. Sorry but I am not seeing the wear you are saying
Feralarri  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 5:32pm
Also mate you have the option in setup to lower tyre wear to 0.5x or lower if you wish
Feralarri  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 4:58pm
Mathieu with the tyre wear issues are you running your tracks on normal or 1x wear for tyres. I know other leagues that run with these tyres and manage. You can drive and maintain speed and reduce tyre wear by keeping temp down. If you use car setup and monitor temps tyres will last. In RL Supercars you can’t just run flat out or tyres don’t last. It’s the same with this mod
FVRfactor  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 1:15pm
@ML: I see you are referring to 9.04 - will check them out tonight.
FVRfactor  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 1:14pm
@ ML: A lot of questions to answer in such a short space. I'm not the physics man but I have put the request out to Gav. The DDS issue is on the 15 car is odd as they are the same car, same everything, just a upgrade setting difference. Graphically the same, hmmmm. Will have a go tonight. Cockpit view on Commodore, will check why that has happened. Is this all version 9.04?
Mathieu Leclerc 26 Mar, 2020 @ 10:38am
FlashQLD: are the tire model of FVR 2019 is the same in FVR 2018 and in FVR 2014-2016 ?
Mathieu Leclerc 26 Mar, 2020 @ 9:49am
by using the double compound tire
for use
SUPER SOFT was to much wear due to toomuch heat in corner

our idea is :

==> SOFT compound should be renamed SUPER SOFT

and create a new compound SOFT that would have the capacity of a MEDIUM tire

a minimum of 30 minutres running at full speed with les than 1.5 to 2 secondes between start of run and end of stint.
Mathieu Leclerc 26 Mar, 2020 @ 9:43am
in addition: on skins

We notice a problem on Nissan Altima #15 castrol
it has a problem, a window DDS texture is a missing in LE mod
IN or EXT windows.DDS is missing and this way the windows are blinding the view
a grey shadder impossible to drive in cockpit view.
Mathieu Leclerc 26 Mar, 2020 @ 9:42am
Flashqld,
VIEW The cocpkit view in holden not optimal, it starts on dashboard we have to go far back with seat position -260 to get a view of the steering wheel. So question can it be modified yes or no

TIRE WEAR We are using your excellent mod FVR V8 2019 to simulate V8 races, we use the double compound but Super Soft tire with every drivers don't last more than 2 or 3 laps. in our 1st race 30min in Adelaide some driver used the SOFT compound and after 28-29 min there was only 3 % of rubber on tires (front and rear), lap times completely fall down at end on run
maybe adelaide is more demanding than Barbagallo or Melbourne (yesterday race) But we got fed up drivers who wants to leave the championship because tire wear is not possible to handle with

I choose to drive the altima, but mustang and Commodore, all drivers have the same issue with the tire wear.
FVRfactor  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 9:58pm
@ Nipzon and Mathieu Leclerc No we didn't intentionally lose the speed limiter noise, will look into that one.
Can what be modified? What is the issue. It shouldn't have changed. Let me know quickly on this one.
The supersoft tyres haven't changed in this version and Feralarri had run hundreds of laps on them. Maybe he is a freak. I will discuss with him. Are both front and rear or just rear tyres not lasting.

nipzon 25 Mar, 2020 @ 8:57pm
The speed limiter noise when leaving the pit lane was there before the update, only noticeable in replays
Mathieu Leclerc 25 Mar, 2020 @ 5:44pm
Thanks for the update (v9.04)
Unfortunatly we had a planed race tonight so it was to late to use this version, it will be on next race.

In this update:

- Did you twicked the noise of speed limiter ? When we switch it off a noise continue for 50-60 seconds out of pit?
- About the cockpit view in holden can it be modified ?
- About the tires? the supersoft tires are not lasting enough for a race of 20 minutes. Is it normal ? we can only use them in qualifying and on 1 or maybe 2 laps on short tracks. Do you plan to make a modification?
thanks for reading
FVRfactor  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 12:38pm
Version 9.04 is released. Enjoy.
FVRfactor  [author] 23 Mar, 2020 @ 12:43pm

FVRfactor  [author] 6 Mar, 2020 @ 1:52am
@papas_99 Only thing is click the subscribe button. Exit out of steam and then restart rF2 and it should load up.
