Updating here since I can't edit my previous comment.

I built a Star Wars mod list of 200+ mods except for this mod and ones that require it, like Advent to Galactic Empire, and the game ran fine. I reinstalled this mod and Galactic Empire to give them another shot and they have been working fine now. It hasn't crashed at all in the few hours I played today. I have no idea what could have changed, if another mod is fixing the crash, or what.

I am experiencing crashes just like described in the handful of comments before mine. My logs are filled with "LegendaryGear: Returning mesh string: A2X_Sockets.Meshes.SM_Head_And_Sockets_M" and the game crashes when viewing one of the first cutscenes that triggers while scanning on the Geoscape/map.

The mods I am using that would be interacting with this one are:
Advent to Galactic Empire [WOTC]
Mandalorian 3rd Party Faction [WOTC]
Imperial Surplus, Revised and Expanded (WOTC)

Even disabling each of those and running ONLY Animation and Sockets Supplement [WOTC] I am still experiencing this issue.

Yeah can confirm, somethin making this mod still plays games. The intro cutscenes even get a bit of a stalling issue before freezing up and crashing game. Might need a bit of word of what's not compatible enough with this.

I recently started getting crashes that seem to be coming from this mod, which is odd. I can use specific squads just fine, then all of a sudden using that squad will always result in a crash after trying to move past the "press any button" to start a mission.

This mod does indeed crash because of the GPU.

I believe people when they say that their games are crashing, but I can only troubleshoot crashes that I can reproduce; and the only crash related to this mod I have ever been able to reproduce occurs when the Community Highlander is not enabled.

I've used this mod for every campaign that I've run since 2019 and I did a test just a few minutes ago with a barebones modlist just to ensure that there wasn't some surplus dependency I wasn't aware of that was enabling this mod to work. Everything ran fine.

If you-and others-do have Community Highlander subscribed and enabled and are still getting crashes, I can only guess that there's a conflict somewhere in your modlists but I don't know what other mods out there might conflict with this one.

well brother if multiple people are saying this crashes games, it probably crashes games.

It always crashes for me after "launch mission" is clicked on the squad screen. already the squad screen is hella laggy. Loading screen then freezes and it crashes. I'll try and upload a paste bin log when it happens again

The only reproducible crash I've ever seen with this mod is if someone tries to use it without community highlander.

Oh, one more thing. Might be important. It's start of a new run, said autopistol and gautlet was added via console. And whole thing happened, when my templar had those equipped during templar introduction cutscene.

Got exact same string of errors like Bardmaster did. Freeze keep happening on armory screen, when I equip my templar with items from: [WoTC]Legacy of Chosen, autopistol and gauntlet.
Got multiple warnings like those, with rising component numbers:

Only thing I can think of that would cause a reproducible crash with this mod would be not having the community highlander (see required items). If you have Alien Hunters DLC, make sure you get the Highlander plugin for that as well.

@Deathviper: this mod contains animation sets in its packages (which I don't mind other people using) but there are no templates.

@kamykrak: sorry. I have already published more mods than I can keep track of, I'm not really interested in subdividing existing mods. If I ever figure out the mod cooking thing I may go back to some of my old mods and apply that but I ran into technical issues last time I attempted that.

the file is very big can we have some divided version ? for example i just want the retractable arm blades but for using them i need to have this adding a 1gb to extra that the game has to load

seen that crash log similarly on running out of memory or grimmy loot mod conflict (but im just guessing)...or you two could cross reference mods to attempt to find a possible culprit...

I should also add that I was getting intermittent crashes, with the same string of warning messages, on the squad selection screen as well (using Robojumper's of course). None of these crashes seem like they would be related to anything associated with this mod based upon activity being performed (equipping soldiers, mission loading without indication of Mandalorians and I'm still T1 so too early for Dark Eldars to appear), and yet the below-posted error string is what I see every time.

@MostlyHarmless, I am sorry to report that your amazing work is causing a fatal crash. Easily replicated. I had this error and was scratching my head, removed your mods (this, the Mandalorian Faction, and the Dark Eldar Faction which I truly love to death) and had no problems. Then, upon re-enabling your mods it immediately crashed upon starting the next mission.

When I use this mod and Put Powered Reaper Armor on my reaper the game crashes are there any mods with known conficts. That might cause this?

I don't suppose this mod makes soldiers using the templar gauntlets in the primary slot NOT look like they're holding an invisible weapon and instead use the Templar idle anims?

I did test the dual pistols with vanilla pistols, some pistols I had modded in and also some Lord Poncho had made and they all worked.

So, if there is a problem, it might be specific to particular pistols.

So idk if its this mod but im curious if anyone has seen problems with the dual wielded pistols mod animations when using this mod. Im trying to diagnose my issues but the animations for akimbo pistols stutters and reverts to the normal pistol draw, then firing with 1 invisible pistol and one normal one. This is the ONLY other animation related mod I have so I guess Im hoping this is the root of the problem?

I am a fan of being able to have my dudes walk around with pistol and sword in hand, but whenever firing the left handed gun the sword hand starts to go through all the animations of putting the sword away before using the right animation to shoot xD Just thought I'd say that

After using this mod for a while I believe that its possible to have a General Grievous character mod (with 4 some what functional arms/squad light sabers).

Honestly I feel anyone could do it @roland3710 could, even got a Light saber mod with dual wielding using 1 weapon slot.

One thing that bugs me that's the running animation is very off as it's using the scientist run, which is slow and doesn't match with the attack animations. Maybe try and use the Templar running animation? It's the same and far faster than the scientists jog

Just updated this mod in order to address potential conflicts that had been reported and may have been causing enemy units that use some of these same animations to T-pose.

As for your question, the left hand pistol fire animations are based on modified heavy weapon animations. They should hold the weapon straight when aiming but it does jerk back and to the side after firing.

Just tested this, awesome mod but one question though, are they suppose to fire the pistol all gangster style or is this a bug?
