You can add Boeotian Helmets with crests to Theban picked Hoplites for viery and historical accuracy

Could you perhaps give the Theban Picked Hoplites the Hoplite Wall ability?

Thank you!

hi nice mod

Yeah I’ll think about a “Korinthian Noble Hoplites” unit that is superior to Picked Hoplites, but inferior to Royal Spartans, with maybe a cap of 4. I need more Land units in this mod, 4/5 have ended up naval units.

I've added veteran hoplites for all greeks and a special variant for Konrithos in my WoS unit mod to fill the gap between hoplites and picked hoplites. However, especially adding unique naval units is a great idea!

I think it's not unhistorical to create a Korinthian elite hoplite unit formed by Korinthian nobles, maybe with a unit cap. Give them good armour and cloaks. But they should be weaker as royal Spartans because Spartan soldiers were superior due to their well known agoge [en.wikipedia.org].

A sword would be possible to, but the kopis came later in age and all greek melee units in the DLC are spear infantry.

I'll have to think about whether I want to implement something like that. Do you have any suggestions for a Korinthian (or any other faction) special unit? I'm trying to keep them sensible and reasonably historic. There are a lot of other WoS mods that go crazy with overly "badass" units, but my goal is to add flavor to a mostly bland campaign. I see that you are doing something similar with your new mod.

Or they need to be unlocked through technology which would lead to a later appearance depending on research progress.

@Nor Dogroth, you might be right actually, although it's not super concrete when they started. I'll think about maybe calling them something else so they can basically be a "Proto-Sacred Band". Let me know if you have other suggestions!

Good idea! But I think the Sacret Band was founded in the 4th century.
