I was somehow still subscribed to this one from when I was asking you about how you built it when I was just starting. - Alternatively, I am familiar with the edits you made and could rebuild this mod.

I don't want to cross advertise unless you don't mind me linking it, but I did get my mod working that restores the original dodge if folks want to try that as an alternative.

I understand. Funcom seems to be busy with the dlcs and such so I'll keep waiting for some one to pick up their slack (mostly on the roll matter. Cheers

That is quite correct. I unfortunately reinstalled my pc and forgot to backup most files. It was relatively simple to achieve and if I ever get back to playing Conan I'll probably just redo the mod.

@Brother Aron - check your mods for anything that changes AB_human_male or AB_human_female such as WonderBody, or other replacer. My friend and I have just finished testing a ton of mods, only to come back and see that notice.

Maybe they have a fetish for heavy armor, so they sabotaged the rolling mechanic to force everyone to also wear heavy armor.

Yeah, I'm still on the grind to get the mod working, but at the moment I'm currently focused on other things.

@Filthy Cur I agree, the main reason why I made the changes to the rolling is due to the fact that Funcom hasn't even talked about fixing hit boxes which are a main problem due to how bad the netcode for the game actually is. Having a terrible dodge system combined with the fact that enemies attacks happen before they play and last longer than they seem, just make dodging a completely useless mechanic.

Ahhh, so the last update did break your mods, I've been getting the AB_human_male/female crashes. In my case it was trying to put a weapon in hand, even bringing my fists up crashed the game.

Hope you don't have to rework too much of your mods to get them back up and running, those cheeky devs certainly keep modders on their toes. I prefer your style of the dodge system, feels more reasonable than what the devs have in place. I'd say theirs would work, if they'd fix the hit boxes and hit detection, but they got their priorities mixed up with that.

Tragic, this mod convinced me to try playing the game again because their changes to dodge literally ruined the part about combat in the game I enjoyed the most. Though sadly this mod CTDs the game the moment you move, so the last update really hurt this mod in a bad way.

So, we've had issues with our server since the big update the other day. We finally got everything fixed and running, until someone tries to join. We narrowed it down to Reworked Dodge or Repurposed attributes. Something about the old character data isn't transferring to the new files. I'm going to suggest that you may need to update your mods to work with the new files.

If i can ask only a single thing can you make the Heavy Roll Max AGI Speed closer to the Medium Roll Base Speed in order to replicate the old 4th perk of agility?

The problem is definitely the newest patch, since it seems that they updated the files I modify to make my mods work. I'll look into upgrading them to make them compatible with the latest patch, but it means that I'll essentially have to re-do the mod in order to use the newest files.

New patch might be messing it up @BakedCookie.... Also, wish it worked with the QoL mod. Then maybe this new dodge system would be more bearable, even without the original distance. Why did they have to mess it up... :(

Used this mod alongside Fashionist earlier this week, but today they refuse to work together. Such a shame, this mod really made combat feel better.

For some reason this mod has just started causing crashes for me, out of the blue. I don't have another mod that causes a conflict (that I know of) tested it with other mods disabled and for some reason now everytime I launch I crash. Something to do with kicking, when I kicked the game crashed now ever since then I can't even load in without a crash. Before it was working absolutely fine, I haven't changed a thing and for some reason it's just not working now. Which is a shame because I really loved this mod, but I can't use it now.

So far I haven't found a way to bring back the old roll distance, so this only affects the speed at which each roll is executed. So it goes without saying that at the moment, it doesn't seem to be possible to bring back the old dodging via mod :\

@reaperhaze122 Yes, this mod is compatible with AoC, a friend and I played the entire game with both mods installed. But just to be sure, load this mod (and my other mod in case you're using it) after AoC.

@Zoe Q'rl I wouldn't really know how to make such a mod that allows the admin to decide the speed at which npcs would run, mostly since editing speed values would require a change in data tables, which can't be modified within a Blueprint (this is where the main modding happens). In any case, I'm not really looking out to modify such values, since I'm currently working on another mod that handles combat in it of itself.

Another question. Is it possible to make NPCs, human thralls and even player thralls run a bit faster but letting admins decide the speed?

I ask 'cause I tried a mod that does that but it cripples the player too. I think rather better with enemies that run a bit faster but cannot cripple you. It should be the MaxAggroRange that controls how far or how long the enemy will hunt you. They should give up the hunt after the decided value in MaxAggroRange. Well something like that :)

@Zoe Q'rk Are you saying that the more points you put in agility the slower your roll feels? Because if that's the case, the problem can't be my mod, since its the complete opposite way. If you're asking if I've made the speed even slower, then yes. Since last time you asked I tweaked the values a bit more (which you can check by how much in the change notes tab of this mod). But the change shouldn't be that noticeable for the most part. And about the mod you have installed, it shouldn't have any compatibility issues judging by what the description says, but even if there are, the problems would be causing that mod to not work, not mine, since you're loading mine after it.

Next thing to consider, is if you have my mods at the very end of your load order, in case another mod changes the same files as I do, and if they do, its quite possible that my mod can break them if loaded after them.

It feels like if roll speed is further slower. You informed it was decreased and putting points in Agility will increase the speed but it feels like it has become even further slower now a second time after your statement.

Can it be some other modification? I have them in this order:

Unsung Attribute Boost, Reworked Dodge, Repurposed Attributes & More.

@[TEJITAS] Unfortunately I don't think there's a way for me to make the mod work with QoL since I can't apply these changes to roll outside of the file I'm editing, and since QoL changes that same file, they just can't work together. Only thing I can think of, is if somehow the mod author of QoL were to give me his AB_Human_Male source files so that I can see if I can implement them to my mod and upload another one as an addon, but I doubt that'll either happen, or that I'll have the time to maintain that one as well, since it would most likely be out of date whenever either mod updates.

Yeah it works with both Wonderbutter and Wonderbody female replacer's but has to go below them in the load order. If you have Aquilonia Server Mod as well, this has to sit above Reworked Dodge. Having Reworked above any female body replaces causes following thralls to slide along the ground instead of running.

@darxel so now its no solution if i use improved quality of life in my mods?, i always used it so i want to have better dodge, but still it's the most useful mod and almost make no changes to the game

@Twin I'm sorry that you're having some sort of problem, but my mod doesn't mess with any of the files that handle Pet and Thrall XP gain. So my only guess is that some other mod you have installed is causing the issue, by either being the only thing responsible for it, or it edits the AB_Human_Male file, adding dependencies to it that are required for his other changes.

@Kodi022² Yeah, I wish I could make my mod compatible with every other since I know how important some mods that change the same file as I do are to people. But unfortunately, the only way for me to get it to be compatible with mods like Quality of Life, is if the author gave me access to their source AB_Human_Male.uasset so that I can include its edits and add them onto mine so I can make an addon-like mod. (Which would unfortunately be out of date as soon as either his, or my mod are updated, or even if the game itself is updated).

I was kinda assuming it was that mod, since it changed so many files that are character related. Hopefully something can happen to allow them to work together, especially since both are basically must-have mods

@Kodi022 Thanks for posting your complete modlist, it helped me find the problem within your load order specifically. This problem is a mere compatibility one, and the crash is caused by the interaction between Improved Quality of Life and Reworked Dodge. The reason for this, is because my mod edits the file AB_Human_Male (which in turn also edits the Female one), which is a file edited by the Quality of Life mod as well, so if you load my mod after it, your game will crash, if you load it before, no changes will be made to the roll.

You have AoC, Paragon leveling AND this mod and it's partner...those all are affecting characters and how they level and usually are not easily compatible with one another.

I hope the problem for the error gets found, i tried adding the roll to my server for a bit and it caused everyone to crash while joining.

Thanks for keeping me updated. I'll keep testing. There must be something I'm not accounting for as these were all I had at the time. At least now I know its something else!
