i once read a thing about it and it said something to do with replacing and renaming the materials but i'd imagine you put it into whatever the corrisponding folder would be or make a new folder and name it you can also open the vmt with vtfedit and you may need to change the folder path to the name of the folder you choose to create

with my prefabs they are vmf

ive been doing this for a while i kno GCF and how to rename to replace but these prefabs are a little tricky like i said i got the model to be there but its invisible so its materials arent being pathed becaus idk what to rename or what to rename it to but its all good ill fig it out thanks for the help

if you really want to get into modding use gcfscape to extract a vpk and see how it works then you can reverse engineer

do i house the 2 materials folders in a new props_interiors folder and edit their vmf path or what?

did what you said but all i get is an invisible model i dont know what to rename all these materials u have in here considering default models dont have that many materials i renamed the models thats fine but the materials are split into 2 folders n have weird names so what should i do?

ive tried many dif methods of compiling this but i cant get it to work nice mod bud but no idea how to use it

then pak it with vpk.exe by draggging and dropping your mod folder on top then under l4d2 authoring tools click mod manager and upload it there

ya you just have to rename the materials to the names of the materials for the machine you want to replace and make sure to edit the addoninfo
