@kurochama, already tested in many ways so here's my conclusion about this mod:

if this mod works as standalone mod, it definitely needs ammo safety and ammo refill. but it can be solved by your item drop bonus mod or that m60 fix mod.

if this mod works with your gun collectors lite mod or double primary mod, it can auto refill itself (as a good bug ofc) when switching guns. so ammo safety and ammo refill is no need in this case.

@WuChan , probably there might be some unknown conflicts with my other mods then.

Btw I also just finished testing, & the ammo of m60 turret here isn't affected by m60 real ammo. So it's a custom ammo from this mod, & m60 mods that can make m60 refill ammo probably can't refill this turret. The easiest way to solve ammo refill would be making the ammo count connect to certain gun other than m60 (for example, rifle), then, load the ammo data of that gun when m60 is installed. So, anytime the rifle is refilled, ammo data of rifle will be transferred to m60 turret to replace the m60 turret custom ammo.

@kurochama already tested in map 2 > map 3 and it's normal, no bug like you said, the only bug I think is when player crouch on turret, it may consider that player is not even in the game so it's stop firing.

@WuChan , my mod Item Drop Bonus actually also has the ammo safety & ammo refill for m60 & grenade launcher, & m60 will get reserve ammo as much as smg (650), but I haven't tested to pick ammo for this turret with that mod.

@kurochama let me test. btw. there is a mod already can fill that ammo safety & ammo refill is Grenade Launcher & M60 Fix [Server Mod] . the code style inside is kinda similar to yours. may be you can implement the ammo safety and ammo refill from tagged mod to this turret mod

@WuChan , I modified it into infinite ammo instead :steamhappy: . Well, it it's ammo safety & ammo refill, I think there are some mods that can make m60 pick ammo & have ammo safety too. I wonder if the ammo here can be refilled with those mods or not. Btw, did you ever get similar bug like mine on this turret? If not, you could try a new campaign on gamemaps named "Bloodsoul". Somehow m60 turret got bugged when I tested there, like the first 2 maps worked but after map 2 it's bugged, until I fixed it myself by changing "IsAlive()" to "IsDead()".

@kurochama, this mod only needs 2 things to be invincible: ammo safefy (for normal mode) and ammo refill.

@★ CrossGun ★ , probably I found the cause of this bug. I also got this bug recently when playing certain custom campaigns, & there's an error on console like "IsAlive does not exist". This error actually makes the turret detection on the living survivor fail. This actually can be replaced by "IsDead()", with the opposite function, like:
- "hPlayer.IsAlive" = "!hPlayer.IsDead()"
- "!hPlayer.IsAlive" = "hPlayer.IsDead()"

Replacing "IsAlive" with "IsDead" will fix that bug.

Btw this a good one. The mechanisms of using it are simple. The turret aim is also perfect, & when I modified it to have 360 degrees of shooting angle & farther shooting range, it can deal all zombies even without me doing anything :steamhappy: . I also modified it to have infinite ammo, just to have fun with zombies. Probably it's one of best turret mods I've ever seen.

@★ CrossGun ★ , probably one or some of your mods conflicted with this mod. I tested this several times, even when I was in the process of making the alternative mod of this one that replaces gnome by adding a virtual inventory to keep the gnome, with infinite ammo & ammo that can destroy zombies even in normal shots, & this mod worked perfectly. To check which ones of your mods having conflicts with this, try to disable all mods & use only this one on "Gib Fest" mutation

console = sv_turret_max_ammo 9999 - when you pick up the unit, this value resets - I have never come close to using that much at any one time - I'm not even good at this game, play only with bots and never seen it below 9600 before I picked it up and move to another area

maybe you could make it like a sniper support, put him with a looooong range and ammo and high damage, but with some slow rate of fire, like a bolt action reload, it would be a cool little thing ngl
