ok, thank you

It should not affect performance, but it will heavily alter the appearance. You'll need to substitute the cockpits with something else

Does it still run properly without having the decorative dlc 2?

is there a way to only have the truck part blue print for servers that done support multiple girds on the projector

@MultipedSet1963 All you have to do is replace the cockpit, the paint skins will just resort to either clean or dirty. :)
OctoBooze  [author] 30 Jan, 2020 @ 1:26pm
As you can see the cockpit is a DLC block so unfortunately as it stands, not without slight modifications. Some of the paints use DLC as well.

With a tiny bit of rework, yes. But directly out of BP no.
MultipedSet1963 30 Jan, 2020 @ 1:23pm
Is this able to be used without DLCs??

Yes, the DAS. It controls the wheel settings to allow dynamic adjustments based on weight and clearance and so, so much more. I noticed that front wheels don't turn much anymore when doing the crane addon. It should be full 6 wheel steering but it seems to severely limit the range of motion for no reason. I suppose you could just turn off the PB and manually alter the wheel values if you want it to turn tighter.

Cheers :) Its funny how its easier to drive it backwards then forward. I just keep driving it backwards all the time ^_^

Is there a way to switch between the which wheels steer and how they steer? I mean if i want it to steer like a normal truck with front wheels can i set a button to change the "drive mod"?

edit: to my understanding, its using script to control the wheels. Am i wrong?

So many functional! Nice! :cozybethesda:

Looks lovingly over-engineered! It's great. Nicely done Eddy :)

Let me proudly present you the mk.II version. Still in prototype stage but its hell of a fun ^_^ https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1980520502&tscn=1580116921 more pictures in a workshop.

Glad you enjoy it!

Mengsk... Like an Fav!

Driver error, I'm making a storage cave with your H2 trailers. Hitting the walls a lot, lol.
But seriously, great build. The detail elements (driveshaft, etc) make it tons of fun. Tonka trucks in the 21st century.
OctoBooze  [author] 26 Jan, 2020 @ 8:29am
Wait... what? How is that even possible. Must've driven awful close to something :o
Pri0n 26 Jan, 2020 @ 8:15am
Close quarters turning = the mirrors come off. Just like real life!

Yeah I got inspired by that truck. Dunno how back then, but now (at least on a local server) the game is well optimized for large number of objects and I use different size connector to get different size of the ejected rock. Large grid connector spits out largest rocks and small grid connector ejects pretty big rocks too. Its the ejectors that spit out smallest rocks so i dont use ejectors only connectors ^_^ Like in this case. For the size of the truck, i could say its a bit overkill https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1884065893

Lt.Starbound 26 small grid LCC (406,000L) is still just a hair under the capacity of a single large ship LCC (421,875L)... Really puts grid differences into perspective! I don't think it's overkill when you think about it :)
Ciiborgz 23 Jan, 2020 @ 11:21pm
Just subbed to all 4. Great stuff, using for a mining base on Mars.
Rhea.licious 23 Jan, 2020 @ 3:06pm
You sure 26 LCCs is enough?
OctoBooze  [author] 23 Jan, 2020 @ 6:19am
Ah I see. Should be even simpler then. Built a mining haul truck similar to yours a while back and found it struggling functionally as the ores tend to despawn before the hold was full :/
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1679027724 build in particular
Eddy 23 Jan, 2020 @ 5:58am
No no, no ejector. Just simply directly dump the rocks them self into a bucket no cargo or anything. Good old physical way ^_^
OctoBooze  [author] 23 Jan, 2020 @ 5:52am
That would be the logical next step. I opted for a simpler approach in order to have higher capacity of cargo but removing the bottom rows of containers and setting the ejectors higher, you could easily modify this to have opening doors! If you do end up modifying, do let me know and if you upload it be sure to point to the original version. Curious to see what you come up with! :)
Eddy 23 Jan, 2020 @ 5:29am
Really cool, man. I wanna take the build a step further and make the belly of the trailer to open when unloading and ditch the cargo containers to do this. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1714235348

Love the build. Keep up the great work!
JustSpiffy 22 Jan, 2020 @ 4:09pm
Hahaha so true
OctoBooze  [author] 22 Jan, 2020 @ 4:08pm
Aye, this game hits me in waves. A week or two of building and then a hiatus lol. You know, once you tap into the flow, it's hard to stop! :)
JustSpiffy 22 Jan, 2020 @ 4:05pm
Dude your on a building strike
