Maybe it only works on the projectile itself, not the plasma beam it generates.

so "Protective Enchantment" - "causes projectiles to no longer damage the caster", does NOT seem to work with the base game's "Plasma Cutter" spell, which is considered by the game to be a projectile spell. Having the prot. ench. modifier right before the plasma cutter spell on a wand, does not stop the plasma cutter spell from hurting me.

"protective Enchantment" definitely does work with some other spells, tho I do not know if the plasma cutter is the only one that it does NOT work with.

@TThor I think the issue with the protective enchant is the high mana cost. If your wand runs out of mana it will still try and cast but wont be able to afford the 30 mana for the modifier.

One of those stupid throwing knives ended one of the best runs Ive had in ages, it somehow did 400 damage to me after falling down a couple pixels after I picked something up when it was already laying on the ground. Dumbest part was an enemy cast the spell

I love this mod and feel like it is essential, but at the same time it feels kinda buggy (or at least behaving unpredictably). For example the protective enchantment in particular, it seems to behave weirdly/inconsistently; using it with a sawblade wand, usually it will protect the sawblades from hurting me, but it seems like randomly it will just *stop* protecting. This type of behavior occurs with some other modifiers too, but the protective enchantment is where it feels most harmful as you rely on knowing whether your spell is going to hurt you or not the next time you cast it.

welp, i just fixed a compatability issue that bugged me with "binding of noita", "IJY_Extra", "Oaken's spells" by going into the mod folder > files > scripts > actions.lua and put a comment around the first 2 spells - which funnily enough are already commennted out, so now it has 2 comments, and im playing happily... xD

I love this mod, most of the spells are really great, but spell merge seems to have a lot of issues. It doesn't seem to work with a lot of spells, and for some reason, if it's in a wand that it doesn't work with, it breaks the whole game, forcing a restart. What I mean, is that if I put it on a wand it doesn't work with, it won't fire, and then none of my wands fire, even if I drop them switch them, or change out all their spells entirely, I am required to restart the game to get anything to work again.

Love the mod but I have a question, does Protective Enchantment work at all with Chaos Magic? Or do you still need Explosion Immunity to not kill yourself using it?

I really don't understand what spell merge does. I pretty much know how wands work and im trying to figure out what its doing using wand debug mod. I literally cant see any difference to the cast state or the actual thing I cast with or without it

What does it *actually* do on a technical level? I literally have no idea what it does

Seems like when you combine Sticky Glob and Monster Tooth (from risk of items) enemies drop ~30 health orbs on kill, which is incredibly overpowered. Would be nice if you patched it.

I love this!
I play with this mod for so long now, I dont even know which are vanilla spells and which not.
My favorite ones are Void Shot and the Sticky Glob with trigger.

The slow projectiles spell modifier that gives double damage is super OP imo. It's just a WAY better heavy shot. I think it's intentional that the devs made any damage ups in the game minimal, or with big drawbacks for use. The mod as a whole package is great though!

Followup from discord, confirmed that the disappearing gui is resolved if the mod files are in noita/mods/spellbound_bundle/.. but not if they're in the workshop directory. Presumably it's lines 20-22 of init.lua specifying "mods/...".

Love the mod so far, But I honestly hate that lucky knife can deal damage to you as well if its in the enviroment I had a great run going on nightmare mode and i died instantly because there was a lucky knife on the ground that for some reason decided to decimate me the moment my foot touched it but that is really the only gripe I can think of concerning this mod since the rest is fantastic.

Btw, in the UI of the "Progress" menu, the last spell "MAGIC MIRROR", shifts a little bit the whole line to the right after it (if we have other mods that add spells, which is my case), screenshot :

This seems to be due to the fact that his sprite is not 16x16 like all the others but 20x20. I don't know anything about modding but I found the file by searching a bit, I resized it to 16x16, and it seems to fix the problem:

I don't know if I'm going to get into Noita's modding, but anyway when I see your great work it makes me want to because it adds so many nice things to the game!

The "Spiral Field" modifier doesn't work as intended. It spawns a bunch of static lights wherever the projectile goes, and they don't despawn. It's quite clunky, can you look into it?

This mod is implemented so well that I didn't even realize what spells it added until I looked it up, and this is after hours and hours of play. Very nice work, all of the spells really feel like they belong in the game.

I got a ton of lag when being polymorphed while holding a wand with the Force Module spell. Not being able to find the player entity caused issues with the script calculating coordinates (in scripts/misc/force_module.lua).

Seems like hold_sword.lua and set_home_on_player.lua might suffer from similar issues with polymorph.

Hey! I have performance issue with this mod's spell(s) and I wonder if this is known. If I have Blade Shot modifier and a projectile bounces off a wall towards me I will get sub 10 fps. Shooting far away from me, no FPS drop. Removing the modifier will remove any FPS drop from happening all together. Would love to hear if this is known issue.

I feel like Blackhole Infusion should be on the list of spells that isn't affected by Unlimited Spells, as original Blackhole isn't either.
Yes, as it is the spell makes it very easy to get into parallel worlds, but I like to keep sense of balance in the game.

Love this mod, it's definitely a must have for me. Adds even more customization to an already crazy in depth game. I think the handful of snarks spell might be acting up though. energetic projectiles turns them into little tactical nukes.
