warning, at least the ADVENT advanced combat training event is completely broken and gives them 100% aim. Applies to MOCX too. I would recommend disabling the event or the whole mod outright.

Ah okay. Thanks. I'm going to have to start a new game then because they are both on. I think I saw some other ones that conflict with EU Aim Rolls, but can't recall which. My mods are now up to 669 :x

You haven't had any issues with the highlander conflict spoke about on the EU Aim Rolls page?

The Alternative Mod Launcher only shows one kind of conflict: mod class overrides.

I know this states it conflicts with EU Aim Rolls, but the alternative mod launcher doesn't show any conflicts. Is it still incompatible with it?

@Grey Star: It turned out that Claus did in fact use custom character groups for his Mutons. I've added them to the check now so they should receive the abilities.

The mod looks at the enemy's character group (whether they are classified as e.g. a Muton), not specific enemies/enemy names. So unless Claus gave them a new character group, the mod should already work with those enemies and other new mods.

That said, I'll check it out when I time have to make sure it works.

I know nothing about your mod list and no, I do not "care to explain". Check the compatibility section and perhaps don't phrase your comments in a demanding tone. Makes people much more willing to help. This isn't a job for me and I owe you nothing, not even if my mod were to wreck your game.

Tbh, Playable Aliens is not a mod that I have on my radar. That said, it shouldn't be much trouble to exclude aliens from that mod (depending on how they're set up). I'll look into it next time I work on updating this mod.

So, this should have been common sense to me, but it didn't dawn on my until my recent mission. These dark events also affect the playable aliens. My Sectoid was able to 100% shot every enemy in the mission with the EW rolls. Again, I should have realized that a dark event affect all sectoids would affect mine as well lol. Still, its a good mod and enjoy having it.

You can configure the minimum and maximum duration of the Dark Events (without Grim Horizon activated).

Hm, well that seems out-of-scope for this mod and without a clear idea of what and why, I don't think I'll pursue this mod idea. Thanks for the suggestions though. Perhaps you could try your hand at it once you have a clearer idea of how that mod should look like? The community is always happy to help newcomers get started.

@bstar Duration would be primary interest. Don't have any specific ideas for Chosen Actions. Just seems they are underpowered and irrelevant. Something to make them more meaningful. Maybe a flavor of Dark Events where Enemy gains an ability or stat change. Or perhaps SitRep that adds to injoury or fatigue post mission.

@Joe Marotta I can make some of the parameters configurable when I have time, sure. Which ones in particular are you interested in? Just the duration? There are currently no plans on my part to change Chosen Actions. What did you have in mind for that?

These additional Dark Events mods are fantastic! Thanks for creating! Please consider making some of the dark event parameters available in config. Permanent Dark Events and even Grim Horizon Lite are challenging with these Dark Events. But perhaps extending the duration would be good. Any thought on making Chosen Actions more meaningful with some improved dark actions?

Have to confirm with whttheshmitty. I hacked a MEC with its relevant dark event active, and it got about doubled its base aim bonus when looking at the aim chance box modifiers.

he aim boost is +15% (not 15 aim), so for example, a 65 aim ADVENT Trooper gets +10 aim at most, making their new aim 75. Yes, that is a significant boost but it needs to be or you could just ignore the Dark Event. However, there is no way normal enemies are getting 90% aim against your soldiers in cover (unless they ignore cover or there is a bug ).

Also, as mentioned in the description of the mod, you can easily adjust all values to your liking.

I love the idea of this mod, but I had to uninstall it. For some reason as soon as I got the dark event to boost advents aim, full cover and half cover literally had to meaning to these enemies. Every time these guys would shoot at one of my men no matter the height or distance it was 90+% or higher through full cover. I can't play like that especially with so many hard enemies from ABA ect.

Chryssalids don't have 100% chance to hit, so they profit from aim. Also, there are Chryssalids in mods like The Hive that are very different from the vanilla ones. That's it. If you don't like it, feel free to edit the config files.

What's the point of giving Chryssalids an aim post. Melee weapons already have a low chance of missing and no Xcom player worth their salt is going to have Templars and Rangers without Hellweave vests and Bladestorm.

I haven't tested it but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Looking through the code, it seems to cycle through all active Dark Events, not a defined list. Would be great if you could test and let me know in case it doesn't work.
