I'm also reflex challenged and wasn't able to complete the 1st room w/o noclip. :steamsad:
I was however, able to complete the 2nd room after several missteps.

@Mikeastro I will definitely be playing a few of your other levels. This one just wasn't for me. I prefer some puzzles that I can have a cup of morning coffee with. A bit of depth into it, but practical. Precision often requires practice and I just don't have that sort of time.
Mikeastro  [author] 29 Sep, 2024 @ 5:51am
@gmaster2400 I don't think that it is too difficult to execute, but we all have our limits, no worries! Thanks for playing regardless, I hope that you will give some of the other entries in the series a go :cozycrashfish:

Anything with extreme timing is something I immediately throw out the window. The portal catapult to launch yourself on the platform is one of these. The solution is simple, but the execution feels like a hamster on a wheel. I don't classify these sort of concepts as puzzles. Extending the distance of the drop could have made this more reasonable to execute. Just not my cup of tea.
Dopetob 31 Aug, 2024 @ 1:08pm
creator not creature
Dopetob 31 Aug, 2024 @ 1:07pm
Yeah grabbing the respawning cube I often roadblock myself with professional level into thinkthing that there's no way that the creature won't do ninja moves or do red herrings.
Mikeastro  [author] 30 Aug, 2024 @ 3:36am
Thanks for playing everyone! Glad you all enjoyed it too :]
@Dopetob I'm not sure what subtle ninja move you needed in the second room, it should be all easy and clean logic. Perhaps you mean grabbing the respawned cube?
Dopetob 29 Aug, 2024 @ 10:13pm
Like a bit of no element I was surprised at the subtle ninja move you gotta do in the second puzzle.
tslayer 15 May, 2024 @ 9:09am
I was stuck for a bit in the second part but I could thankfully beat it
sillymel 29 Mar, 2024 @ 12:57pm
Good map! The first chamber took me quite a few tries to execute, and the second chamber took me longer than I care to admit to figure out. (I had convinced myself that there wouldn't be enough time to run and grab the cube before it fell into the goo after spawning it, so I was trying to place the light bridge directly under the cube spawner when doing the sacrifice.)

I was going to give execution tips for the first chamber, but I see "[ssc] Fishy" already did so on page 8 of the comments.
Melody 23 Oct, 2023 @ 12:51pm
Not sure how to do that last puzzle. But really well made regardless
CapeMan 2 Aug, 2023 @ 1:22pm
Great chamber! I'm playing these chambers to start solving some more difficult puzzles, and the first puzzle had me stumped for a while, but the satisfaction from figuring out the solution gave me the boost necessary to solve the second, honestly a bit easier puzzle!
DanceDown 12 Jan, 2023 @ 10:12am
Enjoyable! I mean, I just played all parts of "no elements" so the first part was pretty easy for me and the second part of the test ist just easy in general; still it's clean and makes good use of the elements, I like it
aa 3 Nov, 2022 @ 11:09am
level 1 is very hard for me cause i basically have the reflexes of a potato
dscflyboy1 11 Aug, 2022 @ 6:51pm
Ok, all in all it's a neat puzzle. I'm just not sure how on earth I was supposed to figure this stuff out
dscflyboy1 11 Aug, 2022 @ 6:41pm
Wait, never mind. Instead of doing the reasonable thing you'd think to do, you actually do a completely different thing! Hint: You can enter the sloped portal. Use this instead of endless falling.
dscflyboy1 11 Aug, 2022 @ 6:36pm
This is a great test chamber! (if you're testing twitch reflexes)
doctor of sex and physics 7 Jul, 2022 @ 4:45am
Really innovative chamber, good work :3
Andy T 4 Jul, 2022 @ 10:12pm
I knew how to solve first room but there's a problem, it needed twitchy reflex to pull off, since the most I can do is coming out last popping facing up and disoriented after so many tries, I just noclip the first room.
SpielSatzFail 15 May, 2022 @ 2:27pm
This one already got me stuck for a few minutes ^^ (at the light bridge puzzle)
Nice simple No Elements part in the beginning.
StackSmasher789 21 Apr, 2022 @ 5:06am
The first fling is annoying. Nice puzzle though
SaSSolino 11 Apr, 2022 @ 6:29am
Very simple yet tricky chamber!
LM 3 Apr, 2022 @ 2:52pm
In the last room, I found an unintended solution in which you stand on the fizzler button, holding the cube, and fling it past where the fizzler would be, then just walk through, place it on the door button, and exit. Regardless of that, I had a good time with the chamber as a whole, keep up the good work! :D
moisole 20 Mar, 2022 @ 5:43pm
I can't really do the fling thing at the start. One thing is that it's hard to place the portals correctly as the surfaces are too big and they aren't "guided", and any small angle variation ends up compounding.

Also, I don't know about the physics of shooting portals mid air. It has happened to me a lot that I hit the launch surface just as I miss the portal and hit the floor, losing all momentum and making the "yes, I hit it!" moment totally useless...
Mikeastro  [author] 30 Jan, 2022 @ 5:10am
@realbeing2453tyhr Thanks for playing! If you don't like the kind of moves required for this first puzzle, you will probably enjoy this whole series with the exception of #1 and #5.
I said it was easy in the description because I could pull it off many times in a row without failure, and I am not typically good at "ninja tests". I don't see why a move that is harder than anything in the, let's face it, very straightforward campaign would necessarily be bullshit. It might be tricky if you have never seen or done it before but I would not personally use any stronger terms.
Lasse Hölderlin 30 Jan, 2022 @ 3:38am
"Executing the solution should be easy", it is no, you did say that you recognize it to be "tricky", it is certainly a sly move and harder than any ever used in the Portla 2 campaing, thus it cannot be used in any puzzle ever without making it bullshit. Like LB would say, puzzles do no require sly moves, and certainly we come here for puzzles no for ninja tests.
Red Minerals 10 Jan, 2022 @ 1:39pm
Sorry idk much about stream commenting, but I saw the idea of the bridge through the fizzler on your video and thought it was smart so I made a fizzler, a bridge, and the same start. Im glad they arent exactly the same so im not called out for copying. I only layed out the basis. Its crazy how they are so similar!
Mikeastro  [author] 10 Jan, 2022 @ 10:10am
@Red Minerals Thanks! Glad you liked it. Were you inspired by my video in which I made the second puzzle in this map?
Red Minerals 10 Jan, 2022 @ 8:42am
The second part is very similar to my new chamber 'Navigation.' Nice job!
Sloi 6 Dec, 2021 @ 7:41pm
That first part is way too tight (tolerance wise), and I write this as someone who generally loves "No Element" maps.
Talisac 4 Feb, 2021 @ 11:06am
Cool little test, very easy
Mikeastro  [author] 28 Dec, 2020 @ 3:54am
@stepexausdertube Haha thank you! I hope you will enjoy the rest of the series as well :]
@GraveNoX Thanks a lot for all your videos! I still have to find the time to watch them, but I'm looking forward to doing so already :cozycrashfish:
positive_epsilon 28 Dec, 2020 @ 2:50am
The second room was brutal. I like it
GraveNoX 16 Dec, 2020 @ 2:30pm
Enjoyed it. My long blind run https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFml-xb-7TM
Mikeastro  [author] 15 Oct, 2020 @ 2:41pm
@Muzozavr I agree that the first fling is a little tricy to execute - but fear not, almost all the other puzzles in the series require nothing but pure thinking. I hope you will enjoy them :D
Muzozavr 15 Oct, 2020 @ 2:16pm
First fling is a bit tricky to do since there's not much time to reorient yourself. Second room is pretty cool, was stuck on the ending for way longer than I should've been. :P
Lepo 11 Jul, 2020 @ 7:19am
I hate so much jumping mechanics.
Mikeastro  [author] 29 Jun, 2020 @ 10:34am
@lfairban Thank you very much! I hope you will enjoy the rest of the series as well :]
lfairban 29 Jun, 2020 @ 8:26am
Great logic test. Took me a while.
Mikeastro  [author] 23 May, 2020 @ 12:47pm
@Body Massage Thank you very much for playing! If you like puzzles that will make you pause to think about the solution, I think you'll enjoy many maps in my workshop :]
Body Massage 23 May, 2020 @ 11:39am
The first room was brilliant and certainly not a mechanic I'd seen before. Well done. The second room was pretty straight forward. I typically judge chambers based on whether they gave me pause to think about the solution. Thumbs up for the first room for sure.
Mikeastro  [author] 5 May, 2020 @ 3:20pm
@jhead Thank you :D I'm glad you pulled it off first try. Some people experienced some difficulties with it
jhead 5 May, 2020 @ 12:54pm
That fling was GENIUS. When I figured out what to do (before actually trying it), I just found myself going, "There's no way this is going to work", but lo and behold it worked perfectly on the first try.
Mikeastro  [author] 13 Apr, 2020 @ 6:12am
@JimmyABL Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it in the end, even though it required a little bit of dexterity :]
JimmyABL 12 Apr, 2020 @ 7:52pm
I also thought i over complicate the first solution, but turns out to be intended haha. honestly I really liked the concept and the really hard part was getting onto the ledge, otherwise i enjoyed it!
_galaxy 11 Apr, 2020 @ 2:54pm
lool I overly complicated it a bit. My solution made me shoot a portal to the white platform while I was in the air. My bad hehe
Mikeastro  [author] 11 Apr, 2020 @ 2:47pm
@_galaxy You can watch the playthrough linked in the description to see a solution that is quite easy to execute. I personally wouldn't consider those moves as requiring ''mouse reflexes''. Together with the puzzles in #5, the first room in this map is among the very few in this series requiring any form of mild dexterity, so if you don't like that, it is still safe to check out the rest of the maps :]
