thx for the replay
if i play lt like new game and no scenario or change something in the file i can fix it ?
Glad you are enjoying the scenario! I decided to make certain civs into city states rather than full civs firstly because city states are so important to Civ 6 game-play that I needed some and secondly so that I would reduce the workload needed to make this scenario (city states being much easier to make). As for where to draw the line between which nations got to be full civs and which just city states, it was a combination of factors, including military strength, economic strength, population, diplomatic importance, and variety. There are definitely some edge cases that could be argued either way, but decisions had to be made.
Glad you are enjoying the scenario! To answer your question, there are no plans for further updates to this scenario or for newer versions for Civ 6. If Civ 7 is ever updated to support scenarios, I may create a version of this mod for it.
The Golden Gate Bridge was released after the world builder stopped supporting wonder placement. You'll notice that there are no new wonders on the map, only base game. For some reason the world builder stopped being able to place wonders after a certain patch.
Sorry for the late reply, but I do not think there is an option for team play compatible with this scenario.
See the "Multiplayer" section in the description above. You need another mod to be able to play multiplayer with the number of civs that this mod uses. By default the number of civs in multiplayer is capped at a much lower level than I used in this scenario. This also means that there is a possibility that it still won't work even if you get that mod running, due to stability issues, but if you have a good rig you should be able to play this scenario multiplayer in both hot seat and online.
although i ask myself why certain civs are city states while they could have been real civs ( for example spain , greece , colombia , sweden)
Hello there, absolutely love the Earth 2018 and 2020 mods. Just a question, can we expect to receive any future mods? Are more on the waiting list while leaders shift in and out of office, or is there perhaps a satisfaction with the current mods that exist?
Yes, this mod removes city razing. The reason is because it also removes settlers, so allowing city razing could create a death spiral that empties the map. The reason settlers were removed is because allowing settlers allows Russia, Canada, and Australia to become unrealistically powerful, since they have a lot of empty territory that IRL is not of much use but in game could be very useful.
Make sure Earth 2020 and Earth 2020 Civs are not both active at the same time. Sometimes having both active will cause a conflict, because the mods are structured differently. The mods *should* disable each other from editing the database, but sometimes they don't and this causes a problem due to conflicting edits.
Glad to hear you are enjoying the scenario! With regards to your question, it would be quite difficult to edit the map to combine the European states into an EU civ. The reason I did not do this myself is because while the Europeans frequently cooperate, they also still sometimes disagree and go their own way, so I didn't think it made sense to consider them a single faction. If you need to move troops through the city states in Europe, make sure to adopt the Gunboat Diplomacy Policy Card, which gives access through all city states. I always adopt that card whenever I play Civ 6, so I didn't even think about the difficulties of moving through city states otherwise.
I wonder how easy of a change that would be to implement and do myself, I havent tried modding before though. Alternatively having the usa start as suzerain of the european city states (cause they rely on the usa for protection in the real world) would also solve this problem.
If I remember correctly, the functionality to place wonders on the map with the world builder was removed after I made this map. I think there are in fact a few wonders that were added later that I wanted to add to the map that I couldn't.
It should auto-install when you hit subscribe. If it doesn't, you can download from the direct link and manually place the mod in your mods folder.
Maybe. Whether I do or not will depend on how easy it is to mod Civ 7 and how much free time I have. I will say that while the modding tools have improved since I began modding Civ with Civ 4, creating these scenarios has actually gotten more complex and time consuming, since the game rules, civilizations, and graphics have become more complicated.

2. Special buildings cannot be built in the city center. Construction does not exist (but what already exists works).
3. An error occurs when adding Wonders as a mod.
4. It would be nice if a regular game mode was released in Freeplay in 2020.
I ran it through Google Translator.
The short answer is no. The long answer is that it is possible for you to create your own custom maps using the map editor and this mod, but that takes a lot of work and a familiarity with modding.
Spain is present as a city-state but not playable. A line had to be drawn somewhere, it was not feasible to include every nation as a playable civ.
Glad to hear that you are enjoying the mod! Sorry to hear that the audio isn't working for that unit, I'll try to remember to look into that and see if there's an easy fix.
Apologies for the delayed reply, I was very busy at the end of last year. Feel free to DM me, I'd be willing to help out with this.
Is there a way to limite the number of civilisations in huge map scenario (to 11-13 max) ? Indeed, I do not like putting civilisations such as Canada, Niger, ... and would like to replace them by city-states instead
Collaboration for a 2023 version. I’ll create the leader art and implement unit models
About what?
Thanks! Glad you like it!
I'm not sure how easy this would be to do, but I'll look into it.
It sounds like you got it to work, but I'll check and see if I can fix this on my end as well.
Glad you are enjoying the mod. In my opinion settlers would be game breaking, as they would allow empty countries (like Canada, Russia, Brazil, and Australia) to grow far beyond where they should be relative to their IRL counterparts. But if you want to add settlers to your game, it's actually a fairly easy edit: find the file "E18_Units.xml" in the mod folder, open it with a text editor, search for the settler entry and where it says <CanTrain>false</CanTrain> change this from false to true. As with all file editing, I suggest you save a back-up copy before you edit.
