Awesome mod! Feels a bit like those toss launcher games from Newgrounds.

Is the handling better in my mod Scramble? I made it bump to the music less in that.

The less the music affects the track, the less it feels like the track is actually making a difference to gameplay - that would be my only concern.

If anyone wants to try some experimental versions of this (and some other experimental stuff like Pinball), let me know and add me to Friends.

Agree with Gatan45, just a hair too slow, and it felt like I was on a boat sailing in the wind. For example, the ball feels too slow to catch up to a platform to the left, so your best bet is basically to leap of faith it to the right and hope a spring comes along to keep you aloft. It would also be helpful to increase the object generation rate a tad as well, I had to play an almost insane song to get a good amount to show up.

I think you've got a great idea here. I'd recommend making the little ball move faster and also makingthe track premanently flat if at all possible. I was finding the sporatic movement of the track was throwing me off and the slowness of the ball was really messing me up. If you changed those two things i think this would be a fantastic mod!

Hey ShatteredOmega, I actually kinda figgured that after I got back to the game for another attempt at finding out how to, seeing a spring at the bottom, but thank you for your help anyway. P.S. I love your work! :)
Coconaut  [author] 13 Mar, 2014 @ 4:58pm
Hey MysterySteve, you need to wait for a spring on the bottom to appear - no need to jump. It should be 1 in 4 springs appearing on the bottom but if it's a quiet start it might be a little while before one appears.

I can't figure out how to jump to get on the springs. someone please help.

Yeah there was like 20 in air for it to finally get a bottom one and it made me confused until I hit it.
Coconaut  [author] 18 Jan, 2014 @ 12:18am
In theory every 3rd-4th should be a bottom spring but if the song's not generating many it can take a while for first launch.
jgDarkWolf 17 Jan, 2014 @ 10:41pm
nvm it was just the song it took a while for the bottom springs to show up
jgDarkWolf 17 Jan, 2014 @ 3:16pm
it wont jump .-. it only will move left or right

Innovative indeed. Added to Mods of Innovation.

Great mod, it's original, fun and relaxing at the same time :)

@globalenemy:
You're right about the webs of course.. they do have the effect of keeping you up when you might not have an alternative. I'll see about modifying that in the description.

I'm certainly not the best skinmaker, so if anyone is bored and wants to jump in and adapt or create one I'd be grateful and happy to add it to the mod :)
globalenemy 6 Dec, 2013 @ 4:22pm
there could be some feedback when you hit a bounce. plus: avoid the webs? theese things can be damn usefull in some tracks! :D
globalenemy 6 Dec, 2013 @ 4:12pm
Awesome mod! I was so much waiting for a mod like this, since the release of audiosprint. The skin could be better though. but allready epic!

@ShatteredOmega: Yup. I think increasing the gravity would make the ball bouncing more realistic and would make it more of a challenge. The spring power is fine imo.. but its your mod so I'll let you adjust everything how you want it
Coconaut  [author] 5 Dec, 2013 @ 5:10pm
@Nurse Dashie: You mean up/down speed i.e. increased springpower and gravity?
Sherbet 5 Dec, 2013 @ 5:05pm
This is pretty cool! I think it would be more of a challenge if the ball moved a bit faster..
Coconaut  [author] 5 Dec, 2013 @ 3:07pm
Thanks for the comments all, it's much appreciated.

@tgr: I think I had a "smooth" version at some point - I'll see if I can get this working again, especially if others are also looking for this. I just wasn't sure if there was enough reacting to the music in the smooth version to make it feel like Audiosurf, but we'll see.

@La maison: Good ideas. I definitely want to do more with the side-scrolling, and pinball crossed my mind when I made the silver ball thing.
skzk 5 Dec, 2013 @ 6:22am
Huh. Interesting. I think it would be better without the track moving around like in a vehicle mod.
guyjim 5 Dec, 2013 @ 4:15am
Nice originality. I like it :)
