Man, I really really like using your modular ship sections to build some frankenstein ships of my own.
Though the ones that i built were technically... well... not that great, but it was fun building, kind of like piecing together lego parts to make something.
Im new to this game, and i barely know how to scale ships up or down, or even use torpedoes or carrier modules, but i intend to find out by using these modules and flying around in patchwork ships.

This is not meant to be used alone. This spine can be covered in mods that have their own integrity fields. The optimal place to put the fields is also the optimal place to put the cargo containers, so one had to go for the other. but these are not meant to be used lone.

They are also large enough that if you combine them and shrink this down to 1:4 scale, you'l still maintain a small amount of cargo capacity.

Furthermore, I'd like to push back on the "its basically unusable" comment as few builders ever bother with using integrity fields at all...

"It’s designed to maximize Cargo capacity." - If you want to maximize the Cargo capacity you need minimize Sepration of your cargo Hold while overlapping as much as possibile. Some goes for Generator Blocks. The idea of a modular design is that you can just plug the things together and then use them - if the modul is not covored by integrity fields it is basically unusuable unless you modify it.
