safe to add mid-save?
Kontaro 6 nov 2022 om 15:01
yeah, this was their latest patchnote Fixed the surgery failures code
Kontaro 6 nov 2022 om 15:01
might have been something on the other mod's end, they posted a fix yesterday or something that fixed some bad results from happening or something
swwu  [auteur] 6 nov 2022 om 13:58
@Kontaro that's strange, the mod is XML-only, so it should be compatible with most things. I went back and cleaned out some redundant flags in the XML that were there from the 1.1 days, so it might work better now?
Unfortunately it's hard to say exactly what's broken because of how the patching in Less Arbitrary Surgery works.
Kontaro 4 nov 2022 om 16:22
ok, removed 'less arbitrary surgery' and tried again, acidifier went off and killed the pawn due to failure, but it did SOMETHING...so must be a compability error between this mod and that
Kontaro 4 nov 2022 om 16:15
so, just got this since it's the 1.4 version, anyone else having the surgery...well, succeed, yet no acidifier gets taken out, and the operation is still there... is my doctor just failing to remove it so tries again? or a bug?

Thank you

Okay, so it seems that this Mod no longer works in V1.3 .
TurtleShroom 21 jul 2021 om 10:06
I can confirm that this Mod works in V1.2 . I am waiting on V1.3 for a week or so to see if my Mods are updated by then.

Found the issue, you have an issue with your Surgery Def, I uploaded a fixed and updated version for anyone who's interested:

If you want me to take it down, I will.

Not sure if it is a compatibility thing or if it is on your end, but every time I attempt the surgery, regardless of the outcome, I get a death acidifier.

@megabot this mod is just a few tiny XML patches, so it _shouldn't_ interfere with (or even interact with) hugslib in any way--it's possible it's conflicting with something else in your load order? Mechathrumbos aren't vanilla so it's possible it has a conflict with whatever mod adds those. Does it work when starting a new game?
megabot 23 mei 2020 om 6:45
also, it prevents huggslib from uploading hte logs, so i think that's where the problem lies
megabot 23 mei 2020 om 6:30
ok, I have NO FUCKING clue _why_, but adding this mod midgame causes a...serious issue. namely, for some reason, 70 mechathrumbos appeared on my map, hostile. they did not attack, but they were deemed hostile. I have no clue why this is that way
NECEROS 31 mrt 2020 om 0:50
brilliant
Remie 25 mrt 2020 om 19:11
Honestly not sure why this isn't in vanilla.

I don't particularly care about their equipment, but it feels like an insult when I can't even butcher Imperial troops for their sweet, sweet human leather, flesh and bones. It's like they're snubbing me, or something.
Wolfguarde 12 mrt 2020 om 7:56
Any chance of adding a blanket disable for death acidifiers spawning on pawns?
(Or is there already another mod that does this?)
5katz 9 mrt 2020 om 10:29
could you also make a mod to remove biocoded weapons? ether completely remove it or something on a worktable to remove it with a skilled crafter
BirdOfPray 8 mrt 2020 om 11:06
you don't have to justify it, you're already a hero :47_thumb_up:
Victorraze 7 mrt 2020 om 17:15
Seems like this needed to be vanilla already in my opinion, so thanks for the mod. So does (or can if not already in the mod) on surgery fail, regardless if it kills the pawn or not trigger the acidifier? And if so can it also cause damage to the hands of the pawn doing the surgery? It'd be another good way to balance the mod out to a degree.
