beautiful water, beautiful mod
nathanielcwm  [author] 8 Nov, 2023 @ 11:39am
It's so simple that I see no reason why it wouldn't. Unless you had mods that added new water types.
gar3bear 8 Nov, 2023 @ 6:57am
is this or the og mod working in 2023?
Leo Atreides 5 Nov, 2022 @ 10:36am
Chill. You are creating content for free for all of us, and people who are afraid of errors really should just not use mods.
CrunchyDuck 19 Oct, 2022 @ 12:38pm
Original mod author here.
First, it works on 1.4
Second, I'd like to thank Nathan for taking up the mantle of maintaining this, however small or large that task may have been.
And third, I'd like to apologize for having a bit of a mental break of my own in the past. If my false updates in the past affected anyone's saves, I'm deeply sorry.
Have a good one.

turrets can also fill you with a sense of security and comfort, it's a to each their own situation, same thing with anything.
Part of why I find beauty being numerically calculated strange
Kokorocodon 2 Jul, 2022 @ 1:54am
turrets can look off-puting and unnerving since they remind you of survival and peril
Erredan 9 Nov, 2021 @ 4:26am
need mod for make turrets not so ugly (-20 is odd)

for some reason i always just assumed rimworld water is polluted and stinky, grabbing this mod anyways because why not give my colonists a treat
nathanielcwm  [author] 11 Jun, 2021 @ 11:04am
*i meant specifically for the water beauty values. I believe having both in at the same time wouldn't affect the other modifications like tree and flower beauty.

Since both mods are so simple I don't believe that there should be any issues running them together besides the possibility of beautiful outdoors completely overriding this mod entirely .
nathanielcwm  [author] 11 Jun, 2021 @ 10:57am
Not sure, this is very simple and simply overwrites the vanilla beauty values of water tho.

Having a quick look at beautiful outdoors it appears to be very similar.

It does however also appear to patch the water values so I believe that if you ran both at the same time only the one closer to the bottom of your mod list would take effect.
TimberLoaf 11 Jun, 2021 @ 7:40am
is this compatible with beautiful outdoors? how do they interact?
nathanielcwm  [author] 8 Jan, 2021 @ 12:43am
I'm using Hospitality alongside this mod and I don't seem to be having any issues.

I have noticed that it is listed on the incompatibility list though.
Leoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 3 Jan, 2021 @ 2:30pm
Hospitality lists this mod as incompatible. Is there any future possibility of compatibility between this mod and Hospitality? Thanks for mod!

I mean it's such a minor change that it probably wouldn't take more than 30 minutes for Tynan to put this in vanilla.

I seriously still don't get why the number of favourites is higher than the number of likes lol.
DAOWAce 12 Sep, 2020 @ 10:59pm
Water still isn't beautiful in 1.2?

Tynan, c'mon..
[The] Force 19 Aug, 2020 @ 6:08pm
Agreed on the complexity thing. Personally, I wouldn't bother unless you wanted to practice coding in options as it wouldn't be the end of the world if it buggered this somehow xD

At least, I don't think it would be :O
nathanielcwm  [author] 17 Aug, 2020 @ 8:58pm
Well swamp beauty values are already coded into the base game and the original mod didn't touch them. This mod also doesn't touch swamp beauty values.
Videogameplayer 16 Aug, 2020 @ 9:36am
I think mod options would be great. At the same time they're not strictly necessary and having options would be like icing. I agree open moving water is very pretty so I agree with the numbers. The most likely thing of contention is how attractive/unattractive swamps should be.
nathanielcwm  [author] 16 Aug, 2020 @ 3:11am
Well it would add a lot of complexity to an otherwise very simple mod lol.
Yeah it seemed to be working fine on my system too. It only adds beauty values to the different types of water so I wouldn't expect it to break without major changes to Rimworld, like new types of water?
[The] Force 15 Aug, 2020 @ 5:23pm
Doesn't break anything, *looks* to work fine. If a settings menu isn't too difficulty I'd say do it just to give people the option, cause obviously some people might think it's *more* beautiful (ya know, those outdoors people *shiver*) or what not.
nathanielcwm  [author] 14 Aug, 2020 @ 10:46pm
Also out of curiosity how many of you guys would actually like a settings menu for the mod?
nathanielcwm  [author] 14 Aug, 2020 @ 9:55am
Hopefully it doesn't.

Tell me the results.
[The] Force 13 Aug, 2020 @ 5:07pm
Alright, putting this in let's see if it breaks 1.2 xD
nathanielcwm  [author] 25 Jul, 2020 @ 1:24am
sure
Blaazouille 21 Jul, 2020 @ 1:14pm
Could you fix your ModMetadata tag to ModMeta D ata please ? Good mod nonetheless :)
xtreampb 3 Jul, 2020 @ 10:40am
@nathanielcwm, perhaps make a PR into the original if it is indeed fixed.
nathanielcwm  [author] 19 Jun, 2020 @ 7:30am
It shouldn't touch the saves.
Moogle 16 Jun, 2020 @ 6:38am
save game compat?
nathanielcwm  [author] 16 May, 2020 @ 1:29am
@CrunchyDuck np but you should probably remove the 1.1 tag since it breaks 1.1 games.
nathanielcwm  [author] 16 May, 2020 @ 1:28am
Doesn't it already do that without any mods?
CrunchyDuck 13 May, 2020 @ 6:18am
Hey there! Thanks for maintaining my mod. This was the one I was most worried about leaving behind (Because of how obscenely popular it became), so I'm glad it'll live on it some small way.
nathanielcwm  [author] 7 May, 2020 @ 6:00pm
It would be great if you guys liked the mod.

The number of likes is lower than the number of favourites :steamfacepalm:
whirleaf 6 May, 2020 @ 3:15am
Thanks so much for fixing this, these errors have been driving me mad.
Videogameplayer 15 Apr, 2020 @ 3:19am
Kind of you to fix this and to share it with us folks. Fistbump*
Vincente Steele 29 Mar, 2020 @ 3:48pm
Many thanks. I was bummed about not being able to use the original despite it claiming to be updated.
Kevinmevin7 29 Mar, 2020 @ 11:39am
thanks man
Mistletoe The Bard 29 Mar, 2020 @ 7:06am
@nathanielcwm The original version stated version 1.1 and 1.0, so I just assumed it worked. Thanks for your work!
nathanielcwm  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 4:16am
The original version is broken on 1.1
Mistletoe The Bard 29 Mar, 2020 @ 4:08am
Why do you make a fork version for the mod?
