Everything works. This civilization is similar to the Mongols. The unique unit is similar to Keshiks but better because they ignore terrain costs like Scouts. It's more powerful than all unique units in the base game.
The Yaranga is a fun building because it makes tundra viable for settlement. It doesn't just affect naked tundra, so if you find a location with forested tundra, furs, and so on, it can become an excellent city.
The UA allows units to attack and then withdraw. It adds some tactical versatility, especially for ranged units, since foot soldiers cannot catch up to them on flat ground.
Grade: B+. The only downside of this civ, design-wise, is that Siberian Tatars are too powerful in my opinion.

@voice of reason whoa there, don't sell Sibir short in the CBR. They're growing well and becoming a superpower on the main continent, while the Inuit are sleeping away with half their navy stuck in the arctic and their borders overrun with Blackfoot and Brazilian troops

Wow, that Siberian Tatar sounds like an amazing unit, up there with the Keshik, completely makes the civ and turns it into a powerhouse dominator mid-game I would assume. Thw ignoring terrain cost is probably my favorite part of it. Even if you're not at war, now you have a faster scout that can defend itself fairly well, haha.

As other people have mentioned, this is a very strong civ. Although I didn't get horses on my first test of this civ, the super-granary is a discount tundra Petra. No matter what victory path you're going for, it makes the game a whole lot easier, especially with Dance of the Aurora or tundra hills. The UA is also amazing for combat, especially when you have mods improving ranged units. The Siberians are very strong, and it's a wonder they didn't outcompete the Inuit in the CBR.

Loved this mod. Not O.P. No additional stuff, just diffrent stuff that does slightly diffrent things. Awesome.

The music alone makes this a mod worth getting. I frequently use them as an AI to play against and linger on their leader screen, just so I can hear it. Excellent job with the music selection. I haven't even played as them yet, but just the music makes me glad I have them.

@zukenft

Almost OP? Not quite. It is kind of broken. In fact once I realized the additional food from tundras, I expanded south as much as possible to make bank on it. I noticed it still affected forested tundra tiles, making those tiles about as strong as Petra improved desert hills. An end game lumber milled tundra tile with the UB next to a river by midgame gave 2 Food 3 Production, being quite the powerhouse, considering all I did was build a granary, which also benefits from the other food resources around, like deer which is abundant near tundra. The UU is essentially a Keshik, but slightly better. The Unique Ability was nice, but I found myself not utilizing it too much for melee units. But Ranged units, like archers and composite bowmen are broken with it. Hitting enemies at the zenith of your range and falling back to safe havens every times was really fun.

super keshiks and super granary...it's almost OP

@SovietTurtles - yes. However like other civs with a tundra start bias it may end up starting in other terrains if there is another tundra civ in the game.
SovietTurtles 25 Feb, 2014 @ 6:01pm
Is the start bias tundra?

The only mod that will allow me to start a game is the ingame editer mod. ive tried everything. i uninstalled and reinstalled steam, i unsubscribe, clear the cache, nothing works! Up until recently i have not had any problems using mods. Someone please help me!!

All of your Civs look great! I've actually subscribed to all of them, but I was wondering if maybe you could make a Civilizations pack with all of them in one mod? I've gotten so many mods now, that it is becoming difficult to keep them in order.

Again, you've done great work, love these mods.

FINALLY~ A civ that can use the tundra to it's advantage. I'm sick and tired of there being this big, empty swath of useless cluttering up the map. I'll be giving this a try as soon as I can.
