@Simbolic, I just used the model.
Simbolic 3. jan. 2023 kl. 13:50
You the same person who made the game? or just used the model from that game?

Thanks, I'll check them out. : )

@KingJion, you should check out torchmodders.com
There is a lot of modding knowledge in the forum archives and they have a discord.
I'm active on the discord. It's a pretty friendly community.

Hey, great mod ya got here. If you've at all made video tutorial on how you were able to make this skin or are able to give a quick rundown of how to go about making something like this I wouldn't mind learning your ways. I'm interested in making my own mesh mods for this game and any info would be appreciated.
Salvo1 3. nov. 2020 kl. 10:30
I like this mod, it's great, and sometimes I use it, but FYI for users: if you're having crash problems while using it with other mods, especially when creating a New Character, this mod is probably the culprit.

Try moving it around in the load order to see if it fixes the crash, or maybe even just temporarily deactivate it.

That said, kudos to the author for putting so much effort into this. It looks and feels great to play, and it's obviously a labor of love. I don't even watch Adventure Time and I really like this mod. Enough to where I can't particularly complain about the errors and crashes.

The fact that it was even possible to do this within the Torchlight 2 Engine alone is amazing.

How to report mistakes when creating characters?
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 30. juli 2020 kl. 17:02
@Csumbi Doing any 3d model manipulation is complicated. Even if you are using the existing skeletons. For this mod the skeleton is not the same size and so the same animations would not work. I use Blender 3D and the plug-ins to get Ogre3d format models into and out of Blender are a bit rough around the edges. I ended up writing a set of tools in c# to do a lot of cleanup after exporting (available on github). The process to make new animations that work on the new skeleton that look like the original animations is pretty involved and very time consuming as well. Adding armor pieces would add another layer of complexity.

Originally I was planning on expanding this mod with additional playable characters, but I'm not sure I want to dedicate that amount of time. Pets are easier because there are only a few animations and no armor.

I have thought about making a video tutorial so if someone is really motivated they could make their own custom playable model.
Csumbi 28. juli 2020 kl. 3:45
why arent there more mods like this? what i mean, mods that change the character mesh completely. Is it extremely complicated to change the meshes in this game? or is it because of the armor pieces?

...wait why am I here then? :steamfacepalm:
(42o)Sage 16. juli 2020 kl. 0:15
Oh I get it, "Most popular" by visiting but not downloading... looks like your thumbnail + virgins = people clicking on it just to check it out LOL :steammocking:
(42o)Sage 16. juli 2020 kl. 0:12
That's not what I was saying... at all... Algorithm probably messed it up, figured if a mod about changing the way characters look was "most popular" then this game lost all hope for what little player base it has but since you mention there are actually more popular mods than yours, Algorithm must be most popular of a week ago or something, even though it doesn't say that and no I didn't uninstalled the game, it was an expression
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2020 kl. 8:59
@(42o)Sage : I think the algorithm for "most popular" must take how long the mod has been available into account. My mod is nowhere near as popular as say Torchlight Essentials. Just look at the subscriber count. I don't see why other people liking my mod makes you want to uninstall the game though. Just install what you like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(42o)Sage 15. juli 2020 kl. 1:10
...btw, no offence to the creator of this mod, it's just being the most popular is ridiculous.
(42o)Sage 15. juli 2020 kl. 1:09
This is considered the most popular mod on here... im done... uninstalled... worthless game now, I'm sure the 3rd game will be the same junk... fml :steamsad:

I just finished out the Adventurer class skill tree using vanilla skills in an attempt to solve the crashing when starting a new game.

Oh, alright. Well, I hope you get it figured out because I was really looking forward to using the mod. I'll keep subscribed. Looking forward to trying it!
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 30. juni 2020 kl. 12:31
@PureRok, those bone assignment warnings are not part of my mod. I don't use that mesh. Those warnings are pretty harmless. The engine will ignore the extra bone weights.
PureRok 30. juni 2020 kl. 3:17
Game crashes on when trying to start a new game. In the Ogre.log file I see a bunch of warnings for various meshes, such as: "WARNING: the mesh 'MEDIA/WARDROBE/_LVLS1_10/CLOTH_A/HUF_CLOTH_A.MESH' includes vertices with more than 4 bone assignments. The lowest weighted assignments beyond this limit have been removed, so your animation may look slightly different. To eliminate this, reduce the number of bone assignments per vertex on your mesh to 4."
MuMu 20. juni 2020 kl. 16:11
the game crashes when launched does anyone have any ideas how to fix?
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 20. juni 2020 kl. 11:20
I'll add some tags in the next release. I may have a way to reduce the file size. I've also started work on adding BMO as a pet. It will be a while though. All of my free time is currently taken up with AWS training.
Misha 16. juni 2020 kl. 21:53
You should add tags to this mod so people can find it
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2020 kl. 9:42
For people not seeing the new model at all, you are launching the game using the lower button with the gear symbol on it right?

Please tell me how to use this. Can you explain that I have subscribed to it, but there is no template for new characters after opening the game
JunkJack 11. juni 2020 kl. 23:49
sent.
JunkJack 10. juni 2020 kl. 23:34
i found the file, but i can't figure how to upload, or send
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2020 kl. 22:21
I see a couple of comments about the game crashing as soon as 'new game" is selected.
If one of you could send me your ogre.log file that would help me to see what is causing the crash. That file should be under "\Documents\my games\runic games\torchlight 2"
Thanks.

Monika 22. maj 2020 kl. 7:25
This automatically crashes my game when I try to click New Game.
Kokorocodon 18. maj 2020 kl. 14:00
Why?
Simbolic 16. maj 2020 kl. 16:06
Cool you could do that, the creator of the game if Adventure time was an anime game. Did really good on that fan made game. The controls for it was really good
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 8. maj 2020 kl. 13:13
지옥M3CHr0mANceR.#77 Unfortunately yes. I have not finished that class. That is why I made versions of the vanilla classes available with the same model. I'm more comfortable with programming and 3d stuff than skill trees.
JimboYCS 8. maj 2020 kl. 4:51
Man, I'm very impressed by this mode. I'm big Adventure Time fan and thanks a lot for making it. Finally have some reason to try to finish Torchlight 2 finally lol (I have finish the first one). Is it normal that some of the spells in Adventure Class doesn't have pictures?

I Have subscribe and no files to be found in my mods folder. Please Help?!
LindaoCE 27. apr. 2020 kl. 16:39
3) Initially I tried to run a Torchlight 2 conversion pack for Diablo, which mostly are texture and interface mods, along with a PT-BR translation mod. and in attempts to run with my mods or without them I noticed that FIonna animations can be the problem. ** I'm not saying! ** But the times that char creation worked, when selecting Fionna (of any class) sometimes one of these options happens:
1) Invisible character in T pose
2) Invisible character with or without weapons
When it wasn't, the game crashed when I clicked the create character button (New Game)

About Fionna pet, it's working well.

Very looking forward to the final version! good job. I wanted to help, but I am not aware of creating a mod at this level

If you accept more ideas:
1) A yellow texture with all white eyes for a bulldog-like pet (Jake)
2) The initial sword of the adventure class for Fionna pet
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 27. apr. 2020 kl. 8:53
@Lindão_CE
Thanks for the feedback.

1) I have a Finn model from the same model pack I got Fionna. I would need to setup his skeleton to work with torchlight 2 and re-target all the animations again. It's very time consuming. I'm still working a normal work week.

2) That is what I had planned. I have some ideas, but I have spent all my time focusing on the 3d animation and conversion to be compatible with the game. So I have next to zero experience with creating skills and particles required, plus balancing them to be fun.

3) That should not be happening. The very first version I released had an issue, but the current version should be fine. The only thing I can think of would be possibly a guid conflict with another mod. Are you using it with other mods? Try running the game with only this mod active and see if the problem persists. There should be some details in the ogre.log file after a crash.
LindaoCE 26. apr. 2020 kl. 21:30
1) I can imagine that your focus is Fionna, but by the name of the mod, it would be interesting to have a Finn model for male characters too.

2) about skills, why not use (or create) based on the exploits of animation?

3) even for a beta, is it normal to crash the game when creating a character? (frequently)

nice addition with the hair and body options!
Capybara Punnington the 3rd  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. 2020 kl. 18:39
@Bob The Bank Robber, they should be available from the various pet vendors and from fishing.
I've seen it at the Enclave at at least one of the vendors. Granted I'm running Torchlight Essentials, and Variant Pets so I may have extra pet vendors.
