oh yeah it's indeed an awesome map
mentallentil 9 Dec, 2024 @ 8:24pm
same as libdem haha, will be replaying the map to really understand the logic though
libdem 12 Nov, 2024 @ 4:32am
Cool map! I stumbled upon the solution while keeping my brain shut and doing random intuitive moves XD

Oh my god what a banger. Faved!
SpielSatzFail 24 Aug, 2023 @ 3:51pm
The aforementioned tricky key move ( swapping portals by actually entering the laser room ) took the "easy" away from me :-P

I've played this map before but somehow entirely forgotten it; I think I confused it in my mind with "Savior." I came back to it after seeing that Aneonen's Wipeout Zone was inspired by it; this is a very nice little map, and I can see the similarities with Aneonen's map in the general concept.
Aneonen 14 Dec, 2022 @ 8:50am
I don't think I ever left a comment on this one - it really is a great puzzle. I think the monoportal mechanics and the volatile cubes mesh in a very interesting way here. Rising platforms are delectable as always.

@mechtakendall This one is definitely not straight-forward at all, good job getting there in the end! I see you played Nemesis by SteamStream and I in that livestream as well; I'll check out both of those playthroughs later. Thanks for playing!
mechtakendall 10 Jul, 2022 @ 5:13pm
Really struggled a bit with this one, but got there in the end. I kept convincing myself I was doing something wrong in the end, only to discover I was doing it correctly the whole time. It's been so long since I played. Great chamber! https://youtu.be/ivbpGg9FKfU

Still super cool

@crhoaviet6
Glad you enjoyed the map! Either way of executing the switcheroo is fine :)
crhoaviet6 17 Oct, 2021 @ 5:33pm
Clever puzzle: thumbs up.

Clever puzzle with a highly unusual concept: favorite. This was the first time I'd ever seen "the switcheroo". I had a lot of trouble, because my brain wasn't programmed to keep track of portal colors.

Clever puzzle with a highly unusual concept in a minimalist setting (not even any fizzlers): masterpiece.

I actually prefer the walk-the-cube move to the keep-the-button-pressed move, but maybe I'm weird.

@levitatingspleen
Thank you for the kind words! Yeah that softlock is unfortunate as it is quite awkward to fix. If you're looking for some great monoportal maps, this collection includes some of the best around. Thanks for playing :)
levitatingspleen 25 Nov, 2020 @ 10:33am
This has got to be a gold standard in monoportal puzzle design. Immaculate through and through. I think this has been pointed out before that there's a softlock in this map if you get both cubes trapped in the laser room and the lift activation room respectively. This feels like a minor concession to what's otherwise a very intricate design

@Jinx136
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :D Those sorts of realizations are my favorite part of solving puzzles in this game. Unfortunately while typing this I accidentally deleted your comment :0 Thanks Steam Mobile for having such great interface design. Hope you still see this somehow :P
bullfrog 26 Oct, 2020 @ 1:03am
You should be " quite 'very' proud of the final result." Still a brilliant puzzle - quite easy, but so difficult to see.
Teo  [author] 27 Jun, 2020 @ 5:21pm
@Determinated
Thanks so much! That's for sure the sneakiest part of the puzzle ;)
Dire Domino 27 Jun, 2020 @ 4:47pm
What a fantastic puzzle, very intricate and very subtle. The use of the laser room completely caught me off guard, great work!

Amazing puzzle. I love how you get so much depth and reuse out of such a simple layout.

Everything in this puzzle connects really well together, solving it was fun. Good job Teo.

brilliant design. I work it out for more than 10 minutes.
Joric 20 Apr, 2020 @ 10:29pm
My 2 minutes: https://youtu.be/hKKqFd32pZE very nice difficulty, Teo knows his shit and never posts rubbish maps unlike others.

@Atom
Thank you, I'm really happy you liked this puzzle :D That maneuver is for sure the trickiest part; that was the move that inspired me to make this map in the first place
Psychological Atom 14 Apr, 2020 @ 11:32pm
OMG @Teo you're mad genius. It took me a quite some time to figure out the one move I needed to get to the exit in a very small puzzle. I have to give you a favorite for this. :)

@Spacekitty
Thank you for playing!
SpKi 13 Apr, 2020 @ 1:41pm
Nice map, took me longer than it should have :p. Thumbs up!
Demon Arisen 13 Apr, 2020 @ 9:47am
Teo, you mad genius! This was a fantastic and challenging puzzle, contained in a very compact and elegant space. Thumbs up and faved! :)
Teo  [author] 13 Apr, 2020 @ 8:35am
@Leomievs
Thank you Leo! Yeah I really wanted to reuse that idea in as many different places in the solution as I could :D Trust me, I don’t purposely try to end every map with a piston platform, but it always works so nicely :P
Leo 13 Apr, 2020 @ 2:22am
Great puzzle, with a very decent amount of steps for such a small space! I really like how the core move needs to be repeated, in slightly different ways. Also you've used that exit setup with the piston platform so many times, it's officially become the typical Teo ending move in my mind :P
QwD5nLvz 12 Apr, 2020 @ 9:05pm
@Teo
I actually ended up in that configuration accidentally, trying to move to the next step, ha! But if you end up in that configuration, it kind of lets you know what you need to do next anyways (and avoid it after a restart), so it's not that big of a deal. Just a matter of principle if the desire is to make a map "not trappable". Good map anyways, well done!
Teo  [author] 12 Apr, 2020 @ 3:37pm
@jandlml
Nice work! Indeed that ending maneuver is quite sneaky :P Glad you liked it :)
jandlml 12 Apr, 2020 @ 3:32pm
oh my gosh,finally. this was not an easy map for me. even when i finally figured out the way to use everything. great job!! :steamhappy:
Teo  [author] 12 Apr, 2020 @ 2:31pm
@QwD5nLvz
Thank you for letting me know of this issue; as this is a case of "purposeful trapping", I will have to evaluate if this is something that is in immediate need of fixing. Again, thanks for finding that
QwD5nLvz 12 Apr, 2020 @ 2:18pm
It is possible to break this map. You can get to a dead end where there is no way to return back any number of steps. And your only option is to restart the map. The configuration is: laser cube in laser room pointing laser through the orange portal to the laser receptacle for the door (this takes a few tries to get the alignment just right, it is very slight alignment, and solid cube in the start room on top of the button .
