To enable the mod permanently and without the need for the game editor, download the mod file from the Non-Steam mirror link in the discussions:
https://turoksanctum.com/turok-pc-audio-restoration/

Create the folder "mods" in your Turok game folder and copy the .kpf file into it and the mod should be loaded automatically. :winter2019happybulb:
(Naming the folder "Mods" won't work.)

If anyone is confused on how to activate Turok workshop mods. To enable them you have to open the Turok game editor from steam. Then you select workshop items at the top right. Next you highlight the mods you want to use and click the play button at the top left.

How you can add the sound to steam workshop
Phantron 25 Aug, 2020 @ 4:25pm
aha, thats fine
TJ  [author] 25 Aug, 2020 @ 2:26pm
Not really. Not all sounds were ported over due to them somehow sounding worse than their 11k equivalents.

new sound files added in the last 4 months?

Good news everyone! I am no longer an idiot because I figured out what was going on with Kex and updated my mod! *INSERT TIM & ERIC "GREAT JOB!" SOUND HERE*

I feel like we should talk about any inaccuracies in the discussion page I just created. Just to keep the comments clean I guess.

grinder3.wav doesnt exist in the original files (game.kpf), will this automically be used and was unused before?
TJ  [author] 15 Apr, 2020 @ 5:46pm
Yep. It's just, when I load up the project and click "Upload to Steam" suddenly my mod has two separate pages.
Phantron 15 Apr, 2020 @ 5:43pm
well, didnt you use the editor to upload to the workshop in the first place?
TJ  [author] 15 Apr, 2020 @ 5:38pm
I did that lol. I just don't know how to update the mod without creating a new workshop page because I don't know how the Kex Editor works lol.
Phantron 15 Apr, 2020 @ 5:32pm
you can fix speed issues quick and easy with audacity :p

chokdtha1 is the same sound. For some reason the 22k version is the original sped up. I don't know why. Turok's audio is weird.

The case with cimp1p is true. I've rectified this.

door1p is slown down for some reason. This was not intentional. Again, Turok's audio is weird.

I'll get these problems fixed as soon as I figure out how to update mods without creating a second workshop page. I dunno how to use Kex.

"door1p" is a completely different sound, is that intentional ?
Phantron 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:46pm
"cimp1p.wav" has reduced volume
Phantron 14 Apr, 2020 @ 9:44pm
the "chokdtha1.wav" is only half the length, the first half of the sound.

This is pretty awesome, man. I tried doing the same thing, but I never found any useful tools for the 22hz audio, and I got pretty busy with other things. So I am glad that you were able to make this happen. It sounds great!

I also see on your "Non-Steam Mirror" thread that the Sanctum Admin hasn't responded yet. I know Badger, so I'll make sure he is aware.
