Look how hard for over spacers to have 5 stacks of fervor all the time, and all that melter need is got shot. 1 early melter in your army = easy map clear at very least. And this is already huge.
I wont lie - so far i didnt test it vs human player, but at least hardest AI suck vs him. Especially if you got him early and rush after - low tier units, even with good mods, just get rekt.
No tier 3 or tier 4 unit in this situation can do the same.
Are you using the latest version? I would agree with your assessment for the release version. However, the Melter got hard nerfed recently. Currently if you literally throw the Melter into auto-combat against a very very weak stack (4-stack of 3 T1 + 1 T2 starting marauders) it will die horribly, taking out 1-2 units tops. My thought on its current balance is that against a human player it's within the ballpark, you can use status effects, ranged superiority, shields, etc to deal with it. Against an AI I think it's potentially strong, maybe needing a bit more of a hp/armor nerf given that it's strong against focus fire.
In neutral stacks this units is a nightmare and in hands of player (especially human one) they are literally one man army.
Maybe you rework him a little? So his passive instead of stacking fervor will give him (for example) armor with each hit for 1 round? But revive will still consume fervor.
With this changes it will be harder for him to solo entire neutral stack, imho.
The point of the mod is to make the Spacers less boring! It's harder to make interesting NPC factions more interesting.

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying them.
