i'm doing it right now
dgrad598 9 Sep, 2020 @ 8:21am
Ok well could you please make an XN60 bus with same graphics?

CRPs can only be opened by Cities: Skylines. CRPs contain the model, the textures, and other necessary properties of the asset.

Also Blender still wont let me open this CRP file... whats going on here?

Hey how long would it take you to just put the same graphics onto the XN60 bus? Also I have no idea what I do with that mod tools, it pops up a screen in the game and it looks like something a programmer would deal with.

Although quick disclaimer, when mirroring and flipping the normals in blender, the "W" menu doesnt work anymore, and you have to select everything and enter edit mode, then right click on the model to flip the normals.

Also, when importing the .obj files to blender, dont just delete the square. Before you import, select absolutely everything in the stage and delete it, not just the cube.

For exporting, OBJs also work just fine.

.crp files are the entire model and texture together. You need to subscribe to ModTools by bloodypenguin.

Follow this tutorial if you want to learn how to retexture existing models, it's fairly easy.

Hey my paint program wont open a crp file, what did you use to open it?
Hank Hill  [author] 2 Sep, 2020 @ 5:56pm
so this model specifically is a fixed-color bus because thats the point of this livery. If you want to be able to customize the bus color, go visit NinjaNoobSlayer's XN40 page since he is the original creator of the model, and this is only a retexture...

As for the XN60, I haven't found the time.

Hey any way you could redo the XN40 so I can change the color of the yellow line and not just the bottom of the bus? I wanted to have a thick blue strip. Also Any luck creating the XN60 bus??

I didn't make those MBTA trams...

And also to note, route numbers and name doesn't change. Each bus I put out has a static route number that I put out.

Oh and I use the nyc trains for my subways however use the green light rail k700 trains becuse I cant use your current trollys as metros for my greenline. I wanted to use them as trams but nobody has underground tram subway stations.

oh ok, looking forward to seeing that, right now I have an extend bus that changes color in my city names Boston but has no lettering. I use the regular older buses for my buses. I wish I could find more realistic New York City subway elevated and under ground subway stations. The Mom underground dont look like the real stations with the white tile and steal beam supports. and there all the same stations.

I haven't really been doing any retexturing lately but that is going to be in the works.

Any word on the creation of the new 60 ft long extended mbta bus? Any sound effects with it? I'm looking for a newer bus that lets me change the color wo whatever i want like the older bus.

It's supposed to be a blue stripe then a yellow stripe, but for some people the texture settings might just mix them
eloisiana 20 Apr, 2020 @ 10:05pm
Hi, can you change the color or is it just that greenish yellow color?

+Kelass So its *real life knowledge time* the XN series of buses run on CNG (compressed natural gas) and the XE series are fully electric. The XE is designed for the Green Cities DLC. Technically in terms of Cities Skylines, there is not really a difference except for the fact that they have different route numbers, and the XE40 most likely has reduced noise accumulation.
