Yeah tbh the torpedos are mainly for show. They work but don't work too well. I can't remember what exactly was in the microcontroller but if there is some sort of depth hold you should be able to easily edit it and increase the altitude. So if its set to say -3 change it to -1 or -0.5 or something.

Not sure if youre still active but do you know if theres a way to trim the fins on the torpedo within your micro controller? the torperdos work awesome but sink to a low depth.

also
yesterday i wached das boot and i found out that there are not enuf beds cause submarine like this carries 44 to 50 crewmembers also there are rooms short

i know youve workt a looooong time on this u-boot you dont need to change anything its just to tell more about submarines

thx

Theres a generator control to the far left of the control panel. Obviously you must be surfaced to use it.

question
how do you recharge the electric engines
every submarine uses the diesel engine or a generator to recharge the engines

Yes but it would be a lot more difficult and time consuming to make them in stormworks.

As for making them functional for what works? You could fit more stuff in with the IRL ballast layout.
Marcotics  [author] 1 May, 2020 @ 11:44am
I mean I wasnt going for realism with how the ballasts are laid out, just making them functional with what works in Stormworks. If the uboat goes up and down, I'm happy lol.

Also, mann, I considered making a newer submarine like that, would be cool. There is a lot of similar nuclear subs on the workshop that are really good already, however. Keep your eyes open though.

Hey could you make the Type 212A Used in the Bundesmarine.
NTSFMagellan 28 Apr, 2020 @ 2:33pm
If you make more Submarines from WW2, You could consult plans online for Details.
NTSFMagellan 28 Apr, 2020 @ 2:30pm
And of course the recently released sonar guided torpedoes on the workshop would be perfect for it.
NTSFMagellan 28 Apr, 2020 @ 2:30pm
Oh. Right. So Submarines had an outer hull, and an inner hull. The space in between is the ballast tank. The ballast tanks where typically divided into 3 or 4 parts lengthwise, to prevent weight from shifting around TOO Much. So basically the entire inner hull would be surrounded by water. With thin ribs making up the dividers separating the individual Ballast tank compartments. So youd have bottom ballast tank with 3 compartments, Right and left tank with 3 compartments. And that upper section with the holes, that would be your intake area. (also could stuff logic, but keep from making it top heavy.) And then you have the Fore and aft ballast.

What do you mean by double hulls? I plan on improving some of that other stuff in the future, as well as better torpedoes.

Nice. Think you could add Double hulls and stuff, maybe imrpove interior, add sonar torpedoes?
