True, you only need the Companion Cube dropped at the end. All three cubes generated during the coordination part of the puzzle are extraneous.

You only need one cube at the lower lvl, I had 2.

I put the cage their to give the player a claustraphobic feel. The idea is, that once you've completed the puzzle, you earn your freedom. The companion cube at the end gets you up to where you need to go next. It's all logical.

I found the cage to be very restrictive in as far as seeing what I needed to to clearly. Why you felt it necessary to have a timed exit escapes me. Why the extra cube once I had made it to the lower level. I took it with me while I figured my rout to the exit.

I understand the concept of the cage but i was talking about downstairs, if only i coud see more maybe the impression of ''small and cage'' would be less. A fizzler could do the job on the cube side. No?

Yeah, I had to use the cage so that you could hit the button outside of the box. Glass blocks interaction and portal gun shots.

Interesting concept, but to be trapped in a small cage, not very fun for me. Maybe glass would help.Well design and it's a good practice for reflexes. By the way, not very constant with the ball on the button but i inderstand it's part of the game. If you didn't like ''Gideon'' maybe you'll like ''John'' or Joey's wife'' or ''Mark'' .
