For anyone needing a replacement that plays nice with A Better Start that also just uses Intel to purchase stuff from the Black Market, try this instead...

Yup, darkdill is correct "A Better Start" does conflict with this one, so that's that I guess. Also the mod only opens the Black Market daily for two days straight, after you unlock it and the next day after, when you're going to do another mission. Then afterwards it only ever opens every other day during "Mission" Days and it's always closed during non-mission days. This happens both with and without "A Better Start" Installed, so I'm guessing that's normal I guess?

Yea, I like the other changes, but I personally liked the intel costs more. Maybe have differing options for the currency?

For those who seem to have costs in both Intel and Supplies, I think this conflicts a bit with A Better Start by Scuba Steve. Might wanna look into that.

The black market isn't open every day for me. I just installed and started a new campaign, and it's still every week.

I checked the config file and it says force daily market is on, so I'm not sure what's up.

You know, reclaiming items seem op with duplicating medkit bug. but its not like you can do something about it

Err my scav market costs both intel AND supplies, sometimes just intel...

@shadowfaxe7 @valky I don’t think is op because you don’t will have supplies every days xD but yes, I will implement a configuration file to change this. Actually the file is implemented but don’t working because is hardcoded.

@Online Addict Yes, the market must be refreshed everyday because is closed before a mission, and open after mission complete.

Had to reboot my campaign, so all changes work well - though I switched back to vanilla-refresh & unlock, because 1-day interval is a tad bit OP :)
Really like the change to credits instead!

[A version with default interval would be really nice - else, ppl can probably temporarily fix it by deleting or editing your mods "XComStrategyTuning.ini" & "DefaultStrategyTuning.ini" file. Some might probably like the earlier unlock, so you would need to edit it ^.^

The daily nature of this doesn't occur if added during campaign, after you've already unlocked the market.

Just a suggestion - maybe a version that doesn't make this appear daily? I approve of the idea of supplies - but making it appear EVER day seems a bit too easy to... ... ... uh... -sigh- game :P

Considering how massively the game uses research and intel - but barely touches supplies - I consider this a massive improvement

Especially considering - what would the black market want with intel? They're secretly working behind the scenes - they ARE intel - keeping themselves operational and working behind the scenes would need and/or want supplies MORE than intelligence that they can already gather themselves

I agree with the comments about the payments methods. But there 2 points to use Supplies only:

1- If I use 2 resources to pay, the interface will be broken, because I tested and I know that interface only show the value correctly when the item have only one resource.

2- I finished the campaign with like 50 Intel and 1000 Supplies (almost without using the market), so my motivation to make this mod was that situation xD

Anyway I will try to perform some change on the UI, and if I can avoid the UI going crazy with 2 resources, I will implement it.

@ea192000 seeing as one of the option to buy at the blackmarket is Elerium, i think you should keep the payment method to supplies and/or intel to avoid conflict.

Yeah, agree. Considering they are scavengers I think it'd be best if what they ask for were random, but I don't think it should be elerium. They mention it several times as being highly controlled and not for civilians. So, it doesn't make sense we're giving them elerium.

I think this mod would be great if they asked for a random amount of intel and/or credits for each item and could supply also intel and credits the same way they can sell you elerium caches. I mean, they are scavengers. It makes sense they'd deal in information as well, paying for intel or supplying you with intel in exchange for money.

That could be done replacing the loot table like I did on this mod. I think Elerium is not a payment method in this game. But could be made...

I like the idea of the Black Market requiring 1 of the 3 resources AT RANDOM. Maybe the scavengers need elerium one day, supplies another day, and then will trade for intel on yet another day.

Any way to include that type of randomness?
