just letting you know the tek grenade is unobtainable, the respective bosses dont drop the tekgram.

I found a fix, make sure you have this mod at the top of your load order, it seems some mods may interfere with this one. the mod should replace the vanilla grenades by default!:praisesun:

okay I figured out my problem but not all the way. You see, my server now has the correct changes to the PVExplosive grenades, but the PVEgrenades are not replacing their vanilla counterparts. I have to spawn them in manually to get the. does anyone have advice on how to replace the engrams using Ark Server Manager? any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This is one of the best mods that I consider an integral part of ARK. To make it clear why I like it so much: besides the fact that it has interesting debuffs, you can use it to set up explosives in the ARCH, make it much more powerful, which it should be. Just a bit of math: the bow deals 55 damage. A standard grenade deals 175 damage. In reality, the kinetic energy of the bow is 50 joules, and the kinetic energy of the grenade is ~ 4000 joules. In the game, it turns out that a grenade has only 3 times more damage than a bow - that is, 150 joules...

@EN4TUN3 Not sure about the fuse. Never looked and don't really intend to. As for the bass noise, no idea. I never touched sounds.

Hey, nice mod, currently when I use the basic grenade, it makes a bass heavy noise (other than that, it's somewhat hard to describe) is this a known bug or is it just on my side? - Also, curious about how the basic grenade's fuse is set up, is there no way to tweak that value?

Small issue: Tek Grenade cannot be equipped/launched by hand, but works with Tek Launcher Grenade

Do you think you could create a PvE buff for the flamethrower? One that we can configure to slow down enemies as well as configure a percent health damage for it? I really want to make the flamethrower viable again but I can't wrap my head around the modkit. Thank you!

Pretty sure it's abandoned, but I'd love to see Gravity Grenades get configs for damage and knockback. Bleeding someone out and throwing them across the map would be hilarious

@Solgaleo It's not broken. All weapons have configs that you can change to your liking. Go ahead and nerf smoke grenades :)

I Love this mod, But jesus, Smoke grenades definitely need some sort of large scale nerf, They're capable of slaughtering your own dinosaurs regardless of their level in just under a minute.

Judging by the time this has been updated, I can only assume it's been abandoned.

Is it possible to add ana ini entry where you can disable the dino flee mechanic? We were wanting a grenade that just slows dinos.

Configs are the same for all mods, it's gameusersettings.ini. If you need more details, google it.

As for the grenades, they replace vanilla ones. You may need to respec if you had already learned the vanilla one.

I'm a bit new to this, but where do you configure these? I also got the Poison Grenade engram and I couldn't even find the Engram anywhere. I had the mod as the main one for me and a friend's non dedicated extinction session and so far I haven't been able to figure out how to even find the P.Grenade engram so it can be crafted.

@Kaijin You could use the better tripwire one, if that's the only one you want, otherwise use this.
The math is correct-ish. Every millisecond you spend in the cloud effectively resets the timer. Because of this, you'll never get the exact amount, it will be more, but close enough :)

Two quick questions:

Is the plan to have this take over Better Narcotic Tripwire? Figuring out if I should remove that one if I decide to switch my server to this one.

And, just to make sure I understand the math right, using the default values given above: if someone were to stand in the cloud from the tripwire from start to finish, they'd receive a total of: 30 seconds / 2 seconds per cycle = 15 cycles * 100 torpor per cycle = 1500 torpor?

So if you are having an issue where you cannot adjust the torpor/dmg of the items, or rather you did adjust them and notice no change in-game, then simply kill yourself. Respawning refreshes it and makes it work! Thanks to Quellcrest for the help with that.

The cycle is when the buff is placed on the character. You will not notice the difference between 100-120, since every fraction of a second spent being exposed to the gas refreshes that duration. 100 - 1000 on the other hand, totally noticeable.

All I can think of is either a typo or a corrupted mod.

PoisonGrenadeTorporRange=1500.000000
PoisonGrenadeGasTimeLingerSeconds=25.000000
PoisonGrenadeTorporPerCycle=5
PoisonGrenadeTimePerCycleSeconds=3.000000

That results in gas that spread for ~5 foundations, lasts 25 seconds and the buff on players, even out of the gas, is 3s and applies 5 torpor.

If it doesn't work, unsub, delete the mod from ark and steam downloads and resub. Steam often does break files upon download.

PoisonGrenadeTorporPerCycle=100.000000 then 101.0000 then 102 up to 120 then increments of 5 then add decimal point 100 to 1000 to 10000. Each increase changed nothing. Due 224 torpor.

Raised what by what? What config exactly are you playing with?

I just changed poison grenade and tripwire to do 5 torpor, worked fine.
Changed it to 5000, dinos get knocked out almost instantly.

I thought for sure I did something wrong. So I checked and double checked and triple checked. I even went back to a premod ini file. Started fresh . Raised it by 1. Then started game when I got to 20 with no changes I started moving the decimal point. 20 to 200 to 2000. Still same values. No other mod I run changes explosive 8ni file,..... Well a stack mod but I even removed that one to check. Like I said I have been looking for a mod like this for years. I want it to work I really do , perhaps I will give it another try tomorrow. All my trys have been on single player. Still does 224 in torpor. Even tried it on 25 different Dino's.

Seems totally fine to me, on a server and singleplayer.

Was the server off before you started to edit the configs? Right file? Typos? The config header is correct?

I have been looking for a mod like this....... But alas it too has failed me. No matter how I adjust the ini files it always seems to do the same amount of torpor. I will keep an eye on this mod. If it is fixed I would love to add it back in.
