v Lag mainly comes from empty/vacant jobs so if you don't want lag just avoid building new districts/buildings until you have enough unemployed pops to take the jobs

@Aisynia I personally currently use !! 00 Performance - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1882139456

You can also search the workshop for "performance", but from what I've found a lot of anti-lag mods out there also nuke graphic quality. !! 00 Performance lets you customize what is shuts off. I set job check frequency to once every three months and that still cuts down the lag quite significantly.

Omega, what other anti-lag mods exist? I would like to use one, and I cannot find them.

This was presumably done in order to reduce lag in the endgame. One of the biggest issues Stellaris has is the fact that pop jobs are checked daily. Rather than change job check frequency (like many anti-lag mods have done) Paradox has elected to significantly reduce population growth.

Why did they even remove this?
Because gene healthcare clinics already do this?

It works perfectly in 2.7.1 and 2.7.2. I'll update the description.

Thanks for this mod, I think Encourage Planetary Growth is VERY important.

Thanks. I'll take a look at that mod

@Philosophical Owl I believe this mod does what you are looking for: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1783381443

It was last updated in December 2019, but looking at the source code it should work fine under 2.7.1. It overwrites "decision_planet_food_boost", which should undo the decision hide that was done by Paradox.
Philosopher of Aesthetics 14 May, 2020 @ 11:41pm
Can you make a version that's constant growth, so it costs monthly food instead 1000 all at once? It's much easier than you have to constantly check all planets if the decision is still active.
