Thank you for your answer voveraitis. Well, then I'll have another look at one of your other missions.:letsgo:

Yeah, well, this was my first mission. And it was kind of the idea that everything is a trap. This was a kind of black humour. Although if the traps are the only thing that annoys you, I've made many other missions, but without (so many) traps. Try other postman missions or maybe "Fully autonomous", "Don't mess wit tyhe press 2". There are not so many nasty traps and the traps that are there are solvable.

It's obviously a lot of work, so I respect it. But it's not for me.
This seems more like a demonstration of what story elements could be built into missions when the player is not supposed to have any influence on the events. Because everything here seems to be a trap that can't be discovered - let alone defused. So you save, watch yourself die, and try the next one.
This is boring.

NEW MISSION! Postman's adventures continue in Livonia as he searches for a dangerous missing shimpment and delivers the packages once again. Postman in Livonia
voveraitis  [author] 17 Sep, 2020 @ 3:44am
New scenario released - the NIGHT RIDER , featuring open-world quests and real (K)Night rider's car.
voveraitis  [author] 1 Sep, 2020 @ 6:17am
And if you need to take a break from travelling through enemy-infested islands, you can try this for an easy relaxation mission.
voveraitis  [author] 1 Sep, 2020 @ 6:16am
Hey, I'm glad that You're enjoying! Nothing is more rewarding than knowing that somebody's enjoying your work. After you finis these, try the other two scenarios - Stranded on Malden and Into the Crypt. So far, I consider "Into the Crypt" my masterpiece. The links are in the "postman in Stratis" description.

Hey man, thanks for all your help and care, I´m more than happy to play this mission, and I think that my problem actually is the fact that I leave when I die! I currently noticed that in Postman in Stratis you get a save without pills, when you deliver packages, which saved me from raging the fuck out :D. I died a short time after delivering a package on the shooting range to the north of insertion and honestly thought that Im fucked, since I used my saving pills in the early start. I still dont know how to get money, but dont feel like I need it, because Im being really careful. Its really fun. Totally one of the best scenarion that you can play without DLCs and downloads. I will do my best to finish both of these. Thank you so much.
voveraitis  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 3:06am
OK. I uploaded a little walkthrough of the Stratis part. If you get stuck, use it. And tell me afterwards - if it's still too difficult, even with the walkthrough, then I will try to remove some enemies.
voveraitis  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:44am
Well, not that it creates infinite saves. It just allows you to save many times on one savegame. Of course, the previous exitsaves will be lost this way.
voveraitis  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:43am
And there is one more thing about saving in ARMA: Yiou can have infinite saves, actually. Because when you exit, the game creates an autosave. But if you die, then it doesn't. So if you want to save, just exit the mission and it will be saved. THe next time you die, just press end and the exitsave won't be deleted. So you can just press resume. THis way, you can save the game as many times as you like. But that's kind of a cheat, I don't recommend it unless you're desperate.
voveraitis  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:38am
As for Postman in Stratis, thanks for the feedback. That Liberty_valance wrote that it's too difficult, but he always complains about everything, so I don't even know anymore whether that's true or not. If you want, I can make a little walkthrough for Postman in Stratis which will help you. Yes, it is difficult, even for me although I know where everything is. If it's really too overwhelming, then I will consider removing some enemies to make it a bit easier.
voveraitis  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:37am
OK, it seems I can't reproduce this. There are a few things about ARMA saves - firs, if you autosave, but die end the press end, it doesn't create exitsave and later doesn't allow you to continue from your last save. But that's probably not your case. I don't really know what to do, but I suggest that you take tyour latest autosave, if you still have it, delete that continue.something and, make a copy of your latest autosave and rename it to continue.something. Maybe that will help, although I don't know.
voveraitis  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:20am
That's strange. I'll investigate, but I doubt that's the mission's problem, more likely a bug in ArmA itself. I'll test and let you know.
X Z 3 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:17am
In the scenario menu it shows me "resume" but for some reason it just starts from the beginning. I've recently started playing the postman in stratis, which is really difficult, as there are no manual saves and I can't figure out how to get money for the saving pills. The game saves just fine, right now I'm continuing from where I left off. I feel like the problems are on my side, I followed your instructions in the comments on how to get the saves to work but still it's not.
X Z 3 31 Aug, 2020 @ 1:12am
I've made many, many, many saves throughout the mission, even in the outpost but I still lost the progress. When I looked into the game files, everything looked good, there was the continue.arma3 something (it was something like that, I renamed it but it's the same) today I opened the postman in Altis and it still didn't work. Lost progress again so I don't really know what to do.
voveraitis  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 1:51am
Oh, and there is a second part of Postman's adventures on Stratis, but don't judge it by this mission. It's completely different. It has the same gameplay, where you have to travel around the island, but in terms of game saving and traps and loot, it's completely different and much more polished. In there, you won't just get poisoned for no reason. Just saying to people in case somebody decided to start with the first part instead of the second one.
voveraitis  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 1:46am
The outpost actually lets you save your game. There is an armchair in every otupost. You just need to clear it. My advice is: Go to the first outpost, manual-save somewhere on the way when you get closer, so that you don't have to start all over again if you die. Then clear the outpost, gear up there, save yopur game at the armchair or at the data station (the armchair skips time, the data station only saves and you can save in there without fully clearing the outpost).
X Z 3 22 Aug, 2020 @ 10:20pm
Yup, I lost all my progress yesterday so I just went to Pyrgos took a car of off the guys near the salesman and drove straight to the outpost north of the insertion point, then I went to see the sightseeing point, got shot at, killed them and somewhere on the path to the delivery point something led me to quit. I have a feeling that I might lose progress again, but I think I saw you commenting solutions so I'll do that. Thanks for the tips, right as I saw the weapon crates at the sightseeing point I was like oh yeah I'm gonna take a sniper rifle and kill the snipers, but then I saw "Basic weapons"... :D It's still really fun, since I'm dumb I might have to start again but whatever.
voveraitis  [author] 22 Aug, 2020 @ 7:45am
Yeah, many things try to kill you fully. Actually, to be honest, the only thing worth visiting is the outposts. And usually there is all the loot that you need. In those locations, you can at best find something extra, there are some really good things, like, for example, a thermal vision scope and marksman rifles socpes, sometimes silencers, but everything is optional. The point is the objectives. There are also two places where you can get a teammate. But if you want him, you're gonna fight to get him. And anyway, that AI is always lagging behind, in a mission like this maybe better to just travel alone.
X Z 3 22 Aug, 2020 @ 4:42am
Thanks for the info, I died many times to car traps and the gas but that didn't stop me. Tbh it's not going to until I finish the mission :). I'm just not sure if the mention of the trap cars meant that they kill you every time too? I tried to eject at a high speed but it explodes either way, but I understand that. The mission is really good and long, that just makes me not want to leave Arms, because none of my friends have it. I'll make sure to try your other scenarios too! Thank you again.
voveraitis  [author] 21 Aug, 2020 @ 6:45am
I know, maybe not the best game design feature, but this was my first public mission and I didn't really plan anything, just made what's fun for me. I hope you also enjoy despite sometimes dying in some completely nonsensical way.
voveraitis  [author] 21 Aug, 2020 @ 6:43am
Hi, you can't deal with poisonous gas. You just don't go there. And in general, I want to say for everybody who plays this mission: some traps are just meant to make you die. So, don't get stuck on them. If you can't solve it, just move on to the objectives. There are some really nasty surprises and this mission is menant to be like that, it's kind of black humour. And some locations are just menat to be deadly. And those trap cars also. If you see something left just before your eyes, alwaysd be suspicious. Some locations actually do have awesome loot. But even then they're usually not safe. So, I just want to say: if you can't find the solution - move on. Don't get stuck on anything.
X Z 3 21 Aug, 2020 @ 4:00am
Hello, I was wondering how do you deal with the poisonous gas? I mean running away doesnt work since I die everytime when even far away. Right now I found the small church thing with Launchers box inside and some more stuff but cant get to it. Is it possible?
voveraitis  [author] 28 Jul, 2020 @ 4:00am
Second part released. It is much, much higher quality than this one. Postman in Stratis .
voveraitis  [author] 14 Jul, 2020 @ 9:08am
But you need to clear them first
voveraitis  [author] 14 Jul, 2020 @ 9:08am
The only place thai is really worth visiting, other than the objectives, is the safehouses. Because they let you save your game.
voveraitis  [author] 14 Jul, 2020 @ 9:06am
OK. I hope you enjoy. If you wnat to learn about navigation, it's explained nicely in the Prologue campaign. In the first or second mission the seargent asks you to find the soldier's position relative to the landmarks. Use the same method. Or, maybe later in the game, find a GPS. But for me personally it's more fun to navigate with map and compass ant to plan my route. Besides, visiting unknown locations can (very likely) get you killed if you don't know what's there and what to expect. So,if you're curious, then go ahead and explore, you might find some awesome loot there, but if you just want to complete a mission, maybe better just to go to the objectives and not go into unknown places.
Liberty_Valance 14 Jul, 2020 @ 7:42am
yes, I wil try again following as per instructions !
voveraitis  [author] 11 Jul, 2020 @ 11:56am
Did I explain clearly enough?
voveraitis  [author] 11 Jul, 2020 @ 11:55am
Well, you know. When you press M the map opens. Everything is there. There are flags where you have to deliver the packages, there are some other interesting locations and there are question marks for unknown locations, meaning that you will find out what's there when you get there.
voveraitis  [author] 11 Jul, 2020 @ 11:46am
Map markers. You know, those markers that are on the map.
Liberty_Valance 10 Jul, 2020 @ 2:06pm
What markers ?
voveraitis  [author] 8 Jul, 2020 @ 1:43pm
The locations are marked on the map with the markers. They are not shown on your HUD on purpose, because that's part of the idea of this mission: to find your way. Use your map and your compass. Relate to visible landmarks and try to work out your location. If that's too difficult for you, find a GPS. It's in the area with a few houses in north-eastern Altis (although you will have to find your way until then), but be careful and look behind the corners, because enemies are often where you least expect them to be. The markers are placed almost exactly where the officers are. You should have no trouble finding them.
Liberty_Valance 8 Jul, 2020 @ 1:12pm
if packages are to be delivered, you could at least show the location, otherwise it is bullshit !
voveraitis  [author] 15 May, 2020 @ 12:39pm
This is supposed to be a long and hard mission with a lot of nasty surprises. For best experience, try this on veteran level: when your'e not shown on the map, the navigation aspect of the mission will become way more fun.
