Back when I built CV I didn't exactly know what I was doing all too much for that; but you're supposed to tap B repeatedly after the paddle swings out. I should have made that clearer in retrospect, lmao.
Since RERUNNER's recently released(very good game), I might come back to this character for another minor visual/gameplay overhaul. God knows his Dspecial needs a serious reevaluation, Nspecial aside.
Thank you so much! Eventually I want to roll out a patch to add even more compatibility(there's so much more now), and I'm completely aware that Abyss Runes are now a DE thing. I'm gonna look into it soon and push it together with some balance/visual tweaks.
also, I would like you to make CV compatible with Abyss mode (since abyss runes are no longer required).
Hey, thanks! I made sure I used all his games this way, from BEAT in the Nspecial to Runner2/3 in his looks. I've played them a few times, so I felt it was important get his whole series referenced fairly.
The other problem is that those "projectiles" aren't real. They move along with him and that doesn't look natural, so I think you'll have to look into a way to incorporate B-Air as a true projectile-based move somehow.
There's also N-Air, which stays active even during landing, but that's probably just an oversight.
For now, that's all I had to provide until I keep labbing him. (3/3)
Yes, the clone part is a little true to some extent, admittedly, but "clone" is a strong word and not true in this context. They're similar. (2/3)
While, yes, the wait might be a valid point for disappointment if you think the character didn't "deliver," I still wouldn't demean someone else's work by calling their character something as low as that.
D , by seeing your previous, available work and by reading the description of this character alone, it's clear you're just starting off. I generally think looking into the author's background (if easily available) is a good practice before you go off on them; be thoughtful and respect the fact that they're probably trying their best. It's freelance work; they don't owe you nothing. The author can work at their own pace without fear for deadlines. (1/3)
Nspecial's meant to double as a combo starter and a stage control device. It changes depending on Modes, and is a two-step thing. Close quarters allows you to hit with it(two times which can be canceled right into a combo), and you can fire up to five Beats at a distance before it locks you out of firing for a second or so.
Fspecial changes from a simple quick-dash to a full three-hit grab move after hitting HYPER and every Mode higher.
Nstrong has two hitboxes and is meant to function as such for people at reasonable distances instead of what would be Bowser's Nstrong.
his down special is the same as sandberts
his neutral special is the same as sandberts
his forward special is the same as sandberts
his neutral strong is the same with the slight difference that it pushes CV away instead of moves him forward like sandberts nstrong
its almost not even subtle.
even more dissapointing because i was so excited to play as C.Vid in a fighting game.
