@meatboy - Yes and no, every 'creature' needs to have a configuration (which cannot be changed) in this case both android and cybernetic are treated as 'robots'. robots (like skeletons) dont gain muscle etc. as they gain str/ dex.

seems strength and dexterity have no visible effect on the cybernetic human. im assuming this was intentional?

in a word i'm unfortunately going to keep the 'is robot' as true, just due to the trade-off of mechanical difference (repair kit vs bandage) vs the cosmetic difference (is shredded when strong- which would look sick af imo)

I have a number of issues with the 'is_robot' object, but i cannot change it, as it is fairly hard-coded into the modding tool and would require someone with more experience to fix. hopefully in kenshi 2 it will instead be a series of choices, instead a bunch being 'bundled' together in one option.

so some quick testing (havn't played kenshi beyond bug fixing since well before covid)

basically "is_robot" applies a template which does some things.

1. nulls the hunger function entirely
2. makes you auto ping as a robot to those that care about that (holy nation, robot beds, etc.)
3. only half tested but IIRC this causes the choice of bandages or repair kits to be you healing item. (the skill will remain the same, but the item wont. ex. use bandage, but also the repair skill to heal.
4. the old description on the mod tool says causes: "CHAR Attributes do not level up, instead upgrades" but that isn't true so idk what else it does.
5. probs a bunch of other shit im not aware of.

@TheUbermanlet Hello! I was just connecting, let me tell you, I have an idea what it could be because of the science attribute, the character I was testing it with had that stat quite high (+50), I haven't had time to test a character without said attribute, but I would say that it could be!

@The Ubermanlet I love this mod, it has become my favorite when it comes to playing, but I have a drawback and that is that even though my cybernetic or android characters have more attributes, they will never show up with muscle textures, I realized that deactivating the setting "is robot" to false, this is solved, but I don't know what the repercussions of setting that race option to false are, if you are so kind as to answer me or help me, I would really appreciate it!

I was getting really frustrated when playing with this thing because it kept going unconscious randomly while traveling. After it fell over a few times I noticed it had the starving debuff so it had been passing out from exhaustion. I was confused as hell because it's a skeleton and didn't have a hunger bar. I gave it some ration packs and it and it immediately ate them and stopped passing out. It doesn't display the hunger on the hunger bar, but it still has to eat or it'll die. If you're still interested in updating the mod you might wanna check out however the hell this guy did it if you wanted to make the Cybernetic Human require food.

I don't know if you still care to work on this mod at all, I just noticed something interesting when I was messing around with some custom races from other mods in my recent playthrough. I found a skeleton race that doesn't have a hunger bar, but it needs to eat or it will get the starving debuff and eventually die from starvation. The dark hive queen from this mod.

After your last answer, I was facing a dilemma: abandon my MA Android due to animation issues or learn to create patches so I could add animation files into the mod? I took the second road, learned to patch and did it myself. I can only there’s no conflict between your update and my patch.

But anyway, much appreciated! Androids and Cyborgs are my favorite races in the game. Can’t play with anything else! Happy 2022 for you as well and many thanks!!!

I don't even know if people play this game/ use this mod anymore, but i added the animation files from the animation overhaul into the mod. if this breaks the mod in any way i'll revert it, but from what i can tell about the original mod it shouldn't, it should only add animations.

I for the record, did not make the animation mod and have no affiliation with them, i though this is done without their explicit permission,, the animation mod has a sister-mod for the JRPG-races, so i think the implication is this is meant for all possible races/ characters etc.

I should've made myself a bit more clear. Yes, it's animation related. AOM stands for Animation Overhaul Mod, which changes the animation (REEAAALLLY?? lol) involving crafting stations. Thing is it breaks the crafting animation for non-vanilla races. I was just asking because I love this mod, but the crafting animation is completely broken, since they'll just stand still while working. But, anyway, thanks a lot for the answer! There are no companions, i have only made the player a possible android, will update description. i do not update this mod/ it should work for all versions. So i don't plan on making any improvements.

The game's code makes anyone with the Skeleton trait (oil instead of blood and etc) an enemy of the HN, and the modding support for the game is kind of weak in terms of rewriting how the game works. Besides, from a lore perspective, the Holy Nation devotes their entire lives and have been doing so for generations to slaying Skeletons, assuming these cybernetic guys have been around in the world for some time the HN would assuredly know how to recognize one of them apart from a human by now.

So the holy nation still hates these guys? Seems kind of strange since you can't really tell the difference appearance wise. Is it possible to have a version that can blend in with them?

If you happen to know how I might be able to add the hairstyles from the JRPG mod to your models do enlighten me, I couldn't seem to find any sort of copy/paste or new asset feature in the race's menu while I was playing around with it. As it is I'm even missing some of the faces, because I couldn't find a way to add a new one (JRPG has like 7?) so I only picked 4 to replace the ones that were in there already.
