Sadly I am not able to contribute anymore to this game with maps due to this problem. http://community.companyofheroes.com/forum/company-of-heroes-2/company-of-heroes-2-general-discussion/company-of-heroes-2-bug-reporting/84859-error-writing-file-when-publishing-no-error And as you can see, this colleague mapmaker is already waiting for months and no help what so ever from relic. So I guess this is the end. So playing the game is what I am going to do now and trying all the new mods :)

But once on the ice you can make tanks sink by a mortar, at gun, artillary or a shot from a tank. :)

Thanks for the quick reply. Still one question though ;-) I managed to change the popcap on my own map and a vanilla map. Now i would like to change the popcap on maps i downloaded from steam workshop (sadly i'm not quite the mapbuilder artist myself). However i cant seem to find them and i dont understand how to use the archiver to archive them... Thanks a lot!

Then do not add a day/night cycle, the blizzard is cool on this map ;-)
About adding a day/night cycle. to this map as well ... I could do that but on this map there is then one drawback, if I implement the day/night transitions it disables the gameplay effects from blizzards. Meaning, soldiers won't freeze to death anymore and pios and engineers can't build campfires. They are then useless anyway as troops don't need to warm up anymore. (good news, the water effects are still intact, so open water still freezes back to solid ice) So if I implement a day/night cycle to this winter map i'll do the same as with my latest map 'reverse defence'. I'll make a 'by night' version. As a day/night cycle has nice lightning effects. So I'll leave this map intact, as it is and people who like a day/night cycle implemented in this winter version of vire river can download the by night map that can be expected soon, still working on it.

Yes [OR]STPatrick the ai is sometimes a bit dumb and it can hinder your units everywhere in fact. Last game I ordered 5 tanks to attack a base .. 4 tanks arrived .. I looked where the other one left .. I found it at our side of the river, blocked by 2 of my ai teammates
tanks that were repairing near a trench. My 5 th tank was blocked between these 2 tanks and the trench. I couldn't go forward, back, left or right. I had to wait till they were repaired and moved on. The ai was blocking in coh1 as well. Like the entrance to the base north on the hochwald map for example. But since this doesn't happen often it doesn't hinder gameplay to much.
Hi Shpongle, my friend --=REAPER=-- wrote the script for the dynamic popcap its not a worldbuilder option. After testing the script it is now released to the public so that other mapmakers can make use of it if they want http://www.dark-troopers.com/UserContent/FightingChance.txt
I just updated the map again. Fixed starting positions and increased popcap a bit
