@Anthonest I wouldnt assume just because nobody else has done it. Call to arms and as2 both use 64 sounds, its not that different. In fact, both use the exact same "sound.set" file. Have you ever looked at call to arms files?

@That207Guy Yes the 64 bit engine makes it quite different from previous titles. However this is not the only difference, the sound engines are different as well. AS2 is limited to no more than 64 simultaneous sounds, among other limitations, its quite primitive. I am fairly certain what you are suggesting is quite impossible though, since none of the highly capable sound modders of our time have done anything even approximating that.

@Anthonest I wasnt asking you to change anything, was just wondering. And the difference is as2 is 32bit and cta is 64 bit. And adding a "second" distant shot sound is definitely not impossible. If you look at the files, they are almost identical to each other. CTA just has a few extra. Its just a matter of using tags and customs defines. Will the game run like garbage after? maybe.

CTA uses a completely different engine and version of GEM than AS2, it is a huge upgrade all around. The there are far less differences between GOH and CTA. Even so, it would not be possible in my mod because it is designed to be compatible with vanilla multiplayer, so I cannot change things of that nature.

@Anthonest I wouldnt say its impossible, ive ported the 3d sound that goh uses into the original cta. The original cta and as2 arent much different. Was just wondering tbh, looks like a decent mod either way. Maybe I will attempt to port it over. Thanks.

Modifying the way the sound engine works in AS2 is not possible, the sounds are just of higher quality and realism, the way they behave is the same.

@RYLAI 赖莱 Not really. A few sounds will show up hear and there but those mods add a bunch of new things while I simply replace old ones.

I have a mod that’s basically vanilla combat with some balance changes and new units and factions, the original idea of my mod was that I HATE robz but liked the effects so I got permission to use cbyyy13 effects for vanilla and combined it into world at war and men of war ww2 the reason I chose world at war as a base was that it was the mod of choice of judska and strat29 so it was always really balanced and super fun to play

I like the mod, but I found one big problem, well, kinda big. Soviet voice lines dont match to the game like at all. Infantry says paratrooper lines. Like "Paratroops ready to fight" and etc. Is there any way to disable soviet voice lines or you will fix it on your end?

Rifle clips? Reloading sounds for small arms are unchanged. The ogg's are of sufficient quality to avoid redesigning like a lot of the other unimportant sounds, like bird or cow sounds. If you are talking about the bolt, those are all completely different from vanilla, and you are having some kind of bug.

Yes, just make sure its loaded after Valour. However, many of these sounds are much higher quality than Valour sounds, so there will be considerable contrast. @killerof1945

@Balzacvondouchenberg This mod doesn't remove anything, just replaces existing sounds. You might be hearing something more subtle and realistic instead of the vanilla arcade sounds. Either that or you have a client side issue.
