Hi, I would ask you if you've in mind to improve the visual aspect of your units after the release of the balkan factions (I mean shields, helmets etc) many thanks.
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 1 Jun, 2014 @ 4:26am
Ok, I will have a look at that.

Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 16 Mar, 2014 @ 12:21am
Well most people don't read the description at all :) I will make some units look little more "greek" when I have time.
Vallheini 15 Mar, 2014 @ 9:45am
Ah, as you also said, it was a greek polis...sorry, i didn' t read the whole description.
Vallheini 15 Mar, 2014 @ 9:43am
Actually, there was the city called Byzantium in the 272 BC (so Herodotus tells us in his books 2-3), a city famous for his slave market, but under the influence of the Kingdom of Bosphorus in that time...could you please make some units a little more "greek" please? After all, Byzantium was founded by Megara, and it was a wealthy polis....
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 14 Mar, 2014 @ 7:10am
I agree, I was so disappointed when I saw that there wasn't Byzantium city-state or even city called Byzantium. And I will keep the name Tylis-Byzantium because the area covers also the areas where were celts, so the nation is combine/mix of this city-state and from celts...

But great idea :)
Mugbut 13 Mar, 2014 @ 6:35pm
Wish they had created a Byzantine city-state in the game ;(
Mugbut 13 Mar, 2014 @ 6:34pm
Rename the faction Byzantium :D
SilentResident 8 Mar, 2014 @ 1:35pm
@ agd1554:

Apparently you are playing ROME II in a different language, other than English, right?

Because that is always the case with missing unit names. The solution is that Suomen-SuurRuhtinas has to add the strings of the unit names for the other languages, for them to appear properly on non-english ROME II games. :)
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 3 Mar, 2014 @ 7:09am
I think you should redownload maybe it fixes the missing name problem... I will also be updating this soon.
Wiking 26 Feb, 2014 @ 8:45am
Hey, I've been using this mod for a while, and I think the units look great, but the names for the units don't appear for me in game. I was wondering if you could help, or if you know why that might occur.
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 22 Feb, 2014 @ 3:09am
Yes, I will improve Byzantine Hoplites as soon as possible
Jack 21 Feb, 2014 @ 5:25am
Could you improve the Byzantine hoplites please.Their melee defence is quite bad, considering the fact that hoplites were renown for their elite defence in combat.
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 13 Feb, 2014 @ 5:41am
Well, I will continue this mod as soon as possible, great idea that faction recoloring, but if I would change it purple people would more likely to think this is the mod for Byzantium Empire and not about the ancient city.
LeNoX 12 Feb, 2014 @ 12:02pm
I hope, that this great mod would be continued and expanded ;) Maybe faction recolour
(+/-Purple)? :D
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 5 Feb, 2014 @ 5:15am

Negim, kai minä ne voisin kalliintaa patch 9 beta hintaluokkaan.

@-_-Retard Revolution-_- : Is it hard to read the description? I think it is for you, so I will paste here what it says in the description:
...Because there isn't Byzantium city state in game so I have made Tylis to be a combination of these two.

Info about Byzantium: Byzantium was the ancient Greek city on the site that later became Constantinople. It was founded by Greek colonists from Megara in 657 BC. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byzantium)
Negim 28 Jan, 2014 @ 7:29am

Will this reskin affect other unit mods to the same faction or just Vanilla + yours?
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 20 Jan, 2014 @ 6:41am
Yes, you are absolutely right, and thanks.
Alexios Spinosa 20 Jan, 2014 @ 12:13am
You (modder) have my most undoubtful and sincere gratitude for the making of a such a mod, concentrating solely on the Byzantium Empire. I come from an organization that fancy's the Byzantium culture in all ways imaginable. Yes you are correct (modder), Byzantium was the ancient name of the city, before the Roman Emperor "Constantine I" remodified it to suit the Eastern Roman Empire and dubbed it Constantinople. And to be exact, The byzantine Empire never existed. That was a name given to it by scholar's and historian's to be in agreement with one another. The Byzantine have always considered themeselves as the Roman Empire, especially after their sister nation to the west, fell to barbarians.
Suomen-SuurRuhtinas  [author] 14 Jan, 2014 @ 10:34am
I know Byzantine Empire but there was city called Byzantium before the Byzantine Empire and this mod is about that city.
ChRoN1KbLuNt 14 Jan, 2014 @ 7:02am
the byzantium empire was after rome they are decendents from the roman empire in turkey and balkans
