there is a video on youtube that details the aftermath following the black mesa incident leading all the way up to and bit past earths surrender to the combine. in reality it would be absolutely terrifying but the storytelling that halflife only shares bits and pieces of is really underappreciated.
But for me it's not problem and even more interesting.
