Will this be updated to include the new colorable panels? @xirathonxbox

Thank you for releasing this under an open license. <3

This mod needs a small update. The block definition is outdated, so it forces obsolete component requirements. Vanilla solar panels now require 32 solar cells, not 64 anymore -- using this mod makes all solar panels cost twice as many solar cells to build.

If you were to ditch the sbc edits and stick to script edits using configurable multipliers, in order to support generic modded panels, this mod would be at the top of my list.

Does this function on planets too? So if I'm high up in elevation on a planet, like earth, where the o2 is less, won't that mean the large solar panel will give more than 160kw because the air density is less? That would actually be cool. Wouldn't this also mean using solar on planets with less air density, like Mars, might actually make sense sometimes?

Is it possible, to make this effect usable for some solar panel mod? I use this mod url=https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2221990774? As it is now the first tier upgrade panels are useless, becaue they are not as powerfull in Space as the Vanilla now.

this mod is making my world corrupt and causing it to crash, any fix?

Would it be possible to have the mod increase solar output instead of decrease it? So for example a 160kW panel would produce 400kW in space, instead of the current other way around?
It would mean the mod is much more compatible with custom solar panels added by other mods, and you also wouldn't have to modify the vanilla solar panel's sbc anymore.

Oh I was not aware, thanks for letting me know.

The new weather mechanics do effect solar output, including with this mod already.
QuintusJ 26 Jun, 2020 @ 10:02pm
I wonder if you could have storms decrease solar panel output?

Nice!
I sawed your boat in half! 14 Jun, 2020 @ 4:38pm
thank you for this! wind took care of planetary power but in space starting out with enough power is difficult.

Yes that was my intent, I looked up on the wiki and it said their values where 120/30 .. I guess that had changed and the wiki wasn't updated?

I'll take a look and update to that if that is the case.
Netherspark 14 Jun, 2020 @ 4:16am
Can I suggest keeping them at their original values on planets (160/40)? Anyone who currently has solar panels in their world will suddenly find they're even less effective than they were before.
