still hoping this mod gets a update. Especially because the new space creatures added such as the cuttalloids and the void worms do help make the galaxy feel much more lively. but i always remember this mod way back when. @Obscuris thanks all the same.
ZacharyBuilder 14. maj 2023 kl. 17:16
@Obscuris Can you update this mod to the latest update?

Ship models are black boxes, crashes to desktop upon starting a game.

i'm hoping this mod gets updated to 3.2
kaelis 25. nov. 2021 kl. 11:17
Sorry to say I had to remove your mod because it was causing the small red laser in the NSC2 mod to register an average damage of 1K.
Helobu 24. nov. 2021 kl. 2:33
ship selection crashes 3.2

woo! you are awesome!

The next update will include a way to forcibly spawn them in non-ironman games, though there are several mods that increase the spawn chance of systems that should be 100% compatible. I think one of the really up-to-date ones is called All Leviathans Spawn
Your Pal Deebs 16. sep. 2021 kl. 20:55
Is there a mod that forces crystalline asteroids to spawn, that way I never miss out on your awesome mod?
Janim 22. aug. 2021 kl. 8:09
This is very good, looking forward to the update. I also hope that you continue to work on the "The Infection" mod.
Obscuris  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2021 kl. 17:45
Yes, eventually. My computer has been pretty much out of commission for a while, so I haven't been able to work on much of anything. I've done as much as I can to repair it without sending it to a shop, but it still will need to be fully fixed relatively soon. As of a few days ago, however, I should be able to work on modding again.
Janim 21. aug. 2021 kl. 6:41
Will the mod be updated in the future?
Obscuris  [ophavsmand] 26. apr. 2021 kl. 8:03
I'll keep that in mind, thank you!
Angelic Burrito 26. apr. 2021 kl. 7:39
Wow, that's a big change note. Thanks for the update!
Your mods are impressive, and I think their popularity would do better if they were "marketed" better; if you ever upload a new one some screenshots would probably go a long way in terms of users/ratings. (I just think your mods are underrated :steamhappy:)

To be fair, that's just because the AI is terrible at this game in general, the mod being an actual challenge for the PLAYER means that naturally the AI is going to be screwed :tbptongue:
Tiasson 13. jan. 2021 kl. 10:07
Imho this mod can make the game a bit unbalanced. I have seen quite large AI-empires exhausted to the point of simply giving up systems, possibly unable to defeat the crystallines.

Just for the sake of knowing, there is a mod that adds an ascension perk for controlling a Guardian. But its a series of ascension perks you have to get in order to do that, so I personally don't think you need to add that in.
Shunterdunt 28. aug. 2020 kl. 14:06
Anyway, thank you for making the mod, I like it alot!
Obscuris  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. 2020 kl. 8:50
I don't think I will, no. They've been fighting against the galaxy for who knows how long and no one seems to have been able to tame them yet, so it doesn't seem likely one of the newer empires would magically have a breakthrough even the Curators couldn't find. (Then again, the Machine FE managed to tame the Mining Drones while we can't...) If I do add this in, it'll probably be in the form of a relic that spawns a raider fleet, that can subsequently spawn asteroids that can't spread to other systems.
Shunterdunt 22. aug. 2020 kl. 23:26
Do you think in the future there will be a way to control them? Maybe a special event that can spawn when you defeat one. any way this is a great mod and adds a little spice to the game. thank you!
Obscuris  [ophavsmand] 20. aug. 2020 kl. 8:59
Some mobile asteroids do act as garrison units, yes. These ones always come as lone units so that it's easier to defeat them, but there can also be multiple of them in the same system.

System spread is weird for a reason; the crystals absolutely need asteroids to grow, so systems with no asteroids can't have hives spawn. I also encountered the problem of systems like Sanctuary blocking off one or more routes through the galaxy early in development. To counter this, I made it so that a hive can spawn up to 2 systems away from a fully infested system, but can't spawn in a system they were recently defeated in. The wait time should be 2-4 years before spawning in a new hive in said system.
Steiner 20. aug. 2020 kl. 4:30
Howdy.

It even works with custom galaxy creation mods so very nice.

When the hive attack asteroid/hive at 50k fleetpower moves its only going through the same systems up to 3 or 4 from where it spawned and keeps doing that. Is it supposed to keep doing that like a mobile garrison unit?

When they spawn to new systems they don't seem to take all systems on the way.
For me they didn't take all systems between their hive system to hive newly-taken system, not taking another empires systems either, then to my controlled system. That one normal empire controlled system didn't have asteroids or planets. So i kept getting hostile hives constant and couldn't advance on the hive because i had closed borders with the neutral empire in the way.

Obscuris  [ophavsmand] 29. juni 2020 kl. 15:13
It's more or less compatible with everything, but anything that replaces 00_leviathans_weapons (component templates) or 11_leviathans (ship sizes) will make the non-moving hives and some of the Infested Crystalline Entities weaker.
Song 29. juni 2020 kl. 14:04
This sounds awesome. How's the compatability?
Shadok 28. juni 2020 kl. 17:01
Me: This is a horrifying concept which will destroy the first dozen games I play with it on.

okay cool thank you. Im in 2050 so i think its fine
Obscuris  [ophavsmand] 25. juni 2020 kl. 13:33
As long as you didn't kill off the Hivers already, yes it should be.
Vincenator 25. juni 2020 kl. 12:00
Is this save game compatible??
Obscuris  [ophavsmand] 24. juni 2020 kl. 16:05
They activate as soon as someone normally awakens them, though I suppose I could put in a way to prevent them spreading too early.
Spirit 24. juni 2020 kl. 14:30
why not add them as a potential midgame crisis ?
Angelic Burrito 24. juni 2020 kl. 13:31
This sounds really cool and a little insane. Do they start expanding from game start, or does an empire have to find them first (or some other condition)?
AryxCami 24. juni 2020 kl. 7:08

I'm the kinda guy that sets barbarians to max in Civs, and adds mods to make them even stronger and survive the horde to see which empire is truly worthy of facing me. This feels like that, and i love it.
