Hey @Sweet, thanks for the quick response. I did defeat the Warriors of Chaos 3 times and they stopped showing up. Now just to wipe the other Chaos factions off the map.

Also, reloading my save seemed to reset the diplo so that the warriors of chaos weren't at war with the other factions.

Thanks again for the great mod, this made fighting chaos pretty epic and enjoyable.

To stop the second wave of invasion, the warriors of chaos must be defeated three times after archaon's arrival.
I'll look into the script again to check the diplomacy settings.

This is a great mod, just a quick question though. To end the Chaos invasion, do you have to completely destroy the Warriors of Chaos only, or every single Chaos faction (All four chaos god factions, vessels, puppets, etc.).

Also, as someone mentioned, after I defeated Archaeon the first time, he respawned, but somehow his puppetry over the other chaos factions broke and he declared war on norscan factions and everyone else.

I think that it would be cool if some Nurgle and Slaneesh units appeared in Chaos armies if you are subscribed to appropriate mods.

Made tweaked version for armies as I prefer them, but may of also found solution to the unvassaling thing. I don't think script knows diff between first and second wave invasion as far as vassals go (think thats just for spawning diff factions), so in the first instance within the script where list all factions that should be vassals, I tossed in lines 5-8 (four new factions you've re-used from norsca campaign) there and doubled checked the second pass has them all too, played out rest of empire campaign no issues except one of the chaos warrior armies spawn in wastes within a rock formation and cannot be engaged nor move, luckily didn't prevent me from finishing campaign/unlocking achivement for empire

IMO Chaos has enough variety in its roster that it's possible to create fun themed armies to fight. If Chaos only gets samey doomstacks, then it will get stale quickly, because you will be fighting the same battle over and over again.

Some examples for inspiration:
1. Mobile cavalry and chariot-heavy army with some skirmishers and/or monsters for support. No infantry, no hellcannons.
2. Infantry+trolls/giants combo with dragon ogres for support.
3. Infantry+tons of skirmishers for support. No hellcannons.
4. Monster-heavy army (monsters of all kind).
5. Classic Total War army (just infantry, cavalry and artillery).
6. Forsaken+spawn combo with warhounds, manticores and dragon ogres for support.

Also just some general feedback for lite version, maybe...just scale back doomstackyness a little bit, not even really for challenge level of things more just...kinda boring once get to phase 2 and aint got no cannon fodder to beat up anymore on chaos side of things, just hellcannons and shaggoths with is cool and all but like after one big battle if they lose, thats it for cannons, and variety wise I dunno, just thinking maybe keep chaos warriors and reduce caps of bigger units for phase 2. Beastmen especially, just nothing but minotaurs lol not really hard, just boring after a while and doesnt really rep factions very well for what is otherwise extremely immersive low end enhancement mod for chaos. Just my two cents.

@rogelito Bug report, playing another campaign, not sure didn't notice first time around but seeing now that sometimes in phase 2 of the invasion, if you have comp destroyed them first, there is a chance when the new chaos armies (strings 4-8 I think) spawn during doom tide where they are not vassals to chaos warriors, or at war with anyone. Diplomacy is also still disabled for them as if they were vassals, so can't declare war on them and just kind of float around coast staring at you lol

Seen it happen with two diff ones now, also noticed reloading auto save before doom tide like 50/50 if works or not and only ever noticed it with faction that was destroyed and is one of the new ones.

Hope this helps if it is the mod, fairly confident not a mod conflict as I do not mod chaos in the game other than this, mostly just visual stuff etc.

Thank you for this, I really like your 3x version, but wanted the chaos invasion to come a little later for gameplay purposes.

I can confirm the early invasion non-vassal state, for what it is worth, kind of like it lol/they haven't been able wipe them out, where as Kislve, not so much. So like turn 200 or something in Empire campaign just wanted to come back to say this mod is great. I really like how it diversifies the faction, adds a challenge to them, but for me personally with this lite version, and being a dirty casual who enjoys his drawn out normal/hard campaigns lol, it is a great balance of challenge and actually feels like an invasion/threat to world unlike the current vanilla situation.

Kudos truly, this is awesome, I mean wait till get into Archeon territory lol but so far I've had good time seeing chaos have some chosen, tons of dragon ogres etc, got my ass whooped at first but adjusting tactics and crushing them now, its just super fun lol

Just to let the author know... Some minor Norscan tribes (like Varg or Goromadny Tribe) didn't become Chaos vassals during the early invasion. I don't know whether that's intended or not.

I'll report back with more opinions/feedback, just finished up beastmen campaign and now going to start an Empire run, hoping chaos actually gives me a run for my money this time :D

Gonna try this, burned earlier by trying a simple x3 invasion, didn't make it harder just made it annoying/repetitive ambush, fall back, isolate strat of dealing with them. I concur with logic of not limiting levels of lords as well(175 usually up to level 30 at least with one or more lords I find), I'd leave the unit levels, tho as thats really where the cheese on autoresolve vs AI starts to come into play. I think where the other main mod is probably gearing towards without player interventions they gonna wipe the world, this one imo without player intervention should see it burn out by time their knocking on couronnes door, ie this one, lol again imo, should = Empire/Kislev/Vamps wiped, and main = old world wiped (I've seen it happen once when played dark elves but rare play campaign as western faction long enough for invasion to get there before finish conditions of campaign right, just speaking from strictly finishing the rules of campaign gameplay perspective of course)

Interesting, but considering late spawns (120/170), I don't think that you need to limit the lord levels so much. You can give them 15/30 easily (instead of 20/35 in the standard version).
