If anyone wants to use the farm buildings (they are lovely for an early start!) with the new fertilizer mechanic, here is a stopgap measure to make them use solid fertilizer:

1. Go to the mod folder (Steam --> Workshop --> Content --> 784150 --> 2144903815)
2. Open the Farm folder (first is called "rbcFarmL")
3. Open the building.ini file
4. Add the line " $STORAGE_IMPORT_SPECIAL_TRASH_BIG RESOURCE_TRANSPORT_WASTE 50.00 fertiliser " after the line $STORAGE_EXPORT RESOURCE_TRANSPORT_COVERED 30
5. Save the file
6. Repeat with the other farm folders

You can also add liquid fertilizer if you want (the line would be $STORAGE_IMPORT_SPECIAL RESOURCE_TRANSPORT_OIL 60 fertiliser_liquid ). I chose not to do that, because I like the more 'crude'/organic form of fertilizer (manure, compost, slurry) in my early days of agriculture, later replaced by the wonders of the agrochemistry in new industrial farms.

@Artelas The problem comes when you have 70 something mods with multiple buildings in each and most of them need updating due to updates brought out after they were made. I just don't have the time to do them at the moment as it's a heck of a lot of work. The game is still in early access and things can change further yet, but I do plan on updating some things when it gets nearer to the 1.0 version, if it ever does that is, ha!

@OffTheRailsGaming Ah, that backward compatibility... The solution is usually to release updated version as a separate mod. I've never created mods myself, so I'm not sure how much work is it, but it would be great to have )

Thank you for your work. I wonder, if it is possible to remove mirrored versions and enable textures? It will lessen 3 times space buildings are taking in mod window.

That's the main problem with drive through buildings, they have to wait while vehicles are parking/moving. The coding is limited and you can't have multiple vehicle access where there are parking spaces. The hospitals are probably the worst offenders even without other vehicle access. It's the way the coding works and there's nothing we can do to make it any better unfortunately, that's something the dev's need to fix.

Ah, perfect, thank you for the quick reply. I suspected something like that might have been the case, but haven't been in the weeds of the game long enough to know for sure. A little too late to completely rework my farm layout now, but I should at least be able to drop in a "long way around" option. I hope... :lunar2019deadpanpig:

@Saint Landwalker it is possible but it will cause major queuing issues when vehicles are moving in and out, it is better to leave it as it is. The two entrances are just to make them a little more efficient when reaching fields on either side, but your main traffic should always go around. It's not unusual to have farms with more than one entrance but it's very unlikely that main road traffic ever goes straight through them

Is there any way to make the farms "thru-traffic" compatible? Currently if I have a road that goes in one side and out the other, vehicles from the first side can't reach destinations on the second, and vice versa.

i have a wish, can u remove the Steel need for build. These beautiful buildings were built from brick and wood only. (btw you match the style in in north Germany perfect.)
Steel was only used later because it was quicker and easier than with carpenters.

I will do some soon. I have some other projects to do first though so it may be a week or two, but I do plan on some more of these kind of packs. I definitely want to do some more farm options and then some houses and village/small town buildings.

Could you make a cooling tower mod that expenses the excess heat into hot water for winter season?
