Nice mod ,I could finally dont need to focus on AI cars who Blow up the traffic in the City ,Could make me think i was playing Transport Fever 2 not City Skyline 2.
At least ,for me this mod still working ,i just finish a really fun gamesaving for testing this mod. thank you for making this mod.

I have already mixed your mod with "Marc's Street and Trampack" mod. Now I can use his streets (without the red priority lines) together with your mod so that no AI traffic is on the roads. It works like a charm...

Well, I looked at this part of the code:

-- we do not include "ELECTRIC_TRAM", "TRAM" here because those are already set for dedicated tram tracks,

It basicly says that the roads can only be used by Trucks and Busses...That makes them private roads and causes that red priority line. I already tried to change that code by removing "BUS" from the line, but that crashed the game after a few roads that I changed in the game.

I hope that somebody who knows a little bit more about these things can change the road-graphics somehow and change it, because the mod "as is" works fine...It's just the roads that look so silly and ugly :)

@Driver Kaldie: I completely agree -- the red priority roads look terrible! I haven't played the game in a year or two, so this mod is effectively provided "as is" -- but it might be possible for someone to create a fork of the code that includes custom skins to override the default priority road skins. I looked into this a long time ago but couldn't figure out how to get the effect I was after. Since then, the API has been updated by the creators of the game once or twice, so there might be more functions/options available to implement such an update.

Can't you make this mod so that it has the normal color in the road ? All of my roads have those ugly red priority color and that is real ugly...

I tried it and all streets had the bus lanes activated (I think thats a feature, not a bug, but still ugly). But the cars still drove around as normal.

@Panda130307 That's a good question - I'm not sure if it does, as it's been ages since I've played the game. (sad, I know!) If you discover that it's incompatible with British streets, please tell me, as it might be possible to release a patch in that instance. Cheers.

@HoaDetz Ahh, I see -- that sounds like a nightmare. Even Skylines turns into a Traffic Manager eventually! It's a shame developers don't find better ways for vehicles to despawn, like driving into a garage, a car wash, or an undercover carpark.

@64gamer, performance is pretty good. The issue with the car numbers is that all roads get clogged and basically don't move.

You need to spend so much time upgrading all the roads that you might as well play cities skyline haha

@HoaDetZ Thanks for your feedback on the mod. Unfortunately the game uses an array of what vehicles are allowed on each type of road piece, which this mod changes to eliminate cars. I wish there were more options over the amount of traffic and collision detection too, but I guess that is up to the developers to support in their modding API, unfortunately.

Does the last update to the game improve the performance much? I haven't played it for months, but even with performance improvements, all those vehicles must slow it down a fair bit.

@TornBreeze : Usually cars will disappear when they reach the end of the road piece you've replaced/upgraded, but there may be some exceptions. If you are still seeing cars on the upgraded road pieces, then I'm not really sure why.

It's a bit lonely without cars. If only you can reduce cars by 90% or make cars semi-visible with no hit boxes, that'll be great.

The number of vehicles when towns get up to 600+ is insane. Unless you want to be playing cities skylines with and spending all your time managing roads, then this mod is a must. Even more true if you're using Natural Town Growth mod, which increases the town growth by a far bit (I think?)

I just installed this mod, because I want to keep private vehicles away from a certain factory. Unfortunately, this mod does not seem to help me. I have also made a picture with the corresponding selected street and the associated settings while a car is driving on it.

Don't enable this mod before year 1920 or whatever the year before bus lanes were available. It will crash the game. I kept crashing after passing 1921 and took me two days to figure out what went wrong. Still, it is a very useful mod. Thanks.

@rob.nordli If so, you could try rearranging the loading order (either put this mod last, or put it first in the list - make sure you tick "show load order" on the mods screen where you toggle them on and off). If that doesn't work, and you are using other mods, providing a list of other mods here will enable me to troubleshoot a bit more and isolate the cause to one of the other mods being used. 2/2

@rob.nordli I just tried this Mod with a new game in the latest version of Transport Fever 2 (not the testing version of, just the regular version) with it as the only Mod enabled. First time I tried it with the year set to 1900, and left the speed on fast forward, but no cars appeared, only people on the sidewalks. Then I tried it with the year set to 2000, and put it on fast forward speed. The people appeared walking down the sidewalks, and no cars appeared in the cities or on the dirt roads either. So I'm not really sure what could be causing the cars to appear in your case; do you have any other mods installed when you create the new game? 1/2

@asiff6000fx I have added a comment to Dirkel's "No Animal" mod, which contains instructions on how to replace some files in his mod manually, so that animals should die/despawn when you load in a save game. Please give it a try whenever you can and tell me if you run into any issues.

@asiff6000fx As for removing animals and fish from an existing save game, I'm honestly not sure if that's possible. When I have some free time I will check out the mod that removes animals+fish from new games though, as it's code might shed some light on how they've managed to achieve that.

@asiff6000fx No worries, glad you got it working! I think the red roads may be a skin used by TF2 to indicate that the road is not suitable for certain vehicles -- I'm not sure if that can be fixed/modified by changes to the mod, and it's been a while since I took a look through the modding docs, so I would have to check what the deal is there.

I'm fairly sure that this mod prevents the cars from spawning on certain types of road, rather than hiding the cars as it were. The reason I think this is when I've added this mod to free mode save games (in the past at least), I've had to manually replace/upgrade each and every road that was already on the map, as the cars would still be there if I didn't. I suspect the engine spawns cars randomly on the types of road that support cars, so by taking away all such roads, I don't think it can spawn them at all. (at least, that's my theory)

@c64gamer i am sorry for my previous comment i tested the mode again in the latest version of the game and the mode works fine and no cars spawned but the road colors are red and may I know why is that? and i also want to know a small thing about your mode in your mode you are hind the cars( cars are actually there but not visible) or you are completely removing the cars from spawning?

and another thing is...is it possible for you to make a mode to remove or kill all the animals and fish on the save game map? i am greatly willing to pay you for your great work if you can make a mode for that... well there is a similar mode out there but unfortunately, it works on new game only and not in the save game. please do let me know if we can come up with a mode to make it work in the save game i hope it will improve the performance and many people can benefit from it like your Hide AI Cars 2.0 mode

@asiff6000fx - Thank you for reporting an issue. I've just tested it in NEW FREE GAME mode, and it works as long as I have the mod enabled on the second page of settings (in the top right, where you can customize the mods you load). That being said, there may be issues if you have other mods loaded as well; some are known to tinker with road configuration, which can cause cars to appear like they normally do.
