Only change is that all mounts are unlocked automatically. If you'd like a version that is more like the original, then just ask and I'll make it.

I fixed the mod and added all the new mounts and lords. I'll try getting their permission to post it to the workshop

Now that Warhammer 2 probably won't get any more characters added, I know I'd love to see an update for this great mod, if you have time.

(People saying "this mod is still working": the way this mod is coded, it needs updating when new characters/mounts are added. It still works for all old characters, but the mod cannot work on content that did not exist when it was created)

I was working on same mod last year and had a major problem that made me suspend the project. My aim was automatically unlock the mounts as the characters level up without requiring to put skill points on the ancillaries. For example Malekith gets his cold one at level 7,chariot at level 10 and Seraphon at level 18 automatically without having to put skill points.

Then i realised there is a hidden ancillary mount pool in the system.

Newly recruited Supreme Sorceress had access to all mounts Malekith had previously gotten because i figured out that when i give ancillaries for free upon level up, ancillaries are added to the ancillary pool which can be accessed by other lords/heroes.

I tried adding if current_character:has_military_force() == true then
to make sure only lords with an army get mounts and newly recruired/wounded lords has no access the pool but wouldn't worked either. How did you manage to get rid of ancillary mount pool?

It ain't working on Skink Priests chief. None of the mounts become actually available. Should look into that.

What character was bugged? It's worked perfectly fine for all of my campaigns.
Trust me, Venris knows what he is doing so it's more than likely that this mod doesn't need updating. There might be issues, but they could be due to other mods not behaving correctly.

I like the mod but it started recently to downgrade all mounts to barded warhorse (as other reported).

Turn 120 into campaign it is a lot of lords and heroes to revert to correct mount.

Does this mod disable certain mounts? Because my high elf mages don't have their dragon mounts anymore

Please add a mod that returns the skill tree for mounts! Skills-mounts-Dragons at 21+ levels without being tied to the previous skill-mounts simply break the already weak balance ...

It works, it's just incredibly buggy. For me it seemed to have suddenly realized that my heroes were meant to get their warhorse mounts when they were level 7 after they reached level 30 and were already on manticores.

Doesn't seem to work anymore, the mount skills have been taken but you can't actually use the mounts.

This mod probably causes save curse so my game crashes in 100% when loading into campaign map. Only cashe delete can help. Problem is in messages about mount gaining,if the`re didn`t show - game brokes

This is now bugged worse than the messages showing up. Lost my barded warhorse on the my Lahmia Bloodline Lord, my Vampire Lord doesn't receive a barded warhorse at level 7. My necromancer hero has the horse and corpse cart unlocked without even being high enough level to have them both. Mannfred lost his hellsteed but still has the barded warhorse. I'm sure there are plenty of other bugs with this mod now too.

Engine of the Gods mount works. I am guessing something is bugged with the regular mounts. Doesn't happen to regular Skink Heroes, as I have one of those tooling around on a Terradon no problem.

Same goes for the Stegadon for the very same unit. I am expecting the Ancient Stegadon will also be unavailable as well. Have no idea whether the Engine of the Gods version will be available, as I am not that high enough in level.

Hi Venris, this mod works for my main Lord (Kroq Gar), but doesn't seem to give the mount for the Skink Priest of Heavans you get at the start of the game to use with him. The mounts are unlocked, but it's not giving me the Terradon mount to use in-game for the hero. Wasn't assigned automatically, nor can I choose it as a mount from the drop down menu. Any idea why this is happening?

So removed this (have SFO) and now the game won't launch without it included.

I deleted all my save and replay files but still the game crashes during loading unless this mod is included.

Any one know what is going on?

Hi. I encountered a bug. I'm playing as Gelt and just confederated Reikland. Karl Franz and Volkmar had already their Deathclaw and pimp wagon unlocked but I can't use them. There is only option for warhorse or on foot. Fyi, both were dead when confederated.

Really cool feature! Buuuut... the stats seem to be locked onto the mounted version of my vampire heroes, regardless of what they are riding.

Getting notifications of every turn, every character. Deathclaw replaced by normal mount every turn. Not yet test any mod conflicts.

hi Venris, I just got your mod (as included in SFO) in the mid of my Empire campaign.

It is an interesting mod but it has wired behaviour. It pops up many "mount gained" messages and almost always give a horse to my unmounted characters (but I intend to keep my warrior priests unmounted) post battle, at a new turn or on game load.

I have not yet test any mod conflicts as I don't have much time now, I post an update after reading your script and test things out later...

Awesome mod. It really gives me a chance to play some of the earlier mounts without spending points which I love. Been having a slight issue with the Doomflayer mount for Ikit claw not unlocking or being able to be used at level 6, tried the mod on another character with kroq-gar and it worked fine. I've ran it a few times for testing and it still hasn't worked with Ikit. Though it could be due to me being on the beta or some other mod causing an issue. I'll have to give it more of a look and let you know tomorrow when I try it with no mods but the instant mount one,
