The author is welcome! Can you please update the mod to the current version?
Weaver 31 Jan, 2023 @ 10:14am
I just built one. It appears to receive goods from linked stations so far, but the command to reposition stations is missing now. Being able to arrange them in various formations was one of the things that made this mod really cool.

Any chance for a fix?

Does this still work with the latest version?
Can anyone confirm?

I love the concept of this having a station that is just a wearhouse/cargohold for all my stations to dump and pull from. Does this still work with 2.3?
Ronchi 12 Apr, 2022 @ 1:04am
Scratch that, I can get the box to come up if I select a sector with no ships present in it. So I don't know lol.
Ronchi 12 Apr, 2022 @ 12:49am
The moved goods command mod isn't working, I've been messing around with the code to try to get it working but I'm a real hacker not a programmer. If you would fork that and get it working for me I would be eternally grateful ?
I think the new simulated commands creates a problem where on button press it closes all windows and ofc this needs the window. But again I'm a real novice.

I'm not sure about cross linking the hubs, it sounds like a mixed bag to implement and i'm not really writing much for lua anymore.
Bubbet!  [author] 11 Apr, 2022 @ 8:57pm
There used to be a move goods command mod that you could use to achieve this. Not sure if its updated still.
Ronchi 11 Apr, 2022 @ 5:24am
Preserving the linking structure is defo worth it in my view, if you would consider this development that would be great.
Hellfire 28 Sep, 2021 @ 10:33am
By structuring the production (e.g. having clusters of factories and mines for specific goods in different sectors) I have a better overview of my productions, instead of bringing all producers into one sector, which is performance-wise no a good idea. So spreading out the producers into more than one sector gives me a better structure, how many stations i have and how many units are produced. I hope, I have made my view clear.
Hellfire 28 Sep, 2021 @ 10:25am
I meant the following:
- For me, the HUB is the production center of a sector. All factories or mines will be connected to the HUB as before. But since I don't want or need all factories or mines in a sector, it is necessary to exchange goods between the sectors / HUB. This is no longer possible with the game's supply command, because the HUB itself does not produce or consume.
Bubbet!  [author] 27 Sep, 2021 @ 4:43pm
What do you mean by structure? Just the positioning the stations and the production overview? Because those would be easy to just keep and i could throw out the linking ability in favour of the cargo shuttles. If i get time and feel like working on this maybe i'll look into piggybacking off the shuttle system to get behaviour similar to what we have now.
Hellfire 27 Sep, 2021 @ 5:05am
It's a shame that you won't develop this mod any further, your work has been fantastic so far. With this mod there was a little more structure in the station building and brought more clarity.
Cargo shuttles or not, the possibility or prospect of adding more structure to all of your production sectors made more of the game than it actually was.
Bubbet!  [author] 26 Sep, 2021 @ 4:16pm
Feels like theres little reason to do anything more with this mod now that the cargo shuttles work different.
SirPhoenixBlood 26 Sep, 2021 @ 2:43pm
will this get a UI update so it falls inline with other station trading UI? you know with the dropbox for sending and receiving i ask becuse no matter how many times i try to link stations some just dont want to link or ones i dont want to link do link or i just end up with some that are max on there cargo space and stop sending to the hub
Hellfire 23 Sep, 2021 @ 4:05am
First of all, thank you very much for this mod.

My observations with the 2.06:
1.Factories don't produce any goods if there is no CH, even if they are linked.
2. As soon as CH is added, it starts production, but only produces as many goods as would be the size of the CH. Then production stops. But that is not a problem, as it limits the number of goods in the HUB and they do not produce endlessly.
3. If goods have to be brought to other sectors, the new captain's mission to supply factories doesn't work because all linked factories no longer have any goods in their CH, because the goods are in the station hub and the factory selection for the mission does not display the hub (no producer/consumer). Linking cross sector request!
4. The fetch and delivery system no longer works with the mod, so it should be mentioned. Although the goods are delivered, until it is full and the factory stops producing as there is no CH in the factory available.

Keep up your great work!

Thanks!

It is intentional, traders should still buy the copper as if it was in the hold of the mine. You dont really need any cargo hold in each individual station only on the hub.
Redux 14 Jun, 2021 @ 11:25am
Hi,

I just installed the mod last night. I've been playing on my game for awhile now, and already had a system with 10 or 11 stations in it.

Upon building the station hub, it appears to be draining every nearby station for resources including ones that aren't part of production chains. Stations such as copper mines and coal mines. The copper is stockpiling in the hub, but it has no where to go. I was originally just selling it to traders that would come to my system.

I'm wondering if this is intended, if it will replenish those stations if they run out of resources to sell to traders, if it will continuing stockpiling copper until the entire cargo bay is full, and if I can somehow get my own AI controlled traders to pick up or move resources off the hub.

Is the hub only useful in a system with a specific supply chain?

I was currently just spam building stations that were profitable in my local region of space and not building a supply chain.

This is a great mod and seems to be working out really well so far. The only thing that I've run into an issue with is that the "ring" formation tends to put stations too close together when there are only 2-3 other stations in the sector which results in the stations jerking back and forth and pushing each other away.

You can get around this by using the cube formation until you have 10-11 other stations in the sector.

yes
Iron_Hide4 11 Apr, 2021 @ 10:03pm
does this work in multiplayer?
Bubbet!  [author] 22 Mar, 2021 @ 2:49am
Going to need the log files, that error will flood out the actual problem and its not very helpful because of that.
Francis E. Dec 21 Mar, 2021 @ 11:56pm
Here is the verbose log, if you're interested:

basically this, constantly:

Bubbet!  [author] 21 Mar, 2021 @ 9:21pm
You have cargo on your hub? something else does seem wrong though, what are you logs like?
Francis E. Dec 21 Mar, 2021 @ 9:05pm
Destroying the station causes all stations and factories to once again consume, properly produce, and sell all goods and items to trader. Not sure what the problem was, but the hub was causing it
Francis E. Dec 21 Mar, 2021 @ 8:24pm
I'm not sure I'm explaining this right, so I've attached an album of screenshots that should explain it better: https://imgur.com/a/LXybEy8

The stations have been linked both docked and unlocked, they all in station mode, but they don't produce anything, nor to they pull existing stockpiles of manually added items amongst themselves.
Bubbet!  [author] 21 Mar, 2021 @ 7:08pm
Graph contains nothing by default you have to enable the goods on the legend on the left.
Francis E. Dec 21 Mar, 2021 @ 5:18pm
Sure do. It's very odd, because before I built stations and linked them, the hub displayed a graph that contained nothing, but was very clearly a graph with lines. This went away when I linked them.

Can you think of any other things I can do to troubleshoot it?
Bubbet!  [author] 21 Mar, 2021 @ 4:23pm
Mod is up to date, you've got all the required mods listed on this page?
Francis E. Dec 21 Mar, 2021 @ 7:21am
Have this mod loaded on a Server, and am experiencing the same issue as PrepareYourAimus.
Traders turn up, dock, and leave without dropping off or buying anything. Additionally, I can't seem to get the factories or mines to actually *produce* anything, ever since I linked them to the Station Hub.

When examining the Station Hub menu option in the station hub, the graph and production overview are all blank, as is the section Stations Linked. However the Show Beam option connects to all stations. Not sure what the problem is. Is this mod still being maintained, or is it out of date?
Bubbet!  [author] 18 Feb, 2021 @ 12:14pm
Re link should link to all the stations you own, if it doesn't do that i don't think there is anything else i could add that would.
RCTFORME 17 Feb, 2021 @ 8:53pm
Is there a way to add a station to the station hub? I have one that is not linked for some reason, though it seems the others are.
Bubbet!  [author] 28 Jan, 2021 @ 10:34am
You're missing the required mods
John Kuro 28 Jan, 2021 @ 8:14am
How does this work? when i open the UI its just a grey box
Delta 38 15 Dec, 2020 @ 2:59am
Sad to hear it, but thanks for the reply :)
Bubbet!  [author] 14 Dec, 2020 @ 5:41pm
Im not sure how possible that is anymore, because the hub functions different from then.
Delta 38 14 Dec, 2020 @ 4:31pm
Love your mod :)
I would like to see the cross-sector-link Hub! :claptrap:
PrepareYourAimus 12 Dec, 2020 @ 12:27pm
yeah on every station i checked active sell but the ships are just docking and leaving without any interaction
Bubbet!  [author] 12 Dec, 2020 @ 12:17pm
They were buying things last time i was playing with it, you sure you've checked the sell button?
PrepareYourAimus 12 Dec, 2020 @ 9:04am
cargo ships dont seem to be buying from stations after i have a station hub in the system they still dock and fly away normally but they dont seem to be buying anything anymore
Bubbet!  [author] 28 Nov, 2020 @ 10:04pm
I mean now you can dock them and bring them all to one sector.
Meter 28 Nov, 2020 @ 7:55pm
Yes, please add inter sector connecting! I would love to send my coal from my mines to my steel factories and later on to my steel tube factories without the need to constantly shuttle them back and forth.
ExC3pTioN 26 Nov, 2020 @ 9:21am
Yep! Works fine :D
Thanks for the fast update!

And thank you for the great mod!!!
Bubbet!  [author] 26 Nov, 2020 @ 8:40am
Thanks for the heads up, I've fixed the problem hopefully.
ExC3pTioN 26 Nov, 2020 @ 4:43am
Hi Bubbet, i think the update today broke something.
The stations dont show any goods.
Got 3 steel, 3 coal 1 old metall factorys connected.
Log states:
tradingmanager.lua:169: bad argument #2 to 'find' (string expected, got nil)
Bubbet!  [author] 21 Nov, 2020 @ 7:51am
xavorion is the problem, i do a very simple table.insert to add my station to the list of stations. And i'm pretty sure last time i looked at this problem it was because xavorion was overwriting that entire table afterwards.
CubeBix9000 20 Nov, 2020 @ 5:53pm
Love the mod is there any plans to get this working with xavorion? or is xavorion the problem?
Bubbet!  [author] 12 Nov, 2020 @ 1:18am
yes that is the point in it. Cargo shuttles are probably broken now because they all think they have the same cargohold not something that is worth fixing as the logic is only applied when the hub is active so they are not broke without a hub but with a hub you dont have to worry about shuttles
