One of the screenshots does show the carpets (using a "tool" though)
As for the crafting functionnality (more like the mining/processing) it is to make a slower yet "until 100" training.
Arkhiel  [author] 11 Jul @ 4:55am
Toughness is a metal spike carpet, some are indeed just bland carpets (weapon attack/defense) , MA has its own model

FRAUD :steamfacepalm:

In the picture in the mod description, the simulators look beautiful and organic - standing on nails, a wooden mannequin, etc. but in the game they look like a carpet on which you stand and craft something like on a machine (although at this time, dexterity is trained). It looks very ugly and unrealistic
Arkhiel  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 1:39pm
I actually didn't chose them (the rates). It's just vanilla rate when you use some workstation (and not specific trainers).
For the mats i'm using vanilla models, if i make them a lil higher they will levitate everywhere else :/
Giganch 9 Sep, 2024 @ 4:43pm
Really pleased with the training rates you have chosen, I do have an issue to report though. Multiple swamp buildings (the metal ones) have issues with the mats. They seem to be placed under the floor a bit causing them to be invisible and iffy to use. Don't have a base yet, so this is happening and two of the buildings in Shark.

NP with extending my mods :)

Hello this is my favorite training mod, excellent work!

I have made a submod for this that adds expensive research and build requirements. I hope this is ok, let me know if any issues, thanks:

Thanks you a lot, will test it out.
Arkhiel  [author] 19 Dec, 2023 @ 6:48am
The altar is for crafting belt items that reduce the damage to 0 (to add on a captured bandit and your char for example, so they can train forever)
magne.moe 18 Dec, 2023 @ 9:33am
This mod is genial, yes fighting level up faster but you have to find the enemy and heal up after fight. Here I just assign people an training on downtime and rotate.

But has not figured out the altar, how does it work?
moonracer 8 Jun, 2023 @ 2:09pm
Thank you! That'll save me quite a bit of time!
Arkhiel  [author] 8 Jun, 2023 @ 1:43pm
yup ^^
moonracer 7 Jun, 2023 @ 6:24pm
First, this is great. Thank you for sharing. Second, I'd like permission to add a modified version of this to a total overhaul I'm working on. I'd add you to the credits with a link to this page. Would that be okay?
Arkhiel  [author] 23 Jan, 2023 @ 5:28am
thanks! the tech was "upgrading" the blunt trainer instead of allowing it.
Should be fixed now
azraelfl 22 Jan, 2023 @ 5:50pm
I like the mod, but I have an issue, I picked up the blueprint for Blunt training a long time ago but I can't find the thing in the build menu. Everything else works fine, what am I missing?

Thank you for making a great mod.
I have created and submitted a Japanese language mod.
If you have any problems, please contact me.

Arkhiel  [author] 30 Mar, 2022 @ 1:18pm
Thanks ^^ , indeed i'd rather make devices that you can't use until X level, or stuff like that to balance, but well...
Cigg 30 Mar, 2022 @ 12:38pm
Aww, that's unfortunate. Using generic functionality allows for special tool use, which is nice to get creative with the animations and tools but I guess has lesser scaleability in terms of stat gain. (Not that the default curve is bad, I just wanted to create a personal mod that had tiers with costlier blueprints).

Thanks for the explanation, this is a very well thought of and balanced mod!
Arkhiel  [author] 30 Mar, 2022 @ 12:41am
the speed is hardcoded for skill increase using benches
Arkhiel  [author] 30 Mar, 2022 @ 12:40am
You can't ^^, that's why i used the generic functionnality and not the training one (which has a limit but goes faster if you are way below said limit)
Cigg 29 Mar, 2022 @ 4:07pm
How do I scale this faster in FCS? Changing the output values in FCS doesn't seem to do anything. I wanted to create two tiers of this, with one being faster than the other, but no values seem to make training go any faster.
?_? 6 Jul, 2021 @ 12:40pm
Can't begin to say how awesome this mod is, you can just 4x speed the game while your soldiers are training and farmers are working hard to just barely feed them lmao
BrendanatorX 13 Dec, 2020 @ 3:34pm
Haha, I think a variety of blueprints in general even vanilla show up rather often whether rare or not, so it should be fine at a low amount, thanks heaps man!
Arkhiel  [author] 13 Dec, 2020 @ 10:43am
ok it's greatly decreased (from "30" to "5" in general, even less when it was already lower.
Arkhiel  [author] 13 Dec, 2020 @ 8:40am
Well ancient chest could have them, but yeah 5-7 in a shop is way more than indeded ^^.
Can't access right now but i'll try in a few hours
BrendanatorX 13 Dec, 2020 @ 3:35am
I don't have any other mods that affect shop inventory so far I don't think, but I often go to for instance bars, general stores, mechanical shops and see 5-7 blueprints from this mod. I do sometimes only see like 2 but I feel like that's a minimum that I almost always see them unless it's a ranger/weapon/armour/helmet/thieves/food store kinda thing.

I even find them in the chests in ancient libraries which I assume are meant to have blueprints in them but perhaps not these ones? :P
Arkhiel  [author] 13 Dec, 2020 @ 3:30am
Might depend on other mods too, I often get 1/2 bp from it
Arkhiel  [author] 13 Dec, 2020 @ 3:29am
Hm yeah I'll lower that asap
BrendanatorX 12 Dec, 2020 @ 7:33pm
Oh, also forgot to mention but is there any chance you could make the chance that these appear in vendor inventory lowered to like 25-50% and maybe remove it from chest loot pools if possible?
Every time I see blueprints I always get excited to see if there's something new to learn and it's always the blueprints from this mod that I already have XD

If not possible or messes with things don't worry, just a QOL suggestion :P
BrendanatorX 12 Dec, 2020 @ 5:37pm
Sounds good, can't wait to see a final product!
Arkhiel  [author] 12 Dec, 2020 @ 8:08am
I've put them at normal scale ^^ .
they're supposed to be placeholder the time i get something satisfying to put in place
BrendanatorX 12 Dec, 2020 @ 4:22am
I love this mod more than just about every other training mod I've seen, and I've used this a few times now, my only issue is that the tiny training mats can be hard to click on and target, and it seems their physical presence only exists in roughly the centre of the tiny mat.

Any chance they could be altered to be regular size rugs? hopefully that will also fix it being difficult to select but I think also standing on something the size of a large book for training is funny and could do with a slight change :P
huflungpu 23 Oct, 2020 @ 5:33am
@Arkhiel i will definitely check out your other mod, although I am not sold on the sparring partners mod, as it does some weird stuff with your character's faction after exiting sparring. But straw weapons might be nice for beating on those legless bandits.
Arkhiel  [author] 23 Oct, 2020 @ 2:05am
reasonnable not possible*
Arkhiel  [author] 23 Oct, 2020 @ 2:04am
you can also use straw weapons (my last mods) in combination with the sparring partner mod (linked in straw weapons).
It's somewhat cheesy as it's faster than this mod, but is "possible" as you still have to micro manage .
huflungpu 22 Oct, 2020 @ 4:58pm
Thank you for this mod. All the others are either very cheaty, or have been way overly complicated. Im just trying to keep my guys from getting roflstomped by the Black Dragon Ninja raids.

Arkhiel  [author] 17 Aug, 2020 @ 12:15pm
when I get time and motivation ^^ , parenting doesn't give me much time :D
BreakUrSelf 17 Aug, 2020 @ 12:07pm
Yea, carpet stuff. That would be awesome, like, to see the difference between them. Keep up the good work!
Arkhiel  [author] 17 Aug, 2020 @ 12:05pm
You mean for the carpet devices (attack/def or dex, str etc ?) , I used placeholder that were meant to be small, as you kinda train on "nothing". But mabe I'll add some models decorating (that would help recognizing them), thing is I have to real clue what kind of decoration :D .

For the speed, can't do anything, it's hardcoded as for training in vanilla speed.
BreakUrSelf 17 Aug, 2020 @ 11:56am
Crap. Deleted my previous post. Just wanted to say thanks, I really enjoy this mod. My only suggestions were; maybe make the mats a bit bigger or in different shapes and sizes, a bit hard to see and target them on the ground, esp if its uneven ground. Also maybe release a bit slower version, I know it goes super slow later on, but in the start at least, for its cost, i was able to train my 5-6 guys in to 50s very easily. 3x food is also ok I guess, but could be even more, for a trade off.
BreakUrSelf 15 Aug, 2020 @ 4:34am
@Arkhiel. Thanks mate, didn't need an import, jsut tried. Everything looks good so far. Thanks for the mod,I really like it
Arkhiel  [author] 15 Aug, 2020 @ 3:03am
Also, took me 200 days to get to a 95/80 combat stat dude strong enough to barely solo bugmaster with MA.
Arkhiel  [author] 15 Aug, 2020 @ 3:02am
It shouldn't, but if you are in town and need them to appear before waiting for re-roll of vendor lists, you might need to.
BreakUrSelf 15 Aug, 2020 @ 12:49am
Does this mod requires an import?
THANKS OBAMA 22 Jul, 2020 @ 1:52pm
S'all good lol, I figured trying to get animal use would get funky since they don't interact with stuff like people do, something like this will be great to keep my units from killing eachother with their bows for training.
Arkhiel  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 12:19pm
Also quick information, in about 90 days in game I got to an average 70 stats (one at 80, others at 67) for toughness, dex, MA, dodge, str , past 65 it gets real slow. And it's for one char.
Arkhiel  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 12:17pm
Could't get it work , sorry :/ , might work with bed functionnality but that means you could train when in coma.
Wish it worked, it's funny to test stuff with that mod
THANKS OBAMA 22 Jul, 2020 @ 7:12am
Far too kind of you man, even if you can't get it running I'm grateful you chimed in that you'd look into it.
Arkhiel  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 6:43am
It may crash with skills they are not supposed to have but for toughness or attack il could work, i'll check
