It has sound, but the intro is very very quiet. This needs to be increased if it is supposed to be a very good intro.
Cap10_Nade 20 May, 2022 @ 11:45am
After several attempts: Intro has no sound. FPS drops to unplayable. No idea what to do next when inspecting the place where the agents disappeared ... biggest problem for me: fps partly below 15 ...

Guerilla man, I've written a little document for you with some script examples from my missions and my own custom bikb editor. Download here [drive.google.com]. It's not a detailed tutorial, but I hope you can find something useful and figure things out from examples. That being said, I don't claim that this is the absolute best way to do things, you might find something better.

i understand, i am a student and i have the same thing.
voveraitis  [author] 21 Jan, 2021 @ 8:29am
OK. If I have time on weekend, I might compile a little document for you and post the link here in the comments. No promises though, my schedule is a bit tight.
Guerrila man 21 Jan, 2021 @ 6:26am
sure that would be great and i will figure out things out by my self if there is no tutourial:steamthumbsup:
voveraitis  [author] 21 Jan, 2021 @ 1:58am
There's no tutorial as such, but I have a few scripts and a few trick, which I can share with you later, if you want.
Guerrila man 21 Jan, 2021 @ 12:46am

UPDATED: fixed the bad weather bug, when resting in safehouses too much. Now, resting in safehouses does not cause fog and rain anymore.

NEW MISSION HAS JUST BEEN RELEASED! Take the role of rhe postman and experience his inexplicable adventures on Stratis, as you deliver vital supplies to the NATO forces to support their attack. Postman in Stratis . This mission is going to be lighter and have the HUD markers to help you navigate, although, as always, if navigationis not an issue for you, I recommend to play it on Veteran level.
voveraitis  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 12:22am
I myself, personally, play ARMA on veteran level with all those markers turned off. It was a struggle at the beginning, but now it's much more fun to me. It adds an extra challenge of navigation.
voveraitis  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 12:17am
And, Liberty_Valance, I said to you earlier that the basic navigation is nicely explained in the prologue campaign. Have you tried that? When you get your bearing with the compass to the known landmarks and by that you can find out your position. Also, observe your surroundings and try to find the corresponding place in the map. Also, open your map and plan your route: like "I'm here, now I need to follow this road, take a left, take a right and then I'll get there...". I might add those markers later, but until then, try to at least learn the basic navigation. Once you learn it, you might get fun out of it also.
voveraitis  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 12:12am
I guess I will consider adding the objective HUD markers (also, other people who play here: whatdo you think? Would this make the mission better?), but I can;t make any promises right now. Currently I'm working on another mission (and it will have objective HUD markers, if it will make it easier for you). But anyway, I will recommend, that if you know how to use the map and navigation, play this on veteran level or turn those markers off.
voveraitis  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 12:10am
The point is to make people use the map. You can navigate throught the map using the compass and the map, by referencing known landmarks. I could put the HUD markers to the main objectives, but you would blindly follow the markers, missing everything that is on the way. There are so many things to find that you wqould probably just miss if there HUD markers were there. As for the walkthrough, it is meant for those cases when you get stuck. You're not supposed to use it like a cooking recipe, following step by step. It's only when you don't know what to do.
Liberty_Valance 21 Jul, 2020 @ 1:19pm
It seems you dont understand. Why a walkthrough instead of putting indications in the scenario itself !
voveraitis  [author] 21 Jul, 2020 @ 1:26am
Updated the walkthrough. I might have missed a thing or two, but most of the stuff should be there now.
voveraitis  [author] 21 Jul, 2020 @ 12:13am
Dude, you know, navigation is part of the idea in this scenario. I have tried to explain everything to you, but if you can't read and you can't use the map in ARMA 3, then sorry, I can't help you. If you don't like this scenario, go play something else and stop moaning here.
Liberty_Valance 20 Jul, 2020 @ 12:49pm
Ok, I see what you mean; so now, one has to leave the game on hold to find some solution on the net ! Great advance on the design or warlike games or any game ... why not a booklet and a user manual ... and more ! This is becoming ridiculous. Why not put it directly into the atask or objective.
Also, the trick with the bomb in the car does not add anything to the scenario except making the gameplay last 5 seconds more.
Really !
Liberty_Valance 20 Jul, 2020 @ 12:43pm
What and where is the walktrough you are talking about ?
voveraitis  [author] 19 Jul, 2020 @ 10:01pm
Although if you like the kind of scenarios wher you just have to shoot evryone and nothing else, then this is really not that kind of scenario.
voveraitis  [author] 19 Jul, 2020 @ 10:00pm
Man, have you read the walkthrough? Do you expect everything to be put in plain sight for you? You havet o search and use your brain sometimes! Not everything is obvious.
Liberty_Valance 18 Jul, 2020 @ 10:45am
as usual with these scenario with questions mark, there is nothing there to find
voveraitis  [author] 17 Jul, 2020 @ 11:32pm
I'll try tu update the walkthrough next week.
voveraitis  [author] 16 Jul, 2020 @ 11:56am
Another thing I have done is I defragmented the hard drive. This could have had influence. I suggest you try that, but if RAM is really the problem, then it probably won't help much.
voveraitis  [author] 16 Jul, 2020 @ 11:54am
Alpha, I have tested the mission and it runs very smoothly for me. Runes even smoother than before. Verry little time for FPS to drop. My guess (but it's just a guess) is, that maybe you need to have more RAM. I have 8 GB, and I looked at the taskm nanager - ARMA is using almost 5 GB. I'ts a huge mission, and probably uses a lot of RAM, so if you, say, have only 4 GB, then windows starts using the hard drive and things can get really slow. But it's just my guess, I might be wrong.
voveraitis  [author] 15 Jul, 2020 @ 8:07pm
Can I ask you guys: those who are playing this: can you write your experience (as far as the low FPS is concerned: does it pass or does it stay?) and you computer's specs, so that I can see whether it's related to computer specs or to something else?
voveraitis  [author] 15 Jul, 2020 @ 1:16pm
Anyone else having low FPS all the time? Or does it pass? Besides, added a walkthrough. It's sad that so little people are playing this, but I don't wanna lose you guys, so added the walkthrough afhead of time.
voveraitis  [author] 15 Jul, 2020 @ 1:10pm
Hi, that's strange. For me it's like 20 seconds. And my computer is some 7 years old. I don't know, this shouldn't happen. I will investigate. All the dynamic simulations are turned on. How much RAM do you have and what processor? It's a huge mission with a lot of enemies and stuff, but for me starts running well after some 20-30 seconds.
Alpha 15 Jul, 2020 @ 12:52pm
Hi I have waited for like 15-20mins for the low FPS in the beggining to past but given up. Any estimated time when it FPS drop will rise again? Thanks, Im just excited to play your mission.
voveraitis  [author] 14 Jul, 2020 @ 3:43am
2) You have to find your objectives - there won't be HUD markers. However, the author has put his best effort to make the map as clear as possible. There will be obvious map markers that are placed EXACTLY at your objectives, or, in case it's in a house, EXACTLY on the house. Zoom in and zoom out on your map and try to figure out where your objectives are. Keep in mind that they might as well be above or below you.
3) I would like to make a request that if you like this mission, please rate it, and share it with your firends, tell everyone. This took me MONTHS to make. I hope it was worth it and you will enjoy it.
4) If something's not working, tell me in the comments. If I have an opportunity, I will try tu fix in case something's broken.
voveraitis  [author] 14 Jul, 2020 @ 3:43am
Just a few release notes:
1) As a special forces operative in Her Majesty's service, you are expected to be able to use your map and compass and to posess at least a little bit of common sense. If you don't know how to use your map to navigate, play the "prologue" campaign - it's explained there very nicely.
